I'm pretty sure he does, but I think the time he shows up is different. In the LN he first shows up at the time Eliza gets attacked by the giant bird but in the WN he doesn't.
But maybe only in LN... Almost forgot, the author once tweet that she had a part-time job on weekend till the new year. So no new chapter in this year anymore.
Has the translation been dropped? I looked at their announcements from the translation group and I couldn’t find if they have said they dropped it. I also couldn’t find if they release any chapters in patreon by looking membership ranks (cause they don’t show the content until you pay for membership). I think its highly likely that the author stopped writing this novel because the last web novel chapter was published august 2019. I really liked this novel. Its really sad that there won't be a conclusion for the web novel. I'm not sure if the light novel version was completed

It's different. At very least LN has only 3 volume. It's completed. No Otome game/School arc. If you interest some incomplete spoiler, you can read on this thread page 5.
