Discussion Bethesda...Oh how we Love/Hate/Spit on you

What makes a Bethesda game a Bethesda game...Is it the Physics?(Radom objects killing you because they were stuck in the floor?) The NPCs?(Dont worry, everyone has tried to kill the children, your normal) Or is it the side quests that pile up like mountains in your quest menu?

Lets talk about that.

So I rescently watched a playthrough of Prey, and I cocncluded I should add rip off to thier crimes. Im pretty sure this thing was heavily inspired by Alien Isolation...

What makes a Bethesda game a Bethesda game is that it is either developed or published by Bethesda, or both.

Simple as that.

 

Well....Half Developed by Bethesda...Give the Modding Community its due credit...

 

that they took 2 great games and with each installment they reduced what you could do with them .... so I figure the next Fallout or Elder Scrolls will just play themselves and we just watch ....

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've played every Bethesda games I have more than once, before trying any mods or DLCs, with the sole exception of Fallout 3 (installed Broken Steel after first playthrough). I do think that their games are good, even without mods.

I agree that the vibrant modding scene around their games is a big factor in their popularity, but this kind of modding community wouldn't exist if the base game itself is bad. I think people are hating Bethesda way too much.

idk why, but this sounded like Good Mythical Morning (Youtube channel), I would say for me it's about the numerous mods that can be added to the games that change the experience completely. I pretty much by them for the mods. I accidentally italicised there cause I was trying to hold shift but hit ctrl + I at the same time. Too lazy to fix.

 

well prey was made by arkane studios which made dishonored. while bethesda mostly works on fallout and skyrim. though they are both owned by parent company Zenimax they are still considered different games publishers and have different teams working for them

 

none of bethesda games disappointed me so far,
there's that...
