The first few chapters are pretty good but chapter 4 has a lot of info-dumping. You might want to balance that out with either character interaction, development or action before you add more information as otherwise it gets a bit overwhelming. You have described Yi's curiosity as something that gets him in trouble before so maybe use that to drive the next event or interaction?

Author's Note: Hello everyone _〆(。。) How are you all doing? It's summertime right now so I found some extra time to come back to write. As of today, May 29 of 2019, this chapter is edited. However, if errors are found- or sentence that didn't make sense, please let me know.

Book 1 Chapter 6: Chu Meng Yi’s Newly Acquired Common Senses is Flying Away (Part 1/2)
It had been more than a week since Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran had been staying inside the Inn, which he found out to called the [Fire Pagoda Inn].

After the accident with that Shui girl, the people from the Shui Clan had come by and drop 10,000 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi for Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi as an apology. Of course, Chu Meng Yi didn’t want to accepted it, except that if he didn’t, the Shui girl would have to kowtow in front of the inn for god knows how long, forever if possible, so he could only accept it. It wasn’t like they are lacking any money or that he gets greedy because of wealth that he had accepted the money from the Shui Clan. It was because it would be a pain in the ass otherwise.

Chu Meng Yi has always been the kind of person that doesn’t really care about wealth. Just because he plays with the stock-market and owns a couple of places (and things) doesn’t make him a billionaire. Multi-millionaire? Yes, but billionaire? No. And even then, he lives a lifestyle that’s very normal for people of his wealth. Majority of his earning was used to secure his family’s lives while some were donated to orphan houses around the world and more specific, to Africa where the majority of kids are still in hunger. So, he really couldn’t care less about the money that the Shui Clan gave him.

Today was the last day that their rental of the inn expired. So, both Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran are currently packing what they could into a large wooden chest. The rest that didn't fit inside were places inside his Inventory.

This town was a good town but Chu Meng Yi find it a little bit too crowded- much too crowded- so they asked around and found out about the conditions of the villages outside the Town.

To buy land and rent land is different in this world. Buying land would make you a landowner. Renting land would make you a tenant. And each has its own rights and responsibility toward this Town.

The town of Clear Sea belong to the Cloud Empire Kingdom, whose capital cities are divided into two metropolitan cities; Blossom City, where the Royal Clans are located at, and Crystal City, where the majority of all the important Clans and Household locates.

This town belongs to the 13th Prince, Yi Tianyu. The City Lord, Huo Shi Rong’s clan, the Huo Clan, was the vessel of the 13th Prince. So, the one that should have decided the price for land rental and selling are within the 13th Prince’s right. However, that wasn’t the case here.

As the 13th Prince belongs to the Purple Cloud Sect, which was far, far, away from here all the way to the West, nearer to the royal capital, Blossom City, this part of the Far East doesn’t have actually have an Owner. In fact, due to the fact that this far to the East is like the far corner of this continent, no one wanted to claim the right for it. So, the prices of land were decided by the sects nearby instead.

If you are buying and renting lands inside the town, then the City Lord will decide the price based on the location and its environment. However, if you are buying land near to the Town but outside the town, then based on the direction of the land, the price will vary since some are influenced by other Clans within the town or sect.

For example, if you buy land to the Northeast of Clear Sea Town, where the Clear Moon Sect located at, then it would be near one of the villages that fall under that sect’s rule. So, there are only three options available for you to buy or rent land.

There’s Moonlight Village, Light Sea Village, and Purple Moon Village that’s under the judicial rule of the Clear Moon Sect. Buying and renting lands near these three villages are all paid in Jingshi, and sometimes contributions from magic and spirits grains instead.

According to the map shown by the Land Management Office, if you rent or buy land within the town then it is paid in either Gold or Jingshi, or other spiritual energy currency. For pre-built lands, the price of land per square meter was close to at least 450 Gold coins or so for contract buying. As the land for rental, it will be a lot cheaper, at least around 20 Gold coins per year or so depending on the size of that land. Or depending on the landlord’s whim.

For new land that hasn’t been used before, within the limit of the town, it is 700 Gold coins per square meter. There’s no one renting out new land so there is no price for it. Even like this, Clear Sea Town has a lot of land unused.

Outside of the town, if you are buying lands within the range of 100,000 kilometers (km) from a certain sect, then the price was 100 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi or contributions of at least 10,000 Catty of spirit or magic grains, a one-time payment for the first ten years. Then afterward, it is a yearly contribution of 20% of their harvest as rental fees or protection fees. If renting it, then it is only around 2-5 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi per month or so. Within the range of 50,000 km, that price increase to 300 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi per year or 5,000 catty of spirit or magic grains while renting it is around 10-15 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi. As you got nearer to the sect, the price goes up higher.

This price was the price that people pay for protection from those certain sects since the surrounding forest are filled with beasts, demons, and spiritual beings of all kinds.

In this world of Crisisa, there live all kinds of primordial beasts of all grades and sizes. The definition of the beast in this world isn’t quite the same as in other worlds. For example, when you said Beast, on Earth, you would think of large mammals in the wild. However, the so call beast of this world is the kind that is straight out of Chinese and Asian Fantasy Supernatural Novels.

The beasts here in this world are all either Demonic beasts (Mo) or Heavenly Beast(Tian). And then, there are the demon beings(Shenliang) - which are different from beasts.

For an animal of any kind to be called a Demonic Beast, that beast must be able to cultivate like human cultivators but that doesn’t mean that they have Spiritual Wisdom. The demonic beast is further divided into creatures called Demon Beast(Yaomo) and Flora Demons(Caoshou), beasts that can cultivate and plants that had their own wisdom and are conscious enough to cultivate, and then live furthermore like how human cultivators are.

Not all Demon creatures are bad and not all Demon Flora is good and via versa. It depends on the consciousness of the animal and the flora itself.

As for spiritual beings(Shenliang), they are the world’s natural remnants. For example, a Tinker, a small fairy-like creature that is mostly humanoid looking. They can communicate with humans, animals, beasts, and plants alike because they are a kind of Wisdom Creature, called a Xianzi being, you can say...

However, their powers aren’t something that humans or other beings can convert nor were they born the same way as humans and beasts do, or flora, for that matter. A Wisdom Creature that belongs to the Xianzi category is a being of Lánghuán, a different mythical realm’s creature from a higher dimension than this plane. Not the Lánghuán where the Celestial Emperor stores his books but a mythical realm for all kinds of Spirit(Shen) and Magical(Jing) creatures, aka all the beings that belong to the Shenqi category.

Sometimes, a Tinker would form contact with humans of their chosen, granting them a little bit of their power to the human. The Tinker is a very small spiritual being so rarely does it show itself to humans. However, this doesn’t mean that they are weak or anything. Just because they are small, it doesn’t mean that they are weak.

Aside from that, the land outside of the Town was also buyable and rentable too. Unlike the lands near to certain sects, the land near the Town is less expensive but far more dangerous without the protection from the Sects. This problem, Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran had no trouble with it so they intend to buy a piece of land about 16,000 km away from the town at the cost of 200 Gold coins or 2 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi. It was very cheap since it doesn’t have protection from anyone.

Because they will have to secure their own security, the land was larger than what you could buy for that price inside the town. Inside the town, for the price of 200 gold, you can only rent a place for 10 months at the most well-off house, not enough to buy it. However, with only 200 gold coins, it was enough to buy 10 acres of land at a distance of 16,000 km away from the town.

The reason why this directional regional location was so cheap was due to how near it was to the Forest of the Demon Beast. Unless you are purposely seeking death, there is no one that will live that close to the Forest of the Demon Beast and the Caves of Demon, both were forbidden regions in the Far East of this continent.

The only people who would live anywhere near such places are people whose strengths are all above Foundation Establishment, or at least a stage 5-8 of Foundation Establishment. High enough that they can fly away if they needed to.

So, when Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran had brought land near the border of the Forest of the Demon Beast and the Caves of Demon, the people working in the Land Management Office were scared shitless. Still, after confirming their cultivation levels, the official can’t deny them the right to buy lands that far away.

What originally would cost Chu Meng Yi at least 200 Gold coins for 10 acres of land turned to be 25 acres of land instead. Chu Meng Yi had no complaints about that. The more land, the better.

With 25 acres of land, it was enough to build a village there, if not because no one wanted to live near such dangerous places.

So, now, they are getting ready to go to their new land plots.

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran did not plan on buying any building materials. However, he does want to hire someone to make a blueprint for a couple of courtyard houses for him. But Li Youran said not to do so since he could just do it for Chu Meng Yi. So, okay, why not?

When everything was ready and done with, the people from the land management office came to show them the way to the land. There were ten soldiers and two large carriages that had something that looks like a formation inscription engraved onto its sides. One of the soldiers was named Zheng Yun. He is the one with the spirit device that would measure out the marked land accurately to give out to Chu Meng Yi. Other then that, the rest are guards for Zheng Yun. All of them are at least a rank 2 Foundation Establishment Cultivators.

