There's a saying here that children would think that food made by their own mother is the best-tasting. Idk, because of the relationship or because the children are just used to tasting it daily? My mother's cooking does taste good but her taste can be very heavy, while I prefer my food plainer
Ai-chan's parents can cook, but it's not like they're Michelin chefs or anything. Ai-chan's mother has a small restaurant, and she's the main chef. But her skills are all self-taught from reading cooking books and experimenting. Ai-chan won't say she will win any cooking competitions, but her cooking is delicious. Her stingray dish is so delicious, so much so that just recalling it makes Ai-chan salivate now as Ai-chan types this.
She was but now she’s gotten lazy with her cooking the taste and texture of the food is worse than before and when I point it out no one believes me sometimes I almost kill my mum cause she keeps mouldy food in the fridge and doesn’t throw it out it happens a lot
I would think that's the case. I will always worship my dad's cooking though. Never had stingray before, if it induces salivation from reminiscing about it, it must be good or you have low standards. Good on her for owning a restaurant though. I am sorry. My grandmother also used to be the master chef but she's too old now. Sigh.
At least she has her good dishes. How often does she make it? At least she has her good dishes. How often does she make it?
My mom's cooking is pretty amazing, as long as she doesn't try to make the cooking "healthier" or "get cooking advice from others". I am not saying everything she makes is delicious, but a lot of stuff are which is both a blessing and a curse. By curse I mean, the down side to having really good cooking at home is that when you go to restaurants, you get all excited about all the food you are gonna try, only to end up with disappointment. So the food is better than most restaurants. As for my dad... he mostly helps with the cooking. He doesn't cook things fully himself cause his tastebuds are so bad, everything tastes the same to him. You can replace his food with a leather boot and he probably would chew on it and say it tastes good.
At least you feel happiness a few times a year. That's also the problem with my dad's cooking as his rice tastes so good. Luckily he's lazy and cooks rice once a month so restaurants are still frequented.
My dad's fried rice tastes good, even better than my mom's. BUt that's it. My mom is quite good at cooking. I like spicy chicken the most Definitely not me *hiding my blogs about my horrible cooking
