Instinct- If (Nameless) feels that he is in danger his scales will harden for a period of time.
Sixth sense- Being a half-monster has allowed him to gain a ability that allows him to know if he is in danger. However, this ability will only activate if he half a second from getting hurt. This ability also allows him to identify things with malicious intents.
Sneak- He can easily traverse in a forest or crowded areas without making a sound.
False Alarm- By rubbing his scales together he can imitate a person's footsteps.
Climbing- His sharp claws allows him to easily climb trees or cliffs.
Nexus- He will feel neither hot nor cold.(This ability is practically a joke in the backstory...)

Backstory:

His mother was a mutated lizard, his father a monster. His parents were killed by a group of humans.
When his parents were killed he managed to run, and escape. He came learn of fear, fear of death. Fear of humans.

Whilst he was sleeping in a cave, he suddenly felt a wave of cold run over him, and it was a feeling he had never experienced before. He did not know what it was, it simply made him tremble. When he looked out of the cave, he saw a huge winged lizard, destroying something he could not make out. And that made him learn that there were stronger beings out there, stronger than the group of humans. And he wished to take that form. He wanted power.

All of a sudden, the winged lizard came crashing down. He could tell by instinct that it was intentional. The winged lizard flew up again, but it seemed unharmed from where he was hiding. Suddenly, something happened to the scales of the winged lizard. They changed, but he could not make out how. All of a sudden, he realised that had to be the key to bringing him to the form he wished to take. A blue bolt shot into the sky, hitting the winged lizard. It did not come out unscathed. He could see a small wound at where the bolt had hit. Why had the bolt hurt the lizard and not falling? He thought that it had to be because of it's absolute power. But this time he saw. He saw the scales changing once again. He saw it clearly this time. The scales had grown, thicker, bigger, stronger. He wanted the power too. He wanted to become the winged lizard. Destroying with ultimate supremacy. Suddenly, a wave of heat swept over him. It fought off the cold that the appearance of the winged lizard gave him. And with the wave of heat came strength. He could feel it in his bones, he could be, would be, and he should be stronger.

Oh wow. That was longer than I thought it would be.

Name: Jacob Gray (The Demonic Craftsman)

Age: 35 (Actual age 75)

Abilities:
Demonic Illusion: Able to appear human, and freely manipulate illusions to assist him in various ways. He often hides his store to those who don't meet certain qualifications in order to minimize both annoyance and the danger should the Doomsday clock strike. Sometimes he inadvertently makes illusions in his sleep, which can cause chaos for others.

Demonic Charm: Gives off a charming atmosphere that makes others find him appealing. Unfortunately it seems to work especially well on men of a certain persuasion... This gives him headaches as he wants a wife and children, and has no interest in a husband. It also interestingly allows him to be able understood and hear any language as his own despite his location.

Demonic Craft: Can pick up literally anything and make it into a magic item. If he did not make the item itself the effects are always random, and usually come with some kind of downside or curse attached. If he personally makes the item himself he can control the abilities imbued and minimize the drawbacks but not completely get rid of them.

Demonic Time: He can stop time for .666 seconds at instinctively, which gives him an edge on reaction speed to anything unexpected happening. If he gets a hold of a persons blood, he may perform a ritual to curse them by either aging or regressing rapidly. The ritual only takes 6 seconds.

Demonic Contract: Rarely used, but the contracts he makes are binding to the very soul, and are disastrous if ignored.

Hell Fire Affinity: Fire cannot harm him, and he can magically manipulate fire as he pleases, and create it at will.

Ambition: Destroy the Doomsday Clock without killing himself, Have a successful Magic Item business and family, Gather any and all occult knowledge.

Back-story:


A German native, Jacob was a clockmaker and one of the first to be affected by the changing times. When he was thirty-five he finished his masterpiece. A clock that was the accumulation of over 20 years of his dedication to clockwork that was his obsession in childhood.