The majority of the cultivators in this part of the continent are Spirit Qi practitioners. Those that made it to the Foundation Establishment are all people who belong to either a large clan, a sect, or was a partner with someone rich. So, for the management office to be able to provide 10 cultivators that are all in the Foundation Establishment, it was both a show of power and pride.

All of the soldiers are armed to the teeth. Aside from Zheng Yun, every one of the soldiers had their swords, spear, or axes out. Their weapons are all spiritual weapons so Chu Meng Yi was very interested in them.

As they set out to the marked location on the map that Zheng Yun’s holding, Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran are both seated inside one of the wagons while Zheng Yun was in the other.

The location that Chu Meng Yi bought was far too close toward the border of the Forbidden Region so none of the soldiers were in the mood to talk.

As they left the gates, the carriages started to emit out a bright light and slowly lift themselves into the air.

Ah, this wagon is an Air-Wagon, a kind of transporting carriages that was made with the Airlock Wood Formation Array along with a Flying formation on it. The one that is controlling the two carriages is Zheng Yun, huh.

Inside the carriages, Chu Meng Yi was inspecting the layout of the formation on the wall with a curiosity glints in his eyes. Li Youran just takes a glance at the formation and went back to watch Chu Meng Yi.

On the ceiling of the carriage, there was a glowing sphere like a lamp. Chu Meng Yi recognizes this lamp as the “Spirit Fuel Device”. A device that was created to be used like how a stove is used inside a house, only this device was connected to the carriage. If you put a beast core, spirit gemstone, Jingshi, or any other Spiritual stones that had spiritual power inside the device, it will automatically convert the pure energy inside into fuel for the carriages. This device wasn't only useful in a high-grade carriage like this one, either.

The reason why the majority of the houses inside the town were so expensive was due to the fact that each house had at least one device installed inside. This made the temperature inside the house to be in constant room temperature even in winter. However, to fuel the device, resources such as beast core, spirit gemstone, jingshi, or other spiritual power are needed. It was a good thing that the spirit duel device doesn’t need a lot of core or such to run. Just one beast core of the lowest rank will last for 3 months. That’s only about a gold coin at most. The duration also depends on what kind of fuel was used too.

For 1 piece of Low-Grade jingshi, it would last 10 months. For Spirit Gemstone, it would last 10 weeks. For other spiritual power like the full Magic Crystal, it will last from 10 months to 12 months depend on how you take care of your device’s formation makeup.

This is just one of the many reasons why Jingshi is the primary currency that cultivators like to use. Because it could be used in a lot of ways. However, with only 1 piece of Low-Grade Jingshi, for cultivators, with just a couple of nights or so of meditation and training, it wouldn’t last long at all. Depending on some cultivators, it wouldn’t take a night. Just a couple of hours.

The fuel used inside this carriage is just a chunk out of a whole Magic Crystal. With the size of that small chunk, it should last 12 days, enough for the soldier to go and come back at the speed that they are traveling.

As Chu Meng Yi analyzed the formation and inscription engraved into the walls, ceiling, and the spirit fuel device, he could understand slowly what make an inscription an inscription and how it was different from a formation.

A Formation is like the printed circuits boards of the computer hardware while Inscription is like the network and routers traffic functions of the whole computer. The difference between the two isn’t much as they can both work together and separately. However, unlike the computer from Chu Meng Yi’s former world, the Formation and Inscription engraved into this carriage made him think of a computer that doesn’t have a processor, memory devices, and a keyboard.

Zheng Yun had to literally control the formation from within the network and that is just plain stupidity. Why didn’t the man just remotely control them like how wireless connections work? So, Chu Meng Yi proceeds to read and study the formation and inscription for a better understanding of himself.

After all, reading a thousand books isn’t the same as walking a thousand steps and experiencing it himself. He was sure that he would learn Formation and Inscription much faster by constantly experiencing it instead of just reading about it.

Chu Meng Yi’s eyes were shining like stars are swirling inside, causing Li Youran’s cold eyes to soften.

“It’s missing a divine seal and a lot of mana circuits.” Chu Meng Yi said as he tilts his head while continuing to study the inscription and formation on the walls.

“Of course, Yi’er. The cultivators now-a-day don’t even know what mana circuits are, much less the creation of Divine Seal and Enhancement. This world is only a ranked F world, after all, Yi’er,” Li Youran answered as he continues to watch Chu Meng Yi doing whatever he does.

Chu Meng Yi paused and he blinks a couple of times.

“Ne, Li Youran, I been wanting to ask you this but... I keep hesitating. Will anything happen if I use knowledge from Earth in this world?” Chu Meng Yi asked, completely serious as he stops trying to analyze the formation and inscription on the carriage.

    Li Youran blink.

“There is nothing wrong with using knowledge from Earth here but things like computer technology can be spread to other people. This world’s Law cannot support both Science Technology and Magic at the same time,” Li Youran answer after a couple of seconds of silently critically thinking.

“Ah, does that mean that as long as I don’t outright make a computer, it’s alright if I use the concepts and theories?” Chu Meng Yi was very curious. As an author, Chu Meng Yi had never limited himself to learning only one thing at a time.

Back when he was still on Earth, when he was just an elementary schooler, Chu Meng Yi’s oldest brother from his uncle's side had taught him how to make bare PCBs, Printed Circuit Boards. He was taught how to schematic capture using an EDA tool, how to determine the dimensions and template, the position of the components and the heat sinks, the layers of the complexity, the ground and power planes, the line impedance, the kind of stripline that it needs, the placement of the component for the thermal and geometry position, all the way to making multiwire boards and the construction of the electronic component itself.

Chu Meng Yi’s oldest brother, Ye Yuanyu, from his father’s side, was very disappointed that Chu Meng Yi had chosen to be an Author instead of a Computer Hardware Engineer. But he wasn’t disappointed much since Chu Meng Yi sometimes help him with other works too as a part-time job.

For some reason, Li Youran feels a spike of jealousy inside his heart at the expression on Chu Meng Yi’s face. Yi’er was thinking of someone else?

“That’s fine, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the belief and Law of this world, using the concepts and theories are fine.” Li Youran knew exactly what Yi’er was thinking about. According to the information Li Youran got from the world that Yi’er calls Earth, the main concepts of computer hardware engineering courses are the fundamentals, the circuitry and Ohm’s law, the sequential and combinational logic, control systems, and computer programming. These are the main concepts. However, Li Youran had a feeling that the knowledge that Yi’er knew was more than that. He has to wonder what kind of person was it that taught Yi’er about computer hardware?

Chu Meng Yi’s eyes brightened up, causing Li Youran to freeze as he saw the pure delight within his eyes. It wasn’t toward a person but rather the idea itself that he could use the concepts from Earth without consequences as long as it didn’t go against the belief of this world’s Law.

How long has it been since he had last has seen that expression inside his eyes? Li Youran didn’t dare to ask himself because he knew the answer already.

Nodding his head in satisfaction, Chu Meng Yi went back to observing the walls and ceiling of the carriage.

A couple of hours later, the carriage stopped and the voice of Zheng Yun called out.

“Young Master Chu and Young Master Li, we are here.” He called out, not loud but not so soft either.

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran come out but didn’t descend into the ground as the carriage was still in midair. The land in front of them was filled with tall and large trees, barely 10% of the land was grassland. The rest was filled with large and strong trees. Comparing the trees in front of them to the ones that Chu Meng Yi has known off, he could only say that these trees are five times taller and larger than the size of the trees found in California, the sequoia trees, which had reached the height of more than 52,500 or so cubic feet.

If comparing the thickness then, those trees in front of them right now are easily ten times the thickness of the redwood trees located in the same location in the sequoia trees forest. And comparing the height of the trees, Chu Meng Yi could only say that they are at least 20 to 25 times taller than the sequoia trees.

It was Huge. Not as huge as the mythical tree - Chu Meng Yi believe - the Sacred Tree of Life in the Norse Mythology, Yggdrasil - The World Tree - but huge nonetheless. Not that Chu Meng Yi had ever seen the Sacred Tree before. He was just comparing it to his general knowledge from his previous life.

On the ground, a large rectangular glows marked the land into 25 acres, accurately. Once Chu Meng Yi saw how truly wide the area of the 25 acres is, he really doesn’t know why he wanted to buy that many lands anymore. 25 acres of land isn’t a joke. It is not a small piece of land.

He sketches his head as he looks at the forest of trees in front of him.

“Hmm, the trees can all be used to make the house itself but I wonder if there’s any large stone bounder nearby....” Chu Meng Yi asked himself quietly enough that only Li Youran can hear him.

“Yi’er, there’s a large stone cave near here. Want me to go get you some?” Li Youran asked, completely teasing him in his own way. Chu Meng Yi internal sweat. For some reason, that so call cave had caused his instincts to shiver slightly.

