Hi! Is there any textual evidence in canon or good fan theories about the exact nature of abuse Shen Jiu had experienced at Qiu's? I found in fanfics, it's a popular plot that SJ was actually an illegitimate son of Qiu father and/or was sexually abused by Qiu borther. Is there any evidence or meta to prove it disprove this?
Hi! In the 79 extras, it's explicitly stated that Shen Jiu was physically abused by the Qius. If I remember correctly Qiu Jianluo even brags about Shen Jiu being forced to take any and all types of abuse because of his status as a slave. And I think it was heavily implied that there was some sort of sexual abuse as well. As far as I know there's no canon evidence that Shen Jiu was related to the Qiu, but hey, MXTX didn't say they weren't related, so.
I was also looking for people opinions about this and I found that most people believe that, yes, SJ was sexually abused and that can be seen by his behavior. Also, sexual abuse can also be used as a way of showing superiority, control and dominance, so…
