Discussion Are people self aware when they are cringey?

While here I am being the most vulgar, sarcastic asshole that I am with my friends without any shame swearing at my friend's house but becomes the most angelic saint to people I don't know

Yeee I definitely didn’t realize I was beinf cringey when I was younger, bc I used a lot of Japanese emoticons and came off as waayy more expressive online than I was actually feeling.

But that was just the social norm in my online circle at the time, reading back on my old posts now though, I could have toned it down on my emoticknuse

 

Just be confident.

 

In the heat of the moment most don't realize how cringey they are. But aftwerwards some think back on how they acted and kinda just roll around in shame

Not many people that know me know that I really like anime and manga. Well, the people that I've known for ages but I'm not that close to. My family knows, because I lived with them, so it was unavoidable (the computer was in the living room) and a few friends that also like anime know as well. Still, it's a really toned down version of how I would react in certain situation.

Anyways, I would actually prefer to be cringy as fuck and own it, than to show a fake persona only to not be disliked. And I feel it's better to show who you are to others (if you aren't all that good at interacting with other people, lying smoothing and not thinking lies are a pain in the butt like me.) You can kind of feel those awkward moments when you and your friends are quiet because you don't know if you should go into a topic or not, because you think they don't want to talk about that or they think you want to avoid that topic.

 

I can't count the amount of times where I said something or did something I sorely regretted a few hours later. When I think about it afterwards, I cringe. I should think before talking.

And then I remember I shouldn't care too much either. Being and staying confident is important as well.

Yes, but after a certain point you just don't give a fuck anymore

No, they only realize it in their sleep at 1 a.m 2 years later.
The more they need to go to bed early the more likely to agonize and cringe over it. Regular alcohol consumption may delay it to as much as 5 years later.

 

Some people play at being cringy while others don't realize they are. I have had times when I have done both. The time I wasn't aware of being that way was back a few years ago during my weebo days, but I have also purposefully been cringy to either get a point across or just to be a jerk and mock someone.

Lol, I hug and spin with my family, eat my grandnephew, cuddle and kiss my wife and a bunch of other stuff on a daily basis.

Fear not cringe or edge but stupidity. Its contagious and extremely volatile. Stupidity can get you anywhere to self-harm or harm without being unable to avoid it. Fear infinity of stupidity.

People who are aware might turn into psychos if things get out of hand

People who are not aware are just psychotic at best