Chu Meng Yi isn’t stupid. Of course, the so-called cave was that forbidden cave. The Caves of Demon!

He knew that Li Youran is strong enough to destroy this world with nothing but a sneeze, so he didn’t doubt him. However, for some reason, Chu Meng Yi feels that he shouldn’t allow the older man into those caves. It was like, something is preventing him from agreeing to Li Youran’s teasing.

After all, knowing this man, he would probably massacre every living and nonliving beast or not inside the caves. And that is not good. This world has its own ecosystem and Chu Meng Yi didn’t want to destroy that.

Why is it not good? Chu Meng Yi wasn’t sure. He hasn’t been inside the cave before so when he somewhat hesitated because his instinct was shivering, not in fear, thank you, Chu Meng Yi knew that he cannot let Li Youran go inside the cave.

Unless, of course, it was really for the stones and not anything else.

Chu Meng Yi looks at Li Youran with his impressive face, not changing at all. Yet, the looks in his eyes cause Li Youran to slightly shivers.

    Stare...[Cheee~]

“Ahem, excuse me, Young Master Chu and Young Master Li?” Zheng Yun said with a blush on his face. This man looks like a gentleman but there’s this feeling of crafty and deceitful from him. So, Chu Meng Yi didn’t buy it that this man is a gentleman at all.

Both Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi stare at Zheng Yun with indifferent faces.

Zheng Yun’s face twitches a couple of times. These two Young Masters aren’t arrogant and domineering like all the youngsters that he knew but for some reason, they both are so cold and difficult to talk to. And Zheng Yun swore that every time he tries to talk to them, Young Master Li would glare at him like he wanted to struggle him to death.

    Zheng Yun twitches nervously.

“I-is this land plot here okay with you two?” Zheng Yun asked, completely unable to keep his calm. The majority of his nervousness was from this place itself but a lot of it was from Li Youran’s glare.

Li Youran looks at Chu Meng Yi for his answer.

    He nodded.

Zheng Yun looks relieved. Any further from here and it would be far too dangerous for them to go. They were already pretty deep inside the forbidden forest. Zheng Yun was pretty sure that they were already near the core of this forbidden forest. Anything can happen in a blink of an eye in this location.

After processing the final procedure for the land, they left Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi there without even looking back.

Seeing that they left without saying anything, Chu Meng Yi sighs out loud in relief before turning to Li Youran, only to see the man looking at him with a deep and intense look in his eyes.

Chu Meng Yi froze on the spot. That surprise him for a second. He had thought that Li Youran was going to kiss him right there in the spot for a second.

An amused glint enters Li Youran’s eyes as his cold face softens a bit. He really does want to kiss Yi’er, but knowing him, he would probably wouldn’t even care if Li Youran takes advantage of him. However, Li Youran doesn’t want to do that. It would cause Yi’er to not trust him, so he won’t. He knew that with Chu Meng Yi’s personality, if he gets too domineer and too unreasonable, then he would avoid him. Again.

Li Youran might be the very evil of his own standard nature but there is one person in particular that he will never harm even if it cost him his life and soul. And that person is the person standing in front of him. Li Youran isn’t Yi’er. Yi’er was the kind of person that would never need people to need him. To wanted him to want them. He doesn’t need or want to be around others if he deems it so. He doesn’t care if someone hates him or desires him. Yi’er, even way back then when they weren’t dating and in love, was never someone who cares about what reputation is or was. Li Youran, his personality, and nature were the opposite of Yi’er. He had wanted attention from others, wanted to feel that people like him, love him, desire him, look up to him, etc.

He was very greedy. He cannot stand loneliness. Well, at least, that was until he truly knows what is loneliness when he met Yi’er and fell for him. Since then, he had changed. He doesn’t care if someone like him anymore, he doesn’t want someone servanting him with all sort of royalty and heart. He doesn’t want anything anymore. He only wants Yi’er and his love for him. It was more than enough for Li Youran if Yi’er loves him, unconditionally. And he, returned as much, if not more, love back to Yi’er, unconditionally. This was why, even now, Yi’er is still the only person that he would ever love and wanted to be loved in return.

Just by standing side by side with Chu Meng Yi, Li Youran’s naturally cold aura turn slightly warmer and less scary.

Chu Meng Yi blinks his eyes as he comes back to reality. Damn, this man is far charismatic and charming. He worries that his heart will not be melt and not fall in love with this man. After all the things that Li Youran had done for Chu Meng Yi, he knew that this man was really in love with him. So, he worries that Li Youran’s efforts might be fruitless. He knew with his own experiences that his heart is unshakable. His best friend had tried to make him fall in love with him ever since they were in middle school. But, it didn’t shake his will and heart at all.

So, Chu Meng Yi worries that he will never fall in love with anyone. Including this man standing in front of him.

Loving someone as a friend and loving someone as the One you Love, is different. He knew that well enough to not lie to Ming Yuan, to the man’s disappointment.

Speaking of a best friend, Ming Yuan will probably cry when he knows that I died, right? Yeah, that man will probably break in a way that cannot be fixed once news of my death reaches him.

“Yi’er, who was Ming Yuan?” Li Youran’s cold and hard voice asked, completely jealous when he read the Yi’er’s mind.

“...” This man. This was not the first time that Li Youran had read his mind. Still, it seems like there will never be a time when he truly has his own privacy. Not that he really cares, but... Really.

    Sigh.

Book 1 Chapter 6: Chu Meng Yi’s Newly Acquired Common Senses is Flying Away(2/2)

Li Youran gloomily watched as Chu Meng Yi sighed internally. He was already way past by the point of boldly declaring his love for Yi’er. Way past the point of plain jealousy and possessiveness for Yi’er. There was no way that his feeling for Yi’er was simple love and infatuation anymore.

He didn’t love Yi’er with only his soul but rather with his whole very being, soul, and his very spirit. It was already long past the point of return for him. Li Youran was very serious when he had said that he would totally destroy anyone who might have held Yi’er before if he ever meet them. His envy toward that person will kill them even without his own consciousness.

Chu Meng Yi looked at Li Youran and knew that he shouldn’t lie to the man. He can't lie to this man. He doesn't want to lie to this man, anyway.

“Ming Yuan was my best friend back in my former world. He and I had known each other since elementary school. He fell in love with me in middle school and asked me out but I didn’t agree. After all, I knew that I won’t be able to fall in love with him so I rejected him. Since then, he tried to move on but it was hard for him since we pretty much see each other every day. Of course, he tried to date other people and I gave him my blessing but... Well, Ming Yuan’s the kind of person that once he loves someone, he won’t be able to love anyone else.” Chu Meng Yi answered with a nonchalant look in his eyes. Now that he mentions it, Ming Yuan's a little similar to Li Youran. Not in looks or personality but rather, their traits of loving only one person. Maybe that's why Chu Meng Yi got along with that guy?

He does worry for Ming Yuan but it was just a friendship worry. Like how he worries about his younger brothers and his cousin who he had left behind. Especially his youngest brother - that little psychopath with the brain of a mad genius and the face of a cold charming devil.

Li Youran calms down a bit at those answers. Looking at Chu Meng Yi, Li Youran resisted the urge to hold the man tightly into his chest and arms.

He’s still the same even now. Li Youran knew exactly what Yi’er had meant when he said that Ming Yuan failed to make Yi’er love him more than just a friend. After all, he himself witnesses all those happening while and during his relationship with Yi’er way back then. He himself had courted Yi'er for more than a thousand years for Yi'er to even react toward his feeling.

Li Youran had told Yi’er that he had been waiting for him for billions of years but that’s a lied. It was not billions of years. Rather, it was billions of eons.

He waits and waited. He searches and searched. Ever since that particular event back then, he didn’t stop searching for Yi’er. For Chu Meng Yi.

The more worlds he searches, the more worlds get connected to the Hall of Infinity. The longer he searches, the more staple those doors connection and the Hall of Infinity Doors get. How many billions of worlds have already been added to the Hall of Infinity Doors after Yi'er left? Even Li Youran lost count of it a long time ago.

And now, to think that Yi’er had come to him himself, Li Youran was so damn happy that the word happy pale to define his happiness. Because he knew. He knew what this means. It means that Yi’er had forgiven him for causing that many people to die for nothing. It means that Yi’er had forgiven himself for not being able to stop Li Youran when he has the chance.

After all, Li Youran didn’t just destroy a couple of worlds back then. No, he destroyed a whole stellar- system. A system that was inhabited by nearly 30% of lives. All sorts of lives. He destroyed them in his jealousy and rage.

That Stellar System was like a baby for Chu Meng Yi - since it was the first Stellar System that Chu Meng Yi had created right after creating The Hall of Infinity Doors. That Stellar System doesn't have only human lives, it has a lot of the higher realm's native people's souls too.

