Welp i didnt read it personally ofc, but the other person mentioned that he was a virgin prior. OFC that doesn't justify doing the act under rage or w/e negative feelings he may have had at the time...im just thinking...even if they were kinda mutual about it...it probably woulda hurt alot anyway because if he's a virgin...and sorry idk if there was some form of uh guidance/sex education they may have taught him in that timeline yea it woulda kinda turned out the same...just less animosity due to negative emotions involved. Sometimes in the case of virgin males doing badly for their first time it might just result in a psychological block resulting in erectile dysfunction and lack of confidence ....ok im goin off subject lol
While sex ed sucked majorly in the past, there's one thing that would help women get through the ordeal, and that's the love (or at the very least care) of their partner. When the woman knows her partner loves her, she's willing to grit her teeth through the pain and blood. When the man loves his woman and sees her in pain, he'll try to be more gentle, slow down, change angles, accommodate her. When the act is done in anger, it's just a shitty experience. Which is why I'm saying he sucks at sex. Not because he's a virgin and has no technique, but because he shows absolutely no regard for his partner. He selfishly takes his pleasure, and doesn't look at his partner's reactions. If he wanted to show her he's The Man and that she's his or whatever possessive jealous bullshit is going through his mind, the least he could do is try to make it good for her to give her some incentive. Some loving foreplay would've helped too. Some aftercare and cuddling instead of running out of the room and leaving her like yesterday's trash would've also been nice.

Despite that tho i wanted to read it just for the MC sigh..surely ML is not worse than the ML of Stunning Abandoned Consort? That guy is wishy washy to the extreme [IMO], treated her pretty crappy despite her helping him, and personally killed her, and STILL won't let her be after she reincarnated/body swapped.
There's certainly different grades of assholery. The ML is quite better than the one in Abandoned Consort. It's just that both of them piss me off, so I can't get into the story. They don't make my heart throb, they make it burst in rage. I like decent guys too much. Take the ML in Eight Treasures Trousseau. He wasn't willingly married to the MC, he didn't feel good for getting a potential spy/enemy in his residence, or the fact that the marriage was meant as an insult to him. He's the manipulative type who can sell you off before you realize what's going on. And yet, he always treated her well, never put blame on her for the marriage, keeping in mind her powerful backup, which he could eventually use for himself. He made the best of his situation and he was decent to the girl. He grabbed my heart right from the start, when he showed a compassionate reaction toward her. Of course, we can't always get perfect characters, I know that. But I'd like it if the rapists and abusers remained antagonists instead of protagonists. I just don't enjoy reading about them getting together with the female lead. It's like, that's not even romance anymore. It's some therapy material.
I love you and the whole spiel you went on. I agree 100%. LOL I love how a lot of the community here can't stand the ML from Black Bellied Prince’s Stunning Abandoned Consort. He's now like the official lowest comparison for ML. (Edit: Actually the ML from Adonis Next Door is pretty bad too) And thanks, I know what to read next!
Although I dislike this ML and "Black Bellied Prince's Abandoned Consort"'s ML. My most hated ML is in the "Phoenix Overlooking the World - Who Dares to Touch My Abandoned Empress". First he tortured her, then he claimed that he loved her, yet he didn't believe her in many occasions which lead to her death. Throughout the novel, I kept wondering why the MC felt in love with him, was it stockholm syndrome, or was she simply a masocist? Currently the most decent ML that I've met is from Both are Foxes (although I haven't read it yet bc I'm stacking the chapter). From the spoiler that I've read, the ML treated MC nice, even though he was forced to marry her and the MC was rumoured to be ugly.
I see. As for treasure trousseau, i think he fell in lust with her at first so he didn't become a douche to her and it helps that she's so laid back and doesn't care to intervene with his business.
I haven't read it too, I'm waiting for at least 50 translated chapter. I heard there was one scene in the banquet where MC was mocked for her ugly appearance but ML stood by her side and defended her. That's why I'm quite looking forward to read this.
Her looks might have played a role, but the MC in Beloved Empress is also gorgeous. She doesn't meddle in his court business and only wants his love, so she's jealous of other women. Her family is powerful and can be a great asset to him if he figures out how to use it. And yet, because he was forced into the marriage, he constantly finds fault with her, doesn't try to make the most of it and resents her. That's where he's different from the ML in 8 treasures, and what makes him a tantrum throwing immature brat.
Mm well i usually like to judge once i read it, although at this rate no one would probably pick it up. Then again since someone is still doing abandoned stunning consort then this one might get picked up lmao.
Both are Foxes seems to have a great ML! Never read Phoenix Overlooking the World - Who Dares to Touch My Abandoned Empress... (But just from that title... he abandoned her; she has a right to be touched by someone else...) I'm slightly curious, but I don't want to waste my time. Besides you seem to have great taste, so I probably won't touch that novel unless out of sheer curiosity LOL
