FBI didn't recognize a man could be raped till like 2013, so I believe it, especially in a country like japan where perverts are practically a part of the culture.

 

The problem is not that women maintain their unique social advantages, or that they also want those social advantages that men have, but that they call it equality. The reality is that women have always been socially superior to men. You've heard the phrase behind every great man, there is a great woman? There is truth there.

Makes me feel absolutely nothing. I neither live in Japan, nor am I a law-maker in Japan. *shrug* And reading comments like 'women this, feminists that', just reminds me of men's reactions when they read articles and comments like 'men do this, men are like that'. If you've ever felt unfair that you get pushed into some general box due to your gender, you'll know what I mean.

 

How can you say that? Women gained the upper hand (socially) only in recent years.

 

No, they gained the upper hand politically.

 

Based on what I know, US servicemen can rape local women in Japan and came off lightly...

But, seriously.... Any talks about rape and sexual assault would bring any feminist and MRA (gamersgate) people to come and torchs the thread with incendiary weapons...

That is true. They only fight for rights. I fully understand this, and that's where my sarcasm stems from. The fact that for the most part, they only emphasize things that are convenient for them, despite commonly saying that they're fighting for "gender equality"... though to be fair, it's not just feminists who do this, but pretty much everyone in the world.
I'm sorry if I offended you. I didn't really mean to, but I'll stand by my words that it is a bit hypocritical. Though I'll also be the first to admit that I, too, am hypocritical; and more or less every other group of people, not just feminist, are the same to differing degrees.

And I'm pretty sure there are people trying to fight to correct these problems... though clearly unsuccessfully. Namely, I'm sure at least some of the victims have tried to fight for their rights; but fighting for legislation is difficult, especially for fringe cases like these and with public sentiment being against it. Some may say "you can't rape the willing" as a joke, but I know a few people who truly believe it's impossible for men to be raped... they pretty much treated it as a joke.

P.S. and I would try to fight for certain rights where I'm from, but it is actually a danger to my life if I try (for some things)... so I've decided to stay quiet. I'm sure at least some other people have the same issue.

Was it not? I thought it was the case where the student got arrested for rape while the teacher was still being charged with assault?

Ok it's not. Sorry, but I remember reading about a case where a female teacher had sex with numerous students and they got jailed for rape while she only lost her job. Can't find it any more...

 

Yeah, I've heard about those kinds of cases too. Or the case where it was found that a girl perjured herself to get someone she had a bad breakup with imprisoned for rape, but was never charged despite him losing a decade of his life. The world has terrible people in it.

 

Someone tried to get me to do that for her once. I refused, but am still stunned that she seriously asked that.
She still won the harassment case, unfortunately. And I only have the she-said, she-said for conspiracy. Nothing I can do about it...

Unless by upper hand politically, you simply mean that more women vote then men because you're write about that (though that isn't what you said).

 

You're entitled to your opinion, but it doesn't really impact my emotional state. One only has to read the posts in the thread to see what I have said.

 

And can I see some evidence that would suggest any basis for what you have said?