If there were only low-dimensional rank worlds' souls and resources, then Yi'er wouldn't have gotten mad at Li Youran. But the thing was, that Stellar System was a rank SSSSS Stellar System with a large amount of Mid-level, High-level, Peak-level, and higher-level resources that Yi'er uses his times and soul to make. And that Stellar System had a purpose to fulfill.

And yet, Li Youran destroyed it due to jealousy and rage.

That’s why, since then, he had tempered and refined himself using all sorts of Will Scripture to tempered his will and emotions. So that he will never make that mistake again.

He succeeded. Somewhat. Because no matter how long it is, he will always be jealous of anyone that as much as looks at Yi’er in the wrong way. Not the “I want to kill you” Way, but the “He looks pretty cute and adorable” kind of way. That Way.

He really couldn’t care less if someone admires Yi’er because Yi’er won’t even notice it. But, people that are close enough to him to actually tell Yi’er that they love him? When he himself was galaxy and universe or dimension(al)s away? Fuck that.

He being jealous was a given.

“Hmm.” Li Youran answered, in a brighter mood. Chu Meng Yi looks at the brighter Li Youran and sweat drops. This might be too late but, isn’t this man being influenced by me far too much?

    That will be very dangerous...

“Yi’er, have Little Bee show you the Preset building blueprint and choose what you like. This land is able to hold up to five courtyards or five buildings at a time.” Li Youran said, back to the topic of building for Chu Meng Yi.

Chu Meng Yi blinks and nods. “Little Bee, can the House Management section be open?” Chu Meng Yi asked.

"Zhǔrén(Master), the House Management section is now open to you,” Replied back Little Bee, Xiao Mìfēng.

Chu Meng Yi nodded as he opened the House Management sector. Like a true game, a screen that shows all kinds of housing and constructing tabs pop up in front of Chu Meng Yi’s eyes. Just because he plays games before doesn’t mean that he has gotten used to it. So, he jerked in surprise.

Li Youran’s eyes glittered in amusement.

In front of his eyes was a tab that labeled Governs, Architecture, Blueprint, Materials, and Building.

Chu Meng Yi was very curious so he tapped the Architecture tab and bring out the screen for it. Icons of all kinds of houses designs, from all kinds of cultural and even some that he doesn’t recognize met his eyes.

[Straw House of the Idnima: House made out of Thundergrass Straws, Moon Grass Twines, and Wood. Strength: 150/150. Foundation Balance: 120/120]

[Straw House of the Shirmodna: House made with Parcelain Grass Straw and Igni Wood. Strength: 175/175. Foundation Balance: 160/170]

[Straw House of Luck: House made with straws from the Lucky Grass and Spirit Twines along with Wood from the Forest of Fortune. Strength: 200/200. Foundation Balance: 500/600]

From Straw houses, there’s a wood house, stone house, iron-reinforce house, jade stone houses, all the way to even magic shards houses and houses made out of heavenly materials. From small like a cottage to large like mansion and castle, there was all kind of houses in the Architecture tab. The styles differ from ancient Rome to Futuristic alien-like.

And then the Governs tab. To be completely honest. The Governs tab is exactly as it sounds like. Things like finances and resources restocking are in this tab. If there were more than two people in his family, Chu Meng Yi would probably see more options under the Governs tab but since there are only Li Youran and himself, there are only two icons that represent them.

Li Youran’s icon was dark Gold while his icon was Light Green. Under Li Youran’s icon were the words “Husband and Head of the House” while his' was “Wife and Mistress of the House”.

What mistress?!! I am not a woman!!! Sighing out loud, Chu Meng Yi closed his eyes and pinched his forehead. Chu Meng Yi turned to see a very content Li Youran, who’s currently pretending to not see that Chu Meng Yi was having a headache.

Sigh. Oh well, at least it makes Li Youran happy.

Under the Blueprint tab were all the blueprints for all of the houses in the Architecture tab. Each blueprint is different from one another. Some have only one floor and a basement, while others have up to 20 floors with 10 layers of basements like some kind of dark secret lab. This surprises him somewhat because normally, houses from ancient China don’t have such a thing as a basement. Rather, ancient China used to have dungeons for captivity and secret storage or Ice storage? Well, at least until he recalled that this world isn’t Earth anymore and that Li Youran wasn’t born from Earth’s Ancient Chinese but rather from who knows where else.

On each of the Blueprints, there will be numbers that show how stable that building is, how large and its capacity, how many people it could support, and the weight limit of each floor.

And then on the Materials tab, it listed out the requirement to build such and such houses along with what kind of seal or formation or talisman it will need. Things like what kind of wood, stones, and the likes are listed in the Materials tab.

And then the last tab, the Building tabs. It shows how many rooms a building can have. It is like the Blueprint but more detailed and customizable. For example, a stone house of three buildings can be customized into an apartment complex instead of a house or mansion. You can change how many rooms each floor has in this tab, all the way to how the interior of the house should look like.

Searching through the blueprints and the architecture, Chu Meng Yi found a couple of stone buildings that he likes. It is a Western-style house, an English Cottage house, but a little bit more alien-influences. For better lack of word. And a lot larger and wider. It isn’t a mansion but it was pretty close. It was just that the mansion looked like a cottage, and not really a mansion.

Finding a location in the middle of the 25 acres of land, Li Youran takes the architecture design from Chu Meng Yi, after he modified how wide he likes the internal to be like, and started to do something that looks like it was straight out of anime. What? You have seen how the houses in Naruto come forth? It is exactly like that, only far faster and Li Youran doesn’t have to touch the earth for it to come forth. Nor does he have to clap his hands for it to be affected.

Stones start to come out from the earth like some sort of generator and refine themselves automatically. Not even ten seconds later, a large fully built complex was in front of him. Chu Meng Yi wasn't surprised because he had built a couple of houses inside his Spatial Space too. Although, his speed was a lot slower. Like, very much slower compared to Li Youran's speed.

It’s just that when he made small houses inside his space, he uses the earth to make it and not stones. Although it was only for practice, his houses were all very adorable and dwarves-like. Not big likes these houses.

After that, Li Youran made a huge hot spring right next to the houses. Of course, there was only one bath so it makes it a little awkward for Chu Meng Yi.

“Yi’er, is the interior okay?” Li Youran asked as he finished building the house and the bath-spring.

Chu Meng Yi blinks as he looks at the huge freaking damn mansion in front of him.

“Li Youran, didn’t I say that it doesn’t need to be a mansion? Why is it a mansion?” Chu Meng Yi asked, completely sweating in exasperation. The house still looks like a somewhat cottage but the sizes... well, a mansion is underestimating it.

“The bigger the better,” He answered.

    Sigh. What do I expect?

    Well, whatever.
    __

[First Person View: Chu Meng Yi]

From the outside, this house looks very cozy and intimate with a hint of elegance. It has been built with red and white bricks and has yellow pine-like wooden decorations - but was truly stones. Small, octagon windows made out of green jade-like stones add to the overall look of the mansion and have been added to the mansion in a mostly asymmetric way.

The mansion looks brand new, shaped into a T. The extension sides extend into overgrown stone overhanging panels that look strangely like jade, reaching until the end of the other sides of the house.

The stones were directly coming out from the earth so the foundation was very strong. Just by looking at it, I can tell that this mansion will last a whole lifetime.

It stood proudly in the middle of the forest with large trees behind it. From the outside, it looks very strangely luxurious and elegant that sees very homey but the designated designs and craving of all kinds of animals and flora over the framework cause it to look very high-class. The doorframe was also made out of stone so it was very strong. With designs carving with pictures of large animals and very elegant flowers, this house was a house-made for royalty. No, it was far more luxurious than houses made for royalty.

The inside of this stone mansion was very wide. With an occasional length between each window, there was enough sunlight to let me see how wide the inside is.

Still, this is far too huge. How am I going to clean everything up?

After measuring the spaces inside, I can now make plans for the interior. There is no roof yet because I don’t know if I wanted to add more floors. So, for now, let’s make the inside.

The inside of the mansion was divided into two floors. The first floor has the kitchen, the living room, the guest rooms, the storage for the kitchen, and three other rooms. The second floor was where my bedroom is, right across from Li Youran’s bedroom. Other than that, there are two bathrooms on the second floor, one small washroom, a library, a storage room, a secret room, and one hidden room.

The other two extended sides were for guest rooms and storage.

After that, Li Youran shows me how to go down to the basement. This mansion has three layers of basements and one hidden foundation base for the whole building. The topmost layer was for the storage of things such as food, wood, and resources. The second layer was for crafting stations. And then the deepest layer, which was about 500 meters away from the second layer, was for me to practice my skills and spells. Basically, it is a training facility. This was why there’s an additional base foundation for the whole building. Because of the training facility.

The first layer was made out of regular stones. The second layer was made with some kind of stones that look blue and purple. Li Youran had said that the stone is called “Blue Lightning Rocks”. A rank 2 magic stone that is mainly being used for making Jade Talismans and Jade Formation Desks and devices.

