you'll only get an alert for particular threads once. if you viewed the alert, but haven't visited the thread (after you previewed the alert), you won't get anymore alert for it. profile post, on the other hand, you'll get an alert for each post in it. the easiest way to reset your alert is to make the system treated as you've viewed all the thread which you have alerts on. go to https://forum.novelupdates.com/ and then click on "mark forums read" if it doesn't work, go to https://forum.novelupdates.com/account/alert-preferences untick all options you see, hit save, logout from the forum, and add the ticks back after you re-login
