Cost of anime has risen, crazy directors like the one from Evangelion cannot squeeze animators dry and get a great work as you could over 2 decades ago. Mostly because the bar for quality has risen too.
Timing and pacing aside, the CGI is Overlord 3 level bad AND DON'T LET ME GET STARTED on the hair change...That is frickin powerpoint level animation! And sure a way to cramp hours of suffering and pain causing gradual hair color loss into one scream. Any adaptation is always gonna fail, in some way, to a fan. I’m still excited and happy... Though disappointed in Knights and Magic, I still enjoy. And I still have hope it turns out as good as a Tensei Slime.