According to the general market, Blue Lightning Rocks are being sold around 10-20 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi per square inch, depending on the grade of the Blue Lightning Rocks. And Li Youran made the whole second layer basement with Blue Lightning Rocks.

The whole second floor of the basement was around 16,000 sq. ft. and was divided into five rooms for five different kinds of crafting stations/rooms. The Cooking Station, the Alchemy Station, the Weaponsmith Station, The Tailoring and Clothing Station, The Talisman and Formation Creating Station, and last but not least, the Research Station. For now, those rooms are enough.

Out of the five stationary rooms, the research room is the largest since it consists of rooms for my writing and books along with a couple of books from the spatial spaces. After the research room, the cooking station room was the second-largest since I plan on doing a lot of research on cooking. Foods that have spiritual and magic effects need to be researched before I would start making them. Since all the recipes books from the library were all for spiritual and magical cooking, so I need to learn the foundation and understand the cooking process before I can even think of making them. I do plan on following these recipes, but I am also researching them for my own understanding.

As for the third-largest room, it would be the weaponsmith station room. This room isn’t for me. It is for Li Youran. He said he doesn’t need it but I make it anyway. After all, he will need a weaponsmithing forge, ore mill, an Armament Furnace, and an Artifacts Workstation. So, this was the third-largest room in the second basement.

As for the fourth-largest, it would have to be the Talisman and Formation Creating room. It doesn’t need a large workstation, just a small one. But it does need space to form the talisman and the formation. The only thing that it needed asides from space was a Spiritual Furnace.

Since it was a pain in the behind to remember all kinds of furnaces, Li Youran decided to just make an All-Purpose Furnace and be done with it. I don’t know whether I should laugh or sweatdrop at Li Youran’s purpose for making this furnace. But, nonetheless, it was really for me so I am thankful for it.

After all, according to the books that I bought from the town, furnaces, like alchemy furnaces and spiritual furnaces or armament furnaces are very costly. Just the lowest rank one was already around 250-300 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi. It was very hard to successfully create a furnace, after all. It is said that the chances of successfully making a furnace were 1 in 200. Not to mention the cost of the materials to make the furnace was around 200 pieces of Low-Grade Jingshi. So, imagine my surprise when Li Youran created a whole bunch of Mid-Rank furnaces with nothing but earth and stone. Ordinary-looking earth soils and regular-looking stones.

My common sense is flying out of the window every time this man does something. I know that I had just got to this world but after reading all the information that I can inside the Library and the books from the towns, I at least have a little common sense of this world.

And this man is kicking all and any common sense I had gained from this world into the wild.
    _____
[End of Chu Meng Yi’s View]
    _____

Afterward, Li Youran watches as Chu Meng Yi practices the Splitting Heaven as if Splitting Air, an Air Elemental Spells, on the trees surrounding the mansion.

At first, Yi’er seems hesitant to cut the trees down because he could feel the consciousness of the trees. But after a couple of breaths, Yi’er places his hand on the tree and pushed his mana into the tree, causing the tree to shake and drop a lot of its seeds. Yi’er then collected those seeds and put them away in his Inventory. His eyes hardened with determination and he brings out the spell without hesitation.

The spell Splitting Heaven as if Splitting Air is one of the basic Dao Origin foundations spells from Li Youran’s Original World, which was a Rank SSSSS world. The highest rank any world could have. Any higher and it would be Law and Force Dimension, a realm without physical form. Only spiritual and magical beings can stay there.

The realm that the Jade Emperor Yi’er had mentioned was not from this ranked world. A Jade Emperor can only govern over the lower realm world, ranked SSS and below only. Above that, it would require the knowledge of Dao Origin, something that a Jade Emperor can never understand due to his own choosing as an Emperor that governed over its realms.

The reason why Li Youran got a little offended when Chu Meng Yi had compared him to the Jade Emperor was also because of this.

The realms that the Jade Emperor Govern over are the 8 Immortal Worlds, 888 Heaven Boundary Worlds, 8,888 Mortals World, and 1 Dao World. That’s it. Even then, the Jade Emperor is a being that’s the top of those worlds and dimensions.

    But, Li Youran is different.

He is the Master of The Hall of Infinity. He governed over more than a billion different kinds of worlds and realms, in all kinds of different dimensions, with various different kinds of Dao Law, different kinds of Force of Creation, different Origin’s Chaos, and various of different Elemental Law.

Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi, the original one, were from that world.

Truly, The Hall of Infinity wasn’t his. It belongs to Chu Meng Yi. The Creator of The Hall of Infinity was Chu Meng Yi. Not him.

When it was first created, there were only three doors. The door to their Original World, the other two are doors that lead to a ranked SSSS world and one that leads to the Palace of Heaven, where the four previous Jade Emperor governed. This, truly, was multiple eons ago. So long ago that those three doors have turned into who-known how many doors. Even Li Youran himself doesn’t know how many doors there truly are anymore.

So, he sees no problem with giving something like a Dao Origin Foundation rank spells to Chu Meng Yi. Why? Because that spell was created by Chu Meng Yi himself. Way back in their original world.

This was why Yi’er was hesitating to use it on the trees. Why? Because the spell itself was very powerful, deeply profound, and densely efficient.

The proof is in front of them. All the trees within the range of the spell were completely cut off from its base. With one simple movement from Chu Meng Yi, the spell had cut off all the trees that were within the range of a mile, it was completely cut off. Yet, the cut was so clean that the trees are still standing on the trunk without falling off. Some of the trees didn’t even notice that they are cut off their base. The vitality within those trees is still connecting without even realizing that they are cut off.

That’s how strong this spell was.

Li Youran look at Chu Meng Yi and he had to say, this spell really was made for Yi’er by Yi’er. This spell was created by Yi’er so naturally, it suits Yi’er spiritual, magical, and physical energy so much that he could bring out 150%-200% of its potential even if it was only the beginning stage of the spell.

Pretty strong for someone who had just only started cultivating. His eyes flash in contentment. At this rate, it wouldn’t be long before Yi’er gets strong enough to ‘roll in the sheet’ with him. The other reason why he hasn’t touched Yi’er in that way was this. Asides from the fact that Yi’er might not want him, the fact that Yi’er was still so weak, physically and otherwise, stop him from seeking to make love-making with Yi’er.

Chu Meng Yi tries not to twitch in surprise as he felt the connecting of his spell hitting all the trees. He already knew how powerful this spell was when he first came in contact with it.

Chu Meng Yi looked over to Li Youran, only to see the man’s cold face still the same. The only things that are different were the looks in his eyes. There was something akin to fondness, love, adoration, possessiveness, and something that make Chu Meng Yi’s heart skip a beat in nervousness.

    What is it?

“Li Youran?” Chu Meng Yi asked, a little nervous at the look in the man’s eyes. He feels like his charity is in danger there for a second.

For a second there, Chu Meng Yi thought that he had seen himself kissing Li Youran with a gentle look in his eyes; filled with tenderness and love.

That surprises him. Was that his previous life memory? It cost his heart to skip a beat.

Still, Chu Meng Yi doesn’t fear this man even if he knew that sooner or later, they would probably ‘roll in the sheet’ together. Maybe it was because Chu Meng Yi knew that this man is his as his that man. Even though Chu Meng Yi knew that his feeling for this man won’t be getting to the Love target any time soon, he does know that it will someday.

It was just not going to be today. Or this year. Or possible for the next tens of years.

    “Hmm?”

“... Nothing,” Chu Meng Yi was going to ask Li Youran to help him transport the wood but he remembers that he has the Inventory and Little Bee.

Chu Meng Yi turned away as he went to collect the wood into his Inventory, not seeing that Li Youran’s eyes had turned intense purple with desire and lust. Li Youran had to stop himself by biting his lips to the point that it bleeds.

Just as Chu Meng Yi finished putting a couple of the trees, the whole trees from the base that he cut, into the Inventory, his sensitive nose smell the smell of something very sweet and fruity.

“Hmm? The smell of peach and pomegranate?” Chu Meng Yi sniffed the air. Weird, he knew that this world’s fruits are different from earth. There are no such things as apples, pearls, grapes, peaches, or the likes in this world. So, where in the world is this smell coming from?

He sniffed the air and it seems like the smell was coming from behind him.

As he turned to see which direction it was coming from, Chu Meng Yi froze in the spot.

Li Youran had his eyes closed and his whole body was tense. His flawless face was so beautifully pale in the sunlight that it made it impossible for Chu Meng Yi to look away. There are these senses of loneliness coming from the man, and yet also a feeling of intense intimacy.

For some reason, he thought that Li Youran was crying. Men like Li Youran are the kind that will never cry even if the world collapse right in front of them. So, when that thought enters his mind, it surprises him.

For this reason, Chu Meng Yi had never cared about things like crying men and awkwardness. Yet, for the first time in his life that he remembers, he feels very... forlorn at the thoughts of Li Youran crying.

