I’m going to use similar ideas others have proposed.
* Tranquilizer guns. One hit. One down.
* I like slippery idea.
* The net idea is also a very good idea. Maybe Bolos weapon.
* Maybe microwave heat.
* Could try intense light. You could blind or worst.
* Lastly the sound weapons. If you use sound to knock people out is also feasible. Just like Dune.

That is too effective of a non-lethal weapon lmao

 

There's no need to re-invent the wheel. IRL already has weapons which do this: stun grenades, tranquilizer darts/guns, chemical agents which induce severe nausea, sedatives through injection or gas, etc.

Ofc, if you just want to have fun and be viciously merciful to your enemies, Isekai Smartphone's infinite slip and Destroyer of Ice and Fire's skunk bomb domain come to mind.

If you want something ridiculously OP yet still be non-lethal, just look to Nanoha and her fellow mages. Their weapons are all unique, but they all have those insanely powerful attacks and spells which suggest a common underlying principle which can be mass produced.

Everyone knows that if you use the back it is 10000000% non-lethal, that's the truth and law of anime/manga.
Even *cough* if you use way too much force, which would be enough to tear someone apart, blade-edge or not *cough, cough* it wouldn't kill no matter what if you used the backside. I mean internal bleeding or damage doesn't exist, right?

Isn't that the point of the whole story of rurouni kenshin? The best assassin trying to avoid all conflict and use his sword as defense rather than offense, the reason for the reverse blade in the first place? If he had a normal sword it would defeat the his purpose of penance.
