Neuralink will likely be the true first step to improving augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) systems! Neuralink may not necessarily be the first to perfect it, but they sure made the first step for others to follow and create new paths to a futuristic world. And like Elon said, hopefully it should be a benign AI scenario. Our only main problem would be the feedback from the public on how the first human trials will result, and should it succeed, then it will also attract the attention of those in corrupt in power. So basically humans all over again. Meh~ None of my concern as a lower-class citizen, but virtual world fantasy, here I come!
Musk can only hype people with fancy ideas(which aren't even new) and doesn't deliver on his promises.
Ah, you mean this? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cn...-human-test-brain-computer-interface-in-2020/ He just finished testing on monkey and mouse then just started asking human test subject maybe someone want to volunteer? I 'll decline though since what elon want is to put a chip in a brain then connect it with AI to make symbiosis.
People already lazy by playing games while sitting, and now we can also do it while sleeping? Oh, future generation...
..... .......... ............... *Wonders where he should sign up for the human trials* Not doing anything constructive, so might as well further the field of study I would most like to happen.
I don't understand the poll options. I'd love VR, just for the opportunity to try out a lot of crazy moves without having to worry about broken bones. Just imagine it. Sounds like a possible problem would be people in power might add silent little 'viruses' to the tech slowly brainwashing the people using the VR to always vote for X, or to really hate Y, or to really want to eat flan for some reason... *shivers* Hopefully that doesn't happen.
Nono, we should be optimistic. If this is a thing, people can work by day, come home and go to bed and use the precious 8 hours that would be otherwise spent on doing nothing but sleeping, to learn Korean and translate Japanese. What could be better than this?