Chu Meng Yi does not like it. Just the thought of Li Youran and tears together cause something in him to shiver in depression and his heart feels very downcast, melancholy, and downhearted. And he does not like this at all.

Before Chu Meng Yi knew it, he was standing in front of Li Youran, hand reaching to touch his flawless face. As his hand touches the skin of Li Youran’s face, the man shivered and gasped out loud. His eyes were still closed and yet, once Chu Meng Yi’s finger touches his face, his hand grabbed over his in a soft and gentle way, as he places his whole hand on his cheeks.

Chu Meng Yi was surprised to find that Li Youran’s hand was shaking and his breathing was slightly harsh.

“Li Youran?” He asked, worriedly. What is wrong with this man? He’s far too strong for regular illness to cause him pain, much less affect him.

“Yi’er...” Li Youran’s normally cold and hard voice turned slightly hoarse and breathless. His breath was hot and the warmth from his hand was getting warmer. The man’s face doesn’t change at all though.

“What’s wrong with you?” Chu Meng Yi’s expression was also indifferences but his voice was filled with worry and yet curiosity. He can also see that Li Youran’s lips were bleeding too. And it seems like the sweet fruity smell was coming from his lips.

    Look delicious.

“You’re bleeding,” He added as his other hand touches Li Youran’s lips, wiping away the blood.

Yi’er, that’s a bad choice! Li Youran screams inside his mind as his whole body shivers once Chu Meng Yi touches his lips. He could have stopped Chu Meng Yi from touching his lips but he doesn’t want to.

Li Youran’s eyes opened, revealing deep purple pupils with white iris eyes. Chu Meng Yi’s eyes widen in surprise.

“I want to have you,” Li Youran said hoarsely, full of desire. “But I won’t touch you. Yi’er is still far too weak. If I touch you, you’ll die,” Li Youran said as he licks his lips over the spot that Chu Meng Yi had touched.

The determination, the strength, the will, the desire, the fondness, the love, the hopelessness, and the yearning inside Li Youran’s eyes weren’t hidden away from Chu Meng Yi.

Chu Meng Yi blinks in surprise at the declaration from Li Youran.

This man is bold in his love for Chu Meng Yi. He doesn’t hide anything from him.

For some reason, Chu Meng Yi feels that this feeling was very good. Because Li Youran respects him and his wishes.

Chu Meng Yi normally indifferent face smile a bit. His eyes got gentler, tender, serene, understanding, and yet fond looks.

The looks of fondness within Chu Meng Yi caught Li Youran off guard, taking him completely by surprise.

Li Youran was stunned into silence at the look of understanding inside Yi’er’s eyes.

In Li Youran’s eyes, Chu Meng Yi looked and feel so breathtakingly beautiful. Yi’er wasn’t beautiful like a woman beautiful but his charisma and inner beauty were like a graceful and exquisite piece of jade that’s priceless. Like a snow flower on the peak of a snow mountain, cold yet strangely warm when the sunrise in the morning or set in the evening.

Once again, this man makes Li Youran fall for him all over, again.

“I Love You, Yi’er,” Li Youran said as he pulls the startled and confounded Chu Meng Yi into his arms.

Li Youran really wanted to say that he idolized, worshiped, adore, smitten with, besotted to, crazy, yearn for, and all sorts of feelings for Chu Meng Yi but he stopped himself. He doesn’t need to say it out loud because Yi’er has already known that.

Chu Meng Yi was surprised for a couple of seconds but he soon relaxes. Of course, he knew. He knew it like he had experienced it before. The deep affection from Li Youran toward Chu Meng Yi was never lost to him. He knew and understand this man’s feelings clearly. If not because Chu Meng Yi doesn’t like it when people dote on him, Li Youran would probably give him the whole world on a golden plate.

Chu Meng Yi knew that he himself wasn’t made of out stone, and his feeling wasn’t superficial, so it won’t be long before his feeling of respect and appreciates for Li Youran turns to love. He just doesn’t know how long that will take. He really doesn’t.

He values and treasures the feelings that Li Youran feels for him like a priceless treasure, but he also worries that his heart will not be shaken.

It wasn’t like Chu Meng Yi had never liked someone before. He does have crushes back in his teenage years. Yet, those so call crushes were only outward. He appreciates the feeling that Ming Yuan feels for him but he doesn’t really care for it.

He does not feel anything else other than appreciation and thank. And Ming Yuan had been with him for more than 10 years, yearning for him, and doing whatever he can to not make Chu Meng Yi hates him. Yet, Chu Meng Yi’s feeling was like a piece of steel that won’t bend under high temperature. So, he had disappointed Ming Yuan already. He does not want to make Li Youran disappointed, too.

He really doesn’t want to give this man a false hope only to shatter his hope if his feeling doesn’t change.

As an author who mainly focuses on writing adventuring and melodrama, Chu Meng Yi knew better than anyone of the feeling of disappointment in love. He knew better than anyone of the hurts that it will bring to anyone with a non-fulfillment feeling. A lot of his characters were like that. He doesn’t focus much on romance in his stories, so a lot of girls and guys are heartbroken because the majority of his Main Characters and Main Lead are very dense. They are very smart, intelligent, wise, cunny, sneaky, and all that, but, the majority of them are ignorant of other people’s feelings for them if it was anything romantic.

A couple of his Main Characters and Main Leads does focus on romance and sentimental value, but those characters all turned out to have harem-wives and husbands, which kind of pissed Chu Meng Yi off to no end, so he would cause all kind of situation that would turn those Main Characters and Main Leads into comedy relief and World-Saver. They never make it to the apex of Martial Arts or whatever it was that they are pursuing it in. Why? Because they all died from Saving their so-called worlds.

After all, no one knew better than him of what Hero died from.

Li Youran smile to himself, after calming down his desire by sheer willpower. He read Yi’er mind nice and clear, so he knew that Yi’er is worrying about his non-existence love emotions. He knew why and what had caused Yi’er to not be able to love someone too.

This was the price that he must pay for dividing his soul power to help all those people... This is the cost of Li Youran’s impulsive actions from back then. There is no one who knew better than him how long it will take Yi’er to get back his feelings. That’s why he will stay with Yi’er for as long as possible before his responsibilities call for him. This was also the price that he has to pay too.

They stay like that for a while as Li Youran enjoys Yi’er presence in his arms.

An hour or so passed by and Chu Meng Yi started to feel the presence of beasts coming their way.

“Li Youran, let me go,” Chu Meng Yi said as he pushes Li Youran away, lightly. Li Youran let him go very reluctantly.

Chu Meng Yi rushes toward the other trees that he still hasn’t collected and places his hand over them, lightly touching them. As Chu Meng Yi touches the trees, the trees vanish from their places on the trunks. Leaving the base of the trees in their places.

He rushed back to Li Youran’s side with a somewhat curious expression inside his eyes. This is the first time that he would see how beasts in this world look like. He truly hasn’t seen the beasts in this world before. He had seen the large as hell bones from that ancient dragon but that’s just the skeletons left. He didn’t know how that dragon looks like or feels like when it was alive.

Standing sides by sides with Li Youran, Chu Meng Yi had to stop himself from letting out more aura. After using that air spell, Chu Meng Yi’s normally calm aura surges up due to using magic and spirits power. So, he has to calm his magic and spiritual power surging down.

The wild and untamable free aura from Chu Meng Yi vanished instantly.

Yep, Yi’er always has great control over his aura.

“Little Bee, how many trees are in the Inventory?” Chu Meng Yi asked Little Bee. As a Synrem System, Little Bee was not a physical system out in the world nor was he an internal in the mind. Rather, Little Bee was contracted and bound to Chu Meng Yi’s spirit and soul. So, unless you are as strong as the creator of Little Bee, Li Yoran, it wouldn’t be possible for you to find any trace of Little Bee no matter how many times you try.

“Master, there are 12,643 trees total inside the Inventory,” Little Bee’s soft-like voice that sounds strangely alike to Li Youran answered.

“Hm, it seems like for now, I need to chase away the beasts before placing walls around the house,” Chu Meng Yi said to himself, not knowing that every action of his make Li Youran’s eyes turn softer and gentler.

The next couple of hours was spent on killing a lot of stubborn beasts and driving away a lot of smarter ones. There are beasts that look like it could come out of anime, manga, and video games, only far more larger and sinister. Beasts that could be from Toriko, MMORPG games like Aions and Tera, manga and animes like Pokemon and the likes, only far more menaces and hate humans to their guts.

For example, there was a cat-like creature that looked startlingly like the Pokemon Eevee, only with large teeth and sharp claws that will do a lot of damages to both humans and non-human alike.

And then there are those little cuties, fluffy, adorable, and tiny beasts that look like a culumon from Digimon, only far cuter and doesn’t have that stigma on its forehead. Only to find out that that’s a rank 5 beast who can use charm magic, and is able to teleport long distances. Not to mention, being one of the most poisonous creatures in this world.

Chu Meng Yi does not want to kill the adorable little beast so he let it go.

