"Yeah, thanks," mumbles Ayumi, and tightly hugs Rei.

 

"Sure, anytime"
Rei hugged Ayumi back and settled both of on the bench.
She was starting to get tired of standing all this time.
After a while it was clear Ayumi wasn't going to let go of her for the time being, so Rei made gesture towards the Master to get them dinner for two and a mug of booz.
"Hey, where do you stay? Like Jack's room for example?"

 

"Mhm." Ayumi remains by Rei's side in silence, until she asks about where Ayumi sleeps. "Where else am I supposed to stay?" asks Ayumi Rei.

 

"Well, you don't seem to have much coin on you....... I was wondering if you needed a place to live. I see you have that covered though. It's nice to see he is someone who cares. Did you tell him about your past yet?"

 

Ayumi doesn't mention the fact that she, in fact, does not own a single coin. "No, I haven't told him about it yet."

 

"I see. Well no rush. Jack seems like a sensible guy, so he will probably wait until you are ready to tell him. Or more like any man who will blame you for keeping it a secret doesn't deserve to have manhood and should have it cut off"
Rei doesn't notice as a couple of nearby male customers suddenly bent over in phantom pain.

 

"Oh! That's quite a brutal suggestion." Looking at Rei, Ayumi continues. "Especially concerning that it comes from a former man."

 

"Hmmf, man or boys, there are certain standards between them. So what's due is due.
Besides I lost mine, and for all I know it might remain that way forever. So I don't feel bad about speaking this way anymore.
So, changing the subject a bit- did you and Jack really went ......All the way? How was it?"
After her strict words and expressions,
Rei whispered the questions with a small blush and visible sparks of curiosity in her eyes.
There is no way she is gonna let go such a perfect opportunity to gain something she can tease Jack with on their next meeting.

 

"Uh, no, we didn't. I just fell asleep that night, and we woke up together the next morning."

 

"Oh. Huh, well dinner is here! Itadakimasu!"
Rei tried to change the mood and hide her disappointment, small relief, and guilt over feeling that relief.

 

Somewhat confused, Ayumi stares at Rei, before shrugging and starting to rapidly consume the food on her plate.

 

Rei took her time eating and drinking while watching Ayumi emptying her plate.
She made a sign to the master and whispered to him in an excited voice.
"Please put her food expense on Jack the Gourd's tab"
The master stared at her for a moment and asked "are you two friends of his?"
Rei made a.cheeky smile and said "sure, friends share beds together right?"
The master shook his head in an exaggerated manner and said "very well" and walked away while mumbling something that sounded a lot like "damn lolicons".

"Eh!? May, where did you come from?"

"Very comfy." Confirms Ayumi.

"Oh." Ayumi falls into deep thought - and hugs May. "Feeling better?"

 

(~^o^) "yes~", may hugged her back happily "how are you~?"

 

"Oh, I'm feeling good! Just had some food."
