Recommendations Asian drama about showbiz that doesn't really focus about romance.

After binging oshi no ko for 3rd time, I'm in need of showbiz story. but since manga/anime/novel sources with this theme are limited, I'm willing to branch out to asian drama. Also... romance as the main theme is a no-no. But if it is just sprinkled here and there, sure.

Glass Mask, maybe Skip Beat but that one has a very heavy romance subplot so might not be to your taste but it might be worthwhile to take a look.

 

Nah. Subplot is alright. I just don't like it when it is just romance, romance, romance like shoujo manga I read back then. Like, the showbiz world is just a setting that the MC didn't develop. In skip beat manga, I like kyoko's inner struggle. Ren and fuwa shou are kind of bad though in terms of romance, like, ren is a doormat, and fuwa shou are borderline stalker. How many years is it since it is released, again? And still until the ninja kyoko arc, it's stalling in terms of romance.

 

You mean it's stalling, period. lol.
But try Glass Mask, it's a very old manga but the story is awesome.

The Entertainer. It's a kdrama about the entertainment industry and from what I heard, it doesn't focus on romance
