Rei released the guy's hand as she turned towards her kinsmen.
"Oh hello Grendel.
Nothing much, one thing led to another and I was reading this person's arm muscles to guess which weapon he uses and how he fights."

 

Arawn remembers the unintentional strength in her hits and winces again.
"Oh, I could definitely see that," he says.

 

Arawn looks up at the tall stranger and greets him nervously.
"Hello, I'm Arawn. It's nice to meet you."

 

"Oh, that's interesting."

Grendel replied with a smile,
"Hello there. Name's Grendel, nice to meet you too! I take it you're also an adventurer?"

 

"That's right. I'm an E-rank hunter," Arawn replies. "What about you, Grendel?"

 

"I'm also an E-rank, the same as you. As for my class, I'm a warrior, but I know a little bit of magic."

 

"Oh, magic? What kind of magic?" Arawn asks, perking up slightly.

 

Seeing Arawn's interest, Grendel chuckled,
"It's just a simple offensive thunder element magic. I usually just use it to cover myself or my weapon with lightning, like this," Grendel demonstrated by applying it on his hand for a moment. "It's effect is nothing great, though, at most it can only paralyze my enemies for a few seconds."

 

"That's still amazing!" Arawn cheers happily. "I can't do any magic... I managed to get my hands on a book for it, but I can't make heads or tails of it... Magic just goes over my head."

 

"Oh, that's too bad. Hmmm, have you tried looking for a teacher?"

 

"Magic is something you can learn?" a girl spoke without thinking.

 

"Oh, hello there, jou-chan. Didn't see you there," Grendel greeted the girl. "Also, yes, as far as I know, magic is something you can learn, though it needs a lot of effort in your part."

 

"Oh.. em.. Hello... I'm Lykke.." The girl shyly replies, "I thought magic is something to be born with..."

 

"Hmmm, I was taught that what people were born with is more of an 'affinity' towards certain types magic, not the whole magic ability itself. While it certainly is harder, I think it should be possible to learn other magic outside of that affinity. Oh, and I'm Grendel, nice to meet you!"

((....I didn't break any lore, did I? ))

 

"Anybody want to play darts with me? I feel like doing something but I can't be bothered going anywhere." Kathicia calls from the rafters whilst juggling three knifes.

 

"N..Nice to meet you..." Lykke nervously response, noticing the other was 1-2 head taller than her. "Em... you seem rather knowledgeable on magic..."The girl mumbled, don't know how to continue the conversation.

"Hahaha, not really. It's just mostly from what I'm taught and the books I read. Are you perhaps interested in magic too, like Arawn here?"

Surprised at the voice from above, Grendel looked up to find a girl juggling knives on the rafter.
"I'd be glad to accompany you, but please stop juggling those knives right above people's heads. It's dangerous, you know."

 

"Y..yeah.." the girl said embarrassed, wondering if it isn't everyone's childhoods dream to learn magic.

Lykke fellow the oni's eyes, and almost was scared lifeless by the sight above, jumping 2 steps backways.

"It's not that dangerous it will hit the table if I miss, so you got any daggers?" Kathicia drops to the floor whilst still juggling the daggers into some hidden place. When she lands she spins around and pulls out a fan.
