    I'm looking for this TV series I watched 5 or 6 years ago or any related novels about it.
    So this is how it goes: the mc comes from a family of archeologists?(mc isnt one) and gets transported to the past along with his bestfriend?(cook/chef in the dig site) with one of the relics they found, fast forward a bit... the mc becomes a soldier and the best friend becomes a eunuch, they both fell in love with the princess, argues and becomes enemies, fast forward again, they found pills that grants immortality takes one each (one each for mc, best friend and princess) and uses it to return to the present (live long enough till the present time)

    PS: it was Chinese