As he finished the clock, a strange phenomena happened, The clock glowed red, striking a strange melodic tone, and he passed out. He awoke to find himself changed into a Demon, with another name whispered in his ear. Over time he realized the "Doomsday Clock" he had crafted not only changed him, it had halted his time! He could not age, and even if he killed himself, as he tried in later years, he would appear back in the vicinity of his clock. It could not be moved from the shop, and seemed to protect the entire area his store occupied. The clock itself never kept regular time, but every so often, it would slowly make it's way round to strike 12 o'clock. Every time it did, something terrible would happen.

Jacob found that the severity of the curse depended on the frequency of it happening. Once every day some minor annoyance would occur such as spawning masses of trouble making Imps around his store. But if more than a month went by, he could be transported straight to Hell! Jacob actually spent more then 10 years in Hell after such an occurrence, desperately fighting for his survival. Ironically by the time he figured out how to exit the place, he had gained two subordinates named Toric and Imalia who each had a legion of lesser devils under their command!

For some reason, they are both convinced Jacob wants to lead the armies of hell to Earth one day, though Jacob himself doesn't know how they came to that conclusion, and out of fear for the safety of Earth left them in Hell under the order to "Do something productive while I'm gone..." He simply wants to run his store and have a family, a normal life. But the damned clock always prevented him from being anything but a loner. He could not find a way to destroy it, every time he tried, as if it was sentient, the clock would strike 12 to spite him, and who knows what horrors would show?

Because of the nature of his curse he is obsessed with anything involving the occult in his search to destroy the clock. He will often leave the store on the rumor of something that intrigues him. His store will sometimes assist and sometimes interfere with this endeavor, as it likes to "travel" as well, often appearing in random deserted alleyways across the globe. He can be in Switzerland hearing the local rumors one day, and find himself in London the next. As he lives in his store, if he leaves however, the store always seems to wait for him to return in its original location, but seems to resent him staying away from it for more than a week, as he will often find himself, sleeping outside one moment, then being teleported to the damn clock the next.

Thanks to his time In Hell he is very physically fit, and knows how to use various bladed weapons and torture devices, and is an expert on defensive and offensive occult rituals, particularly those effecting other demons. Thanks to the cursed clock he is always hyper-aware of danger. Otherwise, he spends his days peacefully buying and selling magic wares doing his best to live a normal life, and hopefully find someone to share it with, working to overcome his curse so as not to put those he might let close, into danger.

Here be a draft @Quaesitor let me know what you think honestly he is almost like an NPC... but I don't mind. he's not after power or anything extravagant. Just an unfortunate soul. I will have to come up with the stores' defenses and such as well as the items currently in the store. Not all will be magic, mostly antique, but he will have a separate part of the store for items of those sorts. The store and the clock are almost characters in and of themselves.

As far as the Hell subordinants... I'm not really attached to the names or anything, so feel free to change them. I just liked the comical idea that he was a Boss in Hell when he particularly didn't want to be one.

Spoiler: Backstory

It’s been three days since Historia been kicked out from her house, the reason being tested to be magically inept and her parents couldn’t support a child that can’t do anything in the era of magic. The test involved the participant to pour their magic essence to an orb and measure their potential, the orb will shine various colors and decide which tier they belong to, the darker the colors the better. When Historia pour her magic essence into the orb, the orb shined a white-ish for a while then it flickered for a while and the light cease to be. The reason she was considered inept wasn’t because she was actually inept, it’s because her potential is to learn magic is too high for the orb to scan. After being kicked out from her house, she was immediately chased around by a lone wolf. After running for an hour straight, she was exhausted beyond believe and went to a place where the bushes are dense. Unknowingly she fell into a pit in the bushes and fainted. When she woke up, she was being treated by a half man half tree creature. The creature was silent, as if it can’t speak, staring into the eyes of Historia. The creature started drawing pictures, telling a story about a man so knowledgeable, that he was confined in an ancient ruin, Historia noticed that the story is about the creature in front of her. Then he proceeded to write down various sentences explaining how his going to die and needed someone to inherit all the knowledge that has accumulated in the ancient ruin. Historia accepted the request, thinking she could at least be useful to someone, not knowing that she will be the one that shook the entire world with her magic and knowledge.

Five years after she first fell down, she was ready to face the world and ready to go out and explore to expand the library of the ancient ruin.
