    i dunno about him, but do you happen to know of any with SLIGHTLY better graphics? not to be a graphics whore, but games that look like something made in rpg maker bore me.

    aside from your jrpgs you can try baulder's gate, neverwinter nights 1/2, jagged alliance, dragon fall, xcom, heroes of might and magic series or wasteland 2 and also you can try some vn games with good turn base like senguko rance, utawararemono and etc..

    Well I said those games cause SimCity said old laptop...

    Geneforge 4 to 5 and Underrail have bearable graphics though. Elminage Gothic is a PSP port with OK graphics too.

    If you have a pc which can take the load. Divinity Original Sin is a MUST PLAY. Isometric. Party Based.

    The Banner Saga has a unique narrative with decent graphics.

    Might and Magic X. First Person. Party Based.

    There is Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Hongkong too. But I am not a fan of those as their gameplay is too shallow. you could try them though.

    Mordhiem City of the Damned. Squad based tactical wargame. Very good.

    Expedition Conquistadors, Legend of Isenwald. Not strict RPGs more similar to Heroes of Might and Magic and Kings Bounty series. Pretty good though i Prefer Legens of Isenwald and Kings Bounty the Dark Side among these titles.

    Theres plenty of console ones which can be emulated already mentioned in this thread.

    I have a few more recomendations but can't recall them now.

    Age of Decadence, Dragon Age Origins, Expedition Conquistador, Fallen Enchantress:Legendary Heroes, Endless Legend, Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Valkyria Chronicles.

    They're on the list of my steam library and are within your criteria. I just don't know if you can run it, though. Others have already stated some at the top of my head, like suikoden, FFT, and others.

    Download drastic emulator that alreasy been crack, download every nds games and enjoy nds on your smartphone, speed are better than free apps on android

    I would say Wartune for turn base but its pretty cash heavy and requires internet, sad days

    I like to play VBA games. It's light, and you could fast foward the game when you are walking/grinding.
    Pokemon & ff series I guess. Monster rancher if you like collecting and raising monster.

    Perhaps one way heroics? It doesn't require any form of internet (except when downloading the game) I still play it nowadays, it's a rogue rpg game. It doesn't have much system requirement, plenty of content, hidden plots and characters, and its cheap or you can actually torrent it.

    Ascension to the Throne, there is a extention too. Is a little old, but one of the best turn based rpg I have played.

    I spent 15 min trying to remember the name, so you better try it.

    I like disgaea series too.

    The recent Disgaea 5 is the best IMO. So good.
