Author wasn't confident in their work and didn't want it presented to foreign audiences when asked for permission. Though they seem to be confident enough to sell it on Amazon
The author had a publishing deal set up from the start. The webnovel was just a way to build up an audience before the light novel release. No new novel gets a publishing deal within 2 months of appearing on Narou. It wasn't even that stand out popular either so it definitely wasn't that. Even Kumo Desu Ga which was a run away success on Narou for how popular it instantly was, took six months to get a light novel. Basically he just didn't want his webnovel version getting translated and posted to foreign audience since it might affect his publishing deal.
It was alright. I don't think it was anything that really stood out. Only thing that stood out was the fact that MC got put into his female game character's existence. Otherwise it was just any other overpowered MC travels the world story.
