Neither is the wife leaving you for someone else. There needs to be an adultery tag or a cheating tag because NTR is predicated on the 'rape her til she loves me' idea. I am tired of everytime the MC has his heart broken, the comments are all NTR! NTR!.

Summarizing it, netorare is a very specific kind of adultery where the cheating part is forced at the start, but later becomes willing or even eager (or "rape them until they fall in love", as you say).

As an NTR expert, I'd say no. It has been established in Hentai community as long as the POV of the person being cheated on is present, it's NTR. If a girl has been described as a married woman has sex with another man but her husband is nowhere to be seen, that is cheating.

The verb is defined as "stealing another man's wife or lover" (there's also reverse-NTR for stealing someone's husband or boyfriend), and it's composed by "sleep" and "take" in a passive form. Cheaters are not always being stolen, and it's most often played to cauase a character breakdown than a jealous reaction, as it's more often than not irreversible (and in "reversible" cases, sequels are left that make the stolen party more prone to cheat or be stolen again).

Man, we didn't even manage to teach people what is reincarnation and what is not. Let them think whatever they want about NTR for a while, until we solve more important things.
But I feel you. Seeing retards spam NTR-NTR in the comments whenever something happens is very irritating. And I'm mostly okay with it if they think adultery is NTR, what I'm more annoyed at is when they spam NTR whenever something small is hinted. Like, most of the times it is not even close to being a NTR but comment section is full of NTR comments. They make new readers drop the story because of their stupidity too...

 

Problem is that the readers might not represent the general population. So you get a couple of kids who have a completely different understanding of the word NTR to 99% of people and these kids are the only readers of this novel. They tag it NTR when 99% of people wouldn't....that's not useful for new potential readers.
