Discussion am i not a good compass?

This is always happened to me.
When some strangers asking about some address/street/way/direction, they always got into different direction from what i pointed.


I feel little guilty about it.

 

Maybe they though you was pointing in the direction they went.

Or they was reading a manga like one piece and got possessed by zoro or some other directionally challenged character

Depends, if I am in a good mood, I would use my phone to tell you the direction. If not, I will politely ask you to fuck off.

 

I'm good with relative directions but bad with cardinal directions.

 

I see no option for, "I am the human incarnation of the Bermuda triangle."

Because that is me.

 

I'm great at giving directions, but terrible at following them. Like this one time, I was absolutely sure that I needed to take the first left on this street. I took it, but everything looked so foreign I turned back after just a mile or so and drove around for another half an hour before going back to ask for directions again. Turns out that I would've gotten to my destination on that first left if I'd just kept going for another half mile.

So ya, kinda a compass. Just not a good one.

if it's only one stranger, i will doubting it, but it's already the fourth time for me to experienced it.

 

If a person has to ask me because he can't find the way with all the plethora of signage and techs we have now...

He'd be walking straight to hell with his stupidity if I don't show him the way personally.

BTW in the film Abraham Lincoln said what good is a Compass if you don't avoid the swamps and bogs in between you and your destination?

Thanks. I'm not joking either. I have difficulty recognizing things visually, so I often get lost even in places I should know well. Something will zap in my brain and I won't recognize anything around me. I can eventually reorient myself, but either involves a lot of wandering or asking for directions. And me trying to give directions to other people... Forget it. The looks of abject confusion on their faces is an almost certainty.

Just think of that classic anime trope, of the guy who never knows where he's going. That's me.

 

I can never get lost. I have perfect skill of finding my way anywhere

 

just use the sun as west/east position.
