genius+ her ignorant about her potential + probability to face problem from her sickness h mentioned before to Mr. Otto
I bet he just wants her badly for her knowledge and monopoly for her items... bam! benno's gonna start civil war with his in-law's otto, lol
Just started reading this (Was alwqys interested but was waiting for more chapters) Currently I am onpy at Chapter 6 when she makes the shampoo. After which I was thinking. "Knowing me, if I tried to do that I would develop some sort of slow acting superglue and make a total mess of my hair." PS: making a comment here largely because i didn't see a comment section on the translators site.
@asriu I would be fine with disqus. And don't have a problem with it usually. Maybe for some reason it simply didn't load? anyway Chapter 8 is about paper. this is actually one I can do. (Although what I remember most is making new paper from old paper) i also have made my own ink before (from rose petals, since that is what I have in my garden) As a little kid I had fun making my own paper so it woupd look old and then make a treasure map out of it haha
No idea why, it's no doubt an issue with the webbrowser on my phone. Not too big of a deal really, and if i spent 20 minutes I have complete confidence I could solve the problem... But I rather read XD PS: exploding clay. As someone who took pottery, I can understand how awful it feels when something you spent a lot of time and effort on... explodes. Although I had more problems colouring things. Like I once made a really great elephant, painted it a nice shade of gray, and after firing it turned near pitch black. I also made a killer whale, but one of the white spots wasn't painted solidly so it has a washy look to it (I display that one in my china cabinet with that flaw facing away )
Ah, at this point I really have 5o say I love how tbis story doesn't give the MC an OP power or background, and whose knowledge of the modern world doesn't instantly make them some godly merchant. Even just making something to write on has taken nearly a year of her time in this world (and from where I am has yet to truly succeed), let alone making some nationally reknowned breakthroughs in technology.
It's a really nice one indeed, Maine is a really nice character, and even though she is in a fantasy setting, she can't do anything too incredible, it's really one of my favorites at the moment! ... What?
@brasca123 She used wood and a soot based marker to write, and then they were burned turning into ash and soot. Ashes to ashes, and even more literally, the soot became soot. PS: rereading my post through your quote I realized all my typos. I blame writing on a phone.
Oh, that. And don't worry about the typos, they happen to everyone! I just enjoy my spellchecker because I use PC!
Scary guild master is scary... Now that the poor Maine is his target, what will he do? Rather, what when he founds about the paper? I'm curious~
maybe he'll ask his granddaughter to submit to her or force her to show Maine's product ⊙﹏⊙ Maine's gonna screw it anyway...
I just like to point out some sadness to ruin people's day but still important to remember for a fictitious character. Spoiler Little Maine blamed her mom for birthing her the sickly body. A few days to some times later she passed away alone in bed. She spent her five years sick and rarely able to leave the tiny apartment and when she left the world no one cried for her or even felt sad as her loving sister and parents didn't even know she died instead they welcomed a alien into their home wearing the skin of their departed little child.
good job pointing that out... Idk if the family just doesn't want to face the reality = pretend as if nothing happens or that stupid not to notice Maine...
she's gonna screwed up, like badly... lol... oh, finally.... a new clue about the cure of her sickness...
