    What's up with that, why didn't they immediately get 4 seasons. Why 2 and then wait 5 years for 2 more? For example DxD, Date a Live...
    Are they running out of anime that isn't just a poor man's version of all the older ones?
    I guess animeland isn't that different from Hollywood, with Dragon Ball and revival of Bleach...

    It could be a variety of factors like budget, legal disputes, copyrights or firm takeovers etc. animation is also an inherently time consuming project so they could have only planned on doing two seasons but the anime did unexpectedly well so they had to start the whole process over for two more seasons. This situation isn’t uncommon to the silver screen either. For instance the sequel to avatar (the one with blue people) is coming out this year and the first one came out over ten years ago

    Yeah, financial bits, people gathering and agreeing (which like money, once more needs an active and influential pusher behind it), actually doing the project,....

    And still, they can end up with something worse than the original.

    As many shitty Hollywood remakes proved so far.
