I'd say Uramichi Oniisan, To your eternity, School Babysitter, Bungou Stray Dogs, Buddy Daddy, Mob Psycho 100 should be fine. Haven't finished watching Blue Period and Odd Taxi but they do look good. Was gonna say Neon Genesis Evangelion and then watch your mom have existential crisis but let's not be that evil(•‿•) Fruits Basket is really good too, but it's Shoujo so romance is indeed there. And Season 3 is the best so it may be hard to watch season 1 for some people.
