For me, that would be Autumn in My Heart. I particularly liked that one. I talked so many people into watching this and they all ended hating me because it was sad and it made them cry. I used to like K-Dramas a lot, but now that the novelty has faded I'm more picky. American Tv-Series have spoiled me, I like their pace. I still like watching Chinese period drama, even tho I often drop the series after a few episodes. Hard to find quality stuff like "Nirvana in Fire". I do still prefer the old-school stuff from the 80' and 90'. If only I could get my hand on "The Grand Canal" with English subtitles *Talking to you Santa*.
in my signature is the link. lol i haven't seen any on your favourite list, will definitely add them to the plan to watch. i dropped it Spoiler around the hill scene, where she escapes from captivity and they start making out on the hill. the problem i had with the drama was that yong pal stopped being yong pal after 1 ep.. i would have liked it if we could see him doing his illegal doctor work for more episodes
holyland- japanese only. korean version kinda sucked yoshihiko and the demon king's castle galileo- series and movies
holy shit the holyland korean version was soo bad, it almost ruined the manga for me. thankfully it was only like 5 eps, so i didnt have to sit through torture for long.
I use to watch k-dramas but I dropped them. The ones I did watch was historical k-dramas about kings rising to power and wars. I use to watch c-drama fantasy shows like wuxia or something else. My favorites are Sword Stained with Royal Blood(c-drama) Return of the Condor Heroes(c-drama) Yi San(k-drama) The Great King Sejong(k-drama) show will make you respect every single villain Tree with Deep Roots(k-drama) Laughing in the Wind(c-drama) Kingdom of the Winds(k-drama) Jumong(k-drama) The Story of the First King's Four Gods / Legend(k-drama that put me on k-drama series fantastic music) There are many more I like just hard to think. Probably been a good 3-4 years since I've watch a k-drama. Eight Days Mystery of Jeong Jo Assassinatin and Conspiracy in the Court are two short k-dramas that is good and quality. They're about 8-10 episodes even got a nice ost.
Yeah. But I haven't watch much as I started not long ago. The ones I enjoyed the most were Fated to Love You (korean version and just until the time skip), Love O2O and Boss & Me. My favorite genre is romance.
Yep, I used to watch a lot, now I'm pickier, but I still regularly check out the new titles. Mostly kdramas. All time favs for me are: My Name is Kim Sam Soon Coffee Prince Secret Garden Queen In Hyeon's Man The Greatest Love Full House A recent kdrama that impressed me majorly was W -two worlds. Amazing script!
I don't think I have, I saw the movies tho, even bought the collector swords afterward, but they were from the Manhua. Great soundtrack by the way.
I saw the 2nd season of that because it was translated. I never saw the first season of Wind and Cloud. I wonder if its translated now.
I watch mostly Chinese dramas nowadays. Usually period or wuxia ones. The modern ones are usually super cliched; on the other hand, the period/wuxia ones usually have strong and smart heroines (even if they're not the lead), which I really like. Though, recently, the modern ones are getting better as well. In general, there's a certain intelligence and wit found in the characters. My main criticism of cdramas is that they are unnecessarily long sometimes. I used to be briefly into k-dramas, but they're becoming really predictable. The characters do a lot of really stupid and infuriating things. The plot is not "tight". K-dramas are usually written as they are filmed (or at least extremely sensitive to viewer reception), so the plot isn't as solid as they could be. Lots of the middle latter half of k-dramas could honestly be cut out. I don't watch any Japanese dramas. With the exception of a few, they pretty much suck. The acting is terrible or the drama ends up being super boring. I notice in adaptations of novels and manga, there's a tendency make everything work out even to the point of being unrealistic. There's a sickening positive spin on everything as the drama draws to a close.
Nodame Cantabile is my fav... ...and Hana Kimi... ... oh and also 'Jewel in the Palace' coz there's one kickass lady in that kdrama, and the food...
for action/romance, 'Descendants of the Sun' is good, 'You Who Came From the Stars' is good too they're k-dramas that were really big when they aired so yea. but tbh, its more romcom with some action in it
when it comes to asain dramas I watch what ever catches my attention. However I seem to be watching types about family and love a lot lately and K-Dramas. some of my favorites would be: My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (k-drama) Oh Hae Young Again (K-drama) Wonderful Life (K-drama) Daisuki! (J-drama) Hana Yori Dango aka Boys over flowers (all versions) japanese version was the nicest, korean version felt the realist and the Taiwanese was a combo of the two I could on and on but I will stop here....I think....
