Question Anybody use WordAds? I have some questions.

Just like what the title says. I have been removed from the program and would like to know if anybody else experienced the same. They said it's bots or "non-human" traffic.

 

I don’t use wordads and I don’t even know what that is lol but since they said that then it’s either a mistake from their end or you used bots

 

Perhaps you might be using a vpn? maybe thats what triggered it

 

I couldn't even afford those even if I wanted to hahaha

So here's the full story:
Two days ago, I received the wordads earnings for the month of february:
Since it's my first month, I decided to post at the support forum whether this was normal or not. I mean, look at that. I was expecting a small amount of earning but not that low.

So I was quite bummed about it and just wait for march earnings and see. But the next day:

I suggest contacting their support/help team or customer service department to inquire how such a thing came about since you’re positive you haven’t used bots. It’s probably a mistake on their end, it just doesn’t add up, unless they’re shameless enough to wanna stiff you 3 bucks

huh.... what website? Are you sure it's not a generic website bot like the one from NU that is skewing the results?
Try and get the statistics, or ask them if the bot statistics are centred around a certain date/time or evenly spread out for the whole month.... What is your update frequency?

I update everyday. I asked for statistics but they said that I've already been flagged by the partners.

As far as I know, I only update via NU. And if that's the reason then there should be more buzz around that topic, but there seems to be none.

 

It seems like they don’t even bother showing proof and they won’t even discuss the topic so my advice is to use something else instead of wasting your time on them because tbh from what you’ve posted it’s shady af since:
1. You’re sure you haven’t used bots so they’re basically trying to f*ck you
2. The figures in your first pic for feb don’t add up at all
3. They won’t show you proof or even discuss the matter with you

Edit: I’m no professional in regards to such a matter, in fact I’m far from it, so I’d also suggest you get in touch with other translators and get their advice/opinion on which ad software/company to use

 

It could be because of aggregators stealing your translated work for their own sites, that's done by bots after all.
Another possibility, altough unlikely, could be novel updates automatic release grabber.

I think the former may be more likely, since the way they copy the text might trigger a response from wordads.

I can't think of one person that's used wordAds and made any money. You'd likely make more money with Adsense. But I do not know the analytics of your site and would not be able to gauge your income.

The bots thing must be real. There's no way that wordads would make a mistake - monitoring website traffic is their business and they have no reason to lie and say that there are bots when there aren't any.

NU and aggregator bots wouldn't trigger a penalty from advertising partners.

Someone is definitely using a bot to inflate your website traffic. Perhaps you pissed off someone and they are the ones doing it.

Hey, I was also caught in this mess recently and after looking at what you've said, I guess I'm screwed too. I guess the only option now is to switch to WordPress.org or other other domains. Worse of all, I'm signed under their Business plan and either I wait for it expire by the end of this year, or I'll have to forego it and change to .org...

And I love how they emailed me saying: "You have violated our terms and condition due to non human-trafficking."
