    When I say Action, I am not referring to cultivation novels. I'm talking about mafias, gangsters, underground society and whatever that could be associated with action aside from martial arts.

    I'm kinda curious about the tropes in each genre.

    Asspulls comeback wins.
    We havent been told about anything of it but when the MC is losing suddenly...
    He pulls out some hidden skills or bloodline powers or cheats out of nowhere and win easily with it..
    Its cheap and its bad writing..

    It isn't about action What I'm going to say.

    But There is some case that most I hated.

    Oh dear, don't down the darkness. Stay same! Stay what you are! *Crying* *Crying* Like these.

    That cliche is used mostly in shonen series. And It might be worst cliche that I hate.

    i didn't know this site had anything other then martial arts in the action genre:hmm:.
    so i will go with the magic trope where the mc is this weak guy in magic, but he is good at teaching and fight. then he meets op girl who has the most talent ever but can't fight good. latter useless guy shows off he ain't trash because he has a special power no one else has( at the time to latter reveal he has a older sister or some evil random guy with same power but stronger, smarter, and has a super power backing them)

    When mc gf is kidnapped but didn't get raped. Wtf. It so illogical when the gangster / young master usually fooling around with women but didnt do anything to mc gf.

    Transmigration novels in which the mc knows everything about previous jobs for example knows about medicine like an encyclopaedia.

    When every bullet by the villian's miss while every MC and Friends never miss. When the villian's bullet does hit its usually in the arm or foot despite the torso giving a larger target

    I don't mind game systems, but the majority of authors don't do it justice and end up wasting a lot of potential by removing all the customization game systems can give.

    Like: When Mc powers up (everytime except if it depends on luck like picking up max leveled weapon)
    Dislike: How villains portrayed as very strong but end up getting beaten up so fast =.=
