This is a small enhancement to the mobile user experience, at least for android chrome users. In chrome for android there is an option "add to homescreen" that, normally, simply add a link to the website on the homescreen (obviously). Yet it is possible to have such linked site behave more like a real android app, for example without chrome interface.
