I didn't see any other thread about this... This is not quite a bug, but I noticed the site still has a problem with only showing one or the other apostrophe in the search results. (' or ’) Strangely, the popup will display the correct result regardless of which apostrophe you use, but when you press enter, the results will only include the specific type of apostrophe used in the search term... Can you please fix as I have novelupdates' search incorporated into my browser? It's particularly bothersome because if I need to search again with an angled apostrophe, I actually have to google one up to copy and paste it. Please don't just convert all apostrophes here to straight ones. Sometimes, one does a search directly from another website that used an angled apostrophe. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure the only real apostrophe is '... ` is a thingie you put on top of letters in some languages, like à. The ` doesn't really have a purpose in English AFAIK.
He means single quotation marks. The right single quotation mark shows up in 175 pages of results. The left single quotation mark shows up in 21 pages. And apostrophe shows up in 97 pages. Of course, they're not always used as an apostrophe.
