Discussion Am I a racist or species-t towards dragons (and non-humans)?

I don't know why, but I'm starting to develop feelings of prejudice against non-human beings, especially dragons, and their many forms or races. I can't exactly recall when, but indeed, I'm beginning to understand that perhaps... though I abhor humans so much, I would rather eliminate non-humans than humans. I mean, I don't exactly hate dragons or non-humans, but if I were to say, give-in to my urges, I would like to see the extinction of dragons. They piss me off. They annoy me, with their behavior and violent ways. Why bother coexisting or maintaining peace with another 'kind', that could practically do more evil than us, humans.

I'm probably exaggerating with my bias, but still... I can't rid the desire to commit genocide on this winged lizards, with some capable of human transformation or whatnot. I might be also reaching too far, but this lump of malice in me, craves the eradication of all non-humans on this Earth. Even if they're good; slay them all. Like a snake eating it's own tail, let it all return to origin.

Well, given that the extinction of all non-humans means death for all beings, that's probably not the best idea.

 

Oh yeah... I kinda forgot animals are non-humans. My bad, I tend to look at people as if they were animals subconsciously. My mistake, I mean to say, non-human humanoids, which are not livestock.

Eh, depends on the novel. In some novels certain races are depicted as inherently evil or bad, so it's understandable to detest them in that case.
In my own novels, I tend to prefer to depict every race as similar to humanity: it's members are capable of both the greatest evils and the greatest goods, as well as everything in between. In that case it would pretty much be racism, and/or possibly xenophobia?

Yes, dude. You gotta spread love - the love for killing things that isn't human. Death to the furries, the scalies, the fishies, the shellish and the chitinish. Only then can we feel peace, if we can't eat em, EXTINGUISH them.

 

I am pretty sure all Westerner have the same idea as Dragons are mostly seen as a Menace there, but if dragons were as real as they are magical. Than humanity might as well be no different than slaves or anything lesser to them.

So it is fine to feel that way especially because they are as dangerous as their look suggest and humans always go killing off the most dangerous be it intentional and unintentional.

However, it doesn't matter as Dragons are Immortal in both our reality and dreams meaning that no matter how one desire that they extinguish, they will always live on forever.

Just recently, I have heard people starting to discriminate against innocent goblins!
Seriously, these people just can't understand goblins are just like them if we ignore their appearance and certain cultural tendencies.

Yeah, it sounds like something is up with your, uh, emotions there.
"Letting it all return to origin", in alot of novels those races would be older than the race of humans, so, humanity would be one of those wiped out, and the oldest non-human race would survive, if you really wanted things to return to origin.

As for me...
I've come to dislike vampires...
A couple of times, I liked a new novel I was reading, and then a vampire showed up, and the author completely didn't balance things and the story got messed up. Things went from survival to wish fulfillment without tension or substance....