What? It was too adorable, okay?!

Li Youran happily watches Chu Meng Yi taking care of all the beast with nothing but his fist and a couple of punches along with a couple of slices of the Air spell, Splitting Heaven as if Splitting Air.

For some reason, Yi’er movement was more martial arts influenced. Just by looking at Yi’er movement, Li Youran can tell that those movements are based on 12 kinds of animals, both flexibles and exchangeable. It was extremely aggressive and yet strangely passive with grace and elegance that make Li Youran want to watch him forever. Some movement is seemingly linear and with explosive powers that change from long range to short range with nothing but a shift or a lift of Chu Meng Yi’s hands and feet. Each movement of Yi’er was filled with the intends to hurt and or kill his opponents.

Chu Meng Yi’s martial arts foundation is strangely strong. Was Yi’er’s life on Earth not safe?

Li Youran has no clue how right yet wrong he was. Chu Meng Yi’s life on Earth was somewhat semi-safe and yet semi-dangerous with a somewhat carefree lifestyle. His best friend, Ming Yuan, was the Heir to the largest group of Triad in Mainland China, with a long bloody history. So, imagine what kind of things he has to do to stop Ming Yuan from ‘kidnapping’ him.

Back when they first met in elementary school, Ming Yuan had tried to fight Chu Meng Yi, only to get kicked in the ass by him. Since then, there are no numbers of times that they’d fought against each other and sometimes for each other.

Having a friend who was so closely connected to the largest Triad in Mainland China was both a good and bad thing for Chu Meng Yi. Good thing that he got a bunch of dumbasses looking for a beating. Bad things that his family members were affected by it. This was one of the reasons why Chu Meng Yi made his siblings all learn martial arts.

Chu Meng Yi will never say that he's an innocent man who never kills before, much less a good man. Have it not been for his family members, back then, he would have left China and gone to Korea or Japan to live there already. After all, it was a pain in the ass trying to get away from idiots and sometimes members of Ming Yuan’s... family/brothers.

By the time that Chu Meng Yi finished his killing spree, the whole area smells of blood and gores.

Afterward, Chu Meng Yi just watches as Li Youran did something to those gores on the ground and it vanished. The smell was also gone too.

Coming back inside their... house, Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran directly went to the Cooking Station on the second-floor basement, to butcher up all the dead beasts that he had killed.

Chu Meng Yi had never skinned, dismantled, or taken apart large animals before.

Back in his former world, the experiences of killing and skinning animals were only on small games like squirrels and sometimes snakes, when he was out in that accidental field trip experiences back in Middle School and High School. The most that he caught was squirrels and fishes from nearby rivers and stream. Other than that, he has never touched a large animal for the purpose of processing it for food.

Inside the Cooking Station, there was a large wood table that has four formations and two inscription spells over the top. Those formations and inscription spells were for the purpose of making sure that the meats will retain the spirit qi and magic power after it was cut off from the main body, and to clean the table of any wastes. In other words, the formation was used to secure the magic and spirit qi while the inscription was automatically cleaning spells.

    Very conveniences.

“Yi’er, use your conscious to feel the veins of each strip of magic and spirit qi on the fibrotic muscles of the beasts, you don’t want to cut the veins but rather go with its flows. Cutting of the spirit qi veins and the magic veins in the muscles will result in leakages of spirit qi and magic power, however, if you cut it alongside the veins and go with the flows, then the parts of the beast will retrain its spirit qi and magic power on a matter where and how long it passed by. Most spirit qi and magic-powered meats are better off if kept frozen before eating it but doing that will not only stop the flows of the spirit qi and magic power in the meats but it will also damages the taste, even before the cooking process,” Li Youran shows him step by steps on how to skin, dismantled, and taking out the beast core and or magic core from the beasts. Some beasts only have one core, while others have up to three cores. The magic core, the spirit core, and their beast core- the core that makes them as an individual.

Only beasts that have wisdom will have a Beast Core. Magic Core is something that every beast has, as it is the power behind their attacks, speed, vitality, and defense. While Spirit Core are cores formed from the spiritual qi as it continues to cultivate and absorb the spiritual qi from their surrounding.

Since this part of the forest are very dense with spiritual qi, the majority of the beast that he had killed all use internal and external qi to strengthen their defense and offense power, making skinning and dismantling their bodies a lot harder. Some beasts' skins are so hard that it made it hard to skin their hides and furs off while others have hides and or furs that change their toughness on different spots of the bodies.

For example, a large brown marten has very soft furs but its skin was so tough that it requires special techniques to skin it. Li Youran was teaching and supervising Chu Meng Yi with how to use his magic and or spirit qi to empower his cutting techniques to cut through such skins.

By the time that he had successfully dismantled his first beast, it had taken more than five hours. And then during the cutting part of separating the meats, it took him an additional three hours. By the time he had separated apart everything of the beast, a large stage-like creature called the Sinew Deeroa, a total of more than nine hours had passed by. Still, with Li Youran’s great command and teaching, by the time that he had finished with the Sinew Deeroa, Chu Meng Yi’s dismantling techniques were already higher than a normal first-rate chief.

For the rest of the night, Li Youran watches as Chu Meng Yi dismantled the weaker beasts as practices.

By the time that the morning sun came out the next morning, Chu Meng Yi had learned how to process the carcasses of some of the beast more efficiently and in more timely- management. Of course, this was only on low-level beasts and near mid-level beasts.

While looking at the meats from his latest practice target, Chu Meng Yi whispered to himself: “It would have been great if there was some apple juice to go along with these meats, too bad there are no such fruits from Earth in this world asides from peaches and apricots”. He whispered wistfully.

That’s right, in this world, the only fruits that are similar to the tastes of the fruits from Earth are the peaches and the apricots. There was a large variety of fruits in this world but the ones that he likes aren’t even common in this world. For example, in Clear Sea Town, there was a fruit that looks similar to a pear but it tastes very pungent and a little spicy, along with a mid-sweet taste. It was very popular in this world and was sold out nearly every day but it just doesn’t suit his tongue.

He had nearly thrown up from just tasting the fruits. Since then, he had searched the markets and found a couple of fruits that he likes the taste of but they are very rare and expensive. Even normal mortal fruits, it was still very expensive that he didn’t want to waste money on.

Seeing the looks of yearning from Chu Meng Yi’s eyes and hearing he whispered, Li Youran’s eyes flashed for a second. A strange smile flashed by his lips for a split second before it vanished.

“Yi’er, I will be back in a couple of days. Don’t go out, okay?” Li Youran warned.

Going out? “Okay, have fun,” Chu Meng Yi didn’t ask where and why Li Youran was going out. Because knowing this man, he would probably ask something like, ‘If I tell you, would you give me a kiss?’ or something similar to it. He had experienced it already during their stay in Clear Sea Town, so he won’t ask. The last time he asked, Li Youran had asked him for a kiss. He didn’t reject Li Youran’s wish because his kiss made the cold and composed Li Youran happy but doing so was very misleading so he stopped.

With a somewhat disappointing look in his eyes, Li Youran vanished from his spot.

Chu Meng Yi cannot help but roll his eyes. This man is really trying everything he can to make Chu Meng Yi spends more time with him and on him. Even if it was only for something simple like a kiss from Chu Meng Yi, Li Youran had done it so subtly that by the time that Chu Meng Yi notice that he got tricks, it was already too late to back out.

Of course, Li Youran had never forced him if he didn’t want to but whenever he thoughts of denying or rejecting Li Youran, he got the picture of a disappointing and sad look on the man’s cold face, making him feel like he had just kicked a small kitty.

It was extremely adorable by the way that Li Youran acts around Chu Meng Yi but he won’t let the man know that. Even a man like Li Youran has his pride as a man too so Chu Meng Yi will not say such things out loud or let him know.

Chu Meng Yi smiled once he was sure that Li Youran won’t be back any time soon. After cleaning up the mess that he made and putting all the meats away into his Inventory, about a couple hundred thousand catty worth of meats, Chu Meng Yi went to the spring-bathhouse.

For some reason, Li Youran had created the spring-hot bathhouse to be very large and very Japanese-style-like. It was exactly like a traditional onsen seen in Japanese traditional inns with somewhat fantastically influences. Like, the water was golden green with a hint of blue and there was some kind of red and golden fishes surrounding the rock in the middle of the hot-water spring.

It was slightly weird since this part of the continent doesn’t have any volcanoes nearby. The nearest volcano was up all the way to the North, about 10,000,000km away from here. So, it was weird that Li Youran had made an onsen out here in the middle of the forest. After bathing and relaxing in the hot spring for a couple of hours, Chu Meng Yi went back to his room and starts writing.

As an Author, Chu Meng Yi has these bad habits of needing to write stories once every week or so, even without any motivation. Be it fictional stories that he made on the spot or long-planned out stories, Chu Meng Yi has, must write something, anything. When he was inside his spatial space, there was a lot of reading to do so his mind was taking off his writing but now that he finished learning how to dismantle beasts and have calmed down by himself, he found himself restless and needed to write something.

