In all honesty you can't expect Deathblade level quality. Also, translating Er Gen's new novel when it has just started is a plain bad idea. Deathblade mentioned how author play with words and that many chapters are hard to translate as the text have multiple meanings in chinese but you can't convey the correct meaning to English readers unless you know the future plot. Even Deathblade has to edit past chapters even after knowing the future plot due to Er Gen's writing style.

Even the title of this series can be wrong.

Fatso is perfectly legitimate localization option. They basically mean the same thing. The connotational meaning isn't even different. Different translators make different decisions with synonyms. Deal with it. Or read MTL's, that'll show 'em.

 

Does it even matter if its similar to ISSTH? They're the same author, sure, but they're different universes, different MC's and practically different genres given this series' focus on comedy. Comparing the two is pointless. Constraining the translation to fit Deathblade's is a matter of choice, not necessity. And while, for some things, it would certainly help to ease confusion if the translators used the same translations, for something like this, the only people who would be confused are idiots. Therefore, it doesn't matter. Therefore, there's no point in complaining about it.
