1. IMO "this weeks update" should be the name of the novel and the released chapters for it below. Or you could show the released chapters next to the pictures, with the date those chapters were released also.

2. It just seems really empty, maybe you shouldn't let the announcement be linked, but instead shown below the "Asian Hobbyist" logo. Or maybe a weekly poll for something, it's seems bland an dead IMO.

3. The donation thing should also be on the side. Maybe below the poll. And maybe an estimate for how much is left for a sponsored chapter.

4. You could also make a weekly recommendation for a novel or movie, below the donation thing. Basically a "Weekly recommendation" or monthly.

 

Um...all I can say is that right now it feels empty. Having the pictures of the novels be bigger would be helpful, or have a design in the background.

 

It is still a demo, that is why it looks empty. I will take your suggestions into considerations.

Dark mode on mobile. Titles’ color should be changed into a more readable one.
Other than that I’d like to have the icone a bit higher (in the same line than «Asian Hobbyist »), this is just a personal preference though, it just tick me a bit.
Nothing else bothers me. Kinda like it.

Honestly, putting a few ads there isn't a bad idea-- just in moderation or for stories on your site. Maybe a story isn't doing so well and you're about to drop it. Putting a small ad for it on the site will maybe make people more interested in it.

Ads also do help make it feel less empty, and they're generally welcome if they're out of the way. Besides that, maybe let users make an account where they can add certain novels to their library. Then post those novel's updates on their page. Announcements is also a good thing to have on the page, even if you don't have any yet.

 

Maybe add something like a recommendation section of the other novels you translate or finished translating below the recent updates.

Because the whole page looked really short & empty if it's just announcements & recent updates.
Maybe it'll help to invite new readers into reading novels that has been buried deep by the recent updates

 

I wish I could report this for spam/unwanted advertisement. I'd assume it would just bug the mods though.

 

here on pc, (firefox 65.0.2) the novel title isn't easy to read, the novel covers cold be a bit bigger?

A dark background would be a lot easier on readers' eyes. If you feel up to it, you can make it so users can switch themes.

The placement of the subsections is a bit odd to me, since it's in the right corner. I feel like it would look nicer if it was in the middle, under the ASIAN HOBBYIST title. If you prefer to keep it in the corner to maintain space, maybe modify the text or background of it to make it more eye-catching, so users can notice it quicker and navigate your site more easily.

 

Mobile site looks good. It’s short, simple, and sweet.

 

Ah. There's an announcement section...didn't notice. A way to improve it is to have a bit of the text of the announcement on the page so that you can get people interested. Have an ellipsis or Read More button there as well.

Thanks for pointing this out. I will implement all the suggestions I can and prioritize simplicity.
Hopefully, I will be a able to delete some plugins when it's done.