Taking out some papers from his inventory, Chu Meng Yi has to sigh out loud. Just these little pieces of paper, about 25 pages worth, were already 10 silver coins. Expensive enough that there are only a couple of sheets of paper in some richer commoner's households.

The paper quality of this world was strangely odd. He had thought that the papers were made out of wood pulp but he was wrong. So very wrong.

The paper of this world was not made out of wood. No, it can be said that they don’t know how to make paper out of wood. It was made out of plants, yes, but not pulps like how modern earth is.

The paper of this world was made from a plant called the “Paper Plant’, a very thin and wide plant that has a very strong and white barks layer. The Paper Plant is not a tree but rather a small vegetable-like plant. Sometimes, it is called the Paper Veins, since it can grow to be that that long, enough to be called a vein.

The paper from this world is from between the barks of this plant and the cambium layer, right before the sapwood and the pith of the plants. For some strange reason, this made the paper in this world very expensive because it was hard to cultivate and manufacture papers.

Only rich people who can afford it buy paper in this world to use for writing stories. This was why the books that he had brought in Clear Sea Town were so expensive.

The inks in this world were top-grade ink sticks that last a long time but the paper was not as good as the ink. Ink can be bought very cheaply, yet the paper was so damn expensive. This world is a little messed up, in Chu Meng Yi’s opinion.

Chu Meng Yi had planned on making his own paper, using wood-planer on very strong wood planks, in either bench planes or block planes, to make very strong fibrotic sheets of wood that can be treated in chemical reagent, turning it into papers. Very strong and non-burnable paper. Both heat, water, and temperature resistance.

Inside the library in his spatial space, there was a couple of books on creating the chemical reagents for treating wood planks, for the purpose of creating papers. Chu Meng Yi doesn’t know where and how these techniques and recipe came from, but he does know that it was created by Li Youran not that long ago. In fact, it was created just a month ago.

So, while thinking of what he should write about, Chu Meng Yi was also making plans for making his own paper.

Hmm, since this world is a magic world, should I write a First-Experience novel? Or should I write a fictional novel? Should I write it from the perspective of a mortal? Or a cultivator? What genres should I write it for? What kind of people do I want to read my writing?

On and on, Chu Meng Yi starts making plans and started to write short stories to stop his mind from being so restless.

The story that Chu Meng Yi writes was not for adults or was it for children. Normally, his stories target a very specific group of people. The majority of his story has little to no overpowered MC/ML, and there were no such things as useless characters in it. There were no stepping-stone characters that will turn stupid once they met the MC/ML. Chu Meng Yi was too lazy to create characters only for them to become stepping stones. So, he didn’t bother with them much. When needed, he will create a couple of idiot characters that could be used as a stepping stone but those characters will always put Chu Meng Yi into a very bad mood afterward. So, he rarely created them.

Chu Meng Yi’s villains' characters all have a standard that they must never cross. Why? Because none of his villain characters are stupid. They can be blackbelly for all he cares, they can be gay and turn the whole world into their harem members, they can destroy anyone that they didn’t like, all of these, he won’t care much. However, none of his villain characters are stupid enough to get caught by the MC/ML. Stupidity was not something that Chu Meng Yi wishes on his characters. Even the most densest and naive of them all are smart and cunny in their own ways. And even super-villains have someone that respects them for their characteristic.

This was why all of Chu Meng Yi’s books, whether or not it was online, was all Best-Selling. He earned around 90,000 USD every month just from his stories. Let’s not mention his other part-time jobs wages.

While Chu Meng Yi was writing his story, Li Youran was in a world that would cause Chu Meng Yi to blink in surprise. Why?

Why, indeed. Why else if not because Li Youran was on Earth?

Doing what? He stolen-I mean-buying seeds and saplings. What seeds? What saplings? Fruits seeds, vegetables seeds and saplings, and anything that had to do with farming and gardening.

By the time that Li Youran came back to Crisisa world, two days had passed by already. Chu Meng Yi had already finished dismantling all of the beasts that he killed and had written a 200 pages story, a fictional story.

Seeing that Chu Meng Yi was relaxing and reading in the living room of their house, Li Youran had to fight the urge to hold the other man. Not seeing Yi’er for only a couple of hours, from his end, was already too much for him. He was like a man who was lost in the desert for hundreds of years, only to find his very own oasis. There was no way that he wouldn’t miss Yi’er.

“Yi’er,” Li Youran called out. Chu Meng Yi was startled for a second before he notices that Li Youran was back.

“Welcome back, Li Youran,” Chu Meng Yi put down his book and greet Li Youran back. For the past two days of not seeing Li Youran, Chu Meng Yi was a little unsettled and nervous. He doesn’t feel that he was in danger because the house was protected by Li Youran’s formation and spells, but it was a little dull here without Li Youran. Chu Meng Yi got used to having Li Youran by his side these past months.

In a flash, Li Youran nearly teleported to Chu Meng Yi’s side. Before Chu Meng Yi knew it, his hand was grabbed by Li Youran and he feels a warm soft touch on his hand. His whole view changed as he finds himself sitting on Li Youran’s lap, with the man’s arms around his waist. This man... he’s shaking slightly. Nothing changes in his expressions but his heart rate was beating far too fast to be normal.

Li Youran kissed his hands as he held him tightly and securely, not letting Chu Meng Yi reject him. His eyelashes trembled with emotions as his hand was slightly shooked. Seeing this, Chu Meng Yi doesn’t know what he should do.

Should he just let Li Youran take advantage of him like this? But that would be far too misleading. Should he move away? But this man had missed him so badly that his whole being is shaking with emotion!

Chu Meng Yi pities him but he doesn’t love him. He worried for Li Youran but he doesn’t want to mislead the man, either. What should I do?

While Chu Meng Yi was having his inner fight to himself, Li Youran had to stop himself from smiling like an idiot as his face twitched. He, of course, read Yi’er’s mind again.

Hmm? Yi’er was already a Foundation Establishment ranked 12? At the peak of rank 12, too. Isn’t this a little too fast? It wasn’t even two days ago that he left Yi’er from this world! What is with this ridiculous fast pace?!

“Yi’er, you’re already at the peak of Foundation Establishment rank 12? What did you do?” Li Youran asked the man in his arms as he continues to adore his hands with small kisses.

That question snapped Chu Meng Yi out of his thinking. “Huh? Oh, that. I didn’t do anything! I was just writing a story. By the time that I came out of my focus, my cultivation was already like this! It was a good thing that you had put those formations to eradicate any coming beast around here, otherwise, I would have died from all the beasts that got attracted to my aura back then.” Chu Meng Yi shivers slightly at the thought of what would happen hasn’t it been for the formation hiding his aura away from the world.

He was just writing like how he normally does back in his former life, how was he to know that it could impact his martial arts cultivation to this level?! He was really confused so he stopped writing after only finishing that novel. He waits for Li Youran to come back to ask instead since Little Bee cannot answer this question.

On Earth, Chu Meng Yi likes to write his stories hand-first before typing them into documents on his computer desktop and then print it out for his editors to check. However, this world doesn’t have a computer, much less, printers. So, he could only focus on writing it using his hand.

Li Youran’s eyes widen so wide that it looks like the eyes of a cat caught unaware. Seeing the look of utter confusion in Yi’er eyes caused his heart to beat even more unsteady. Oh, not good. Yi’er is far too adorable! Li Youran’s cold eyes turned devilishly hot as he bit his lips to stop himself from smiling like an idiot.

“You were just writing? Ah, Yi’er, your Profession was an Author, right? Why don’t you check your Author’s Skill Level and Rank?” Li Youran recalled that Yi’er doesn’t have any job yet in this world. His profession was an author, according to Synrem’s evaluation. So, writing will impact his cultivation due to his mental state. Li Youran didn’t think that it would be this much of an affects thought.

Well, what do you expect from the creator of Infinity Hall?

“My Profession?” Ah, that’s right! Why didn’t I think of that?!

“Little Bee, show me my profile status,”

“Yes, Master. Right away,” Little Bee brings up Chu Meng Yi’s system profile.

    |Profession: Author | Writing Skill: SSS| Writing Rank: SSSS+| Influential: Master Rank| Writing Completed: 1|

“... Wait. What?” Chu Meng Yi dumbfounded looked at the screen label in front of him.

    “Yi’er?” Li Youran wondered.

“My Profession’ skill level is Triple S, while my writing rank is... Five S...” Chu Meng Yi was far too startled by his finding to see that Li Youran’s expressions had pale at his answer.

    “...”

“...” Chu Meng Yi does not know why but for some reason, his instincts were telling him to never tell anyone of his writing rank. He could already foresee all kinds of foreshadowing coming long before it comes in contact with himself.

Both Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi exchanges bewildered look.

“Yi’er, did you put in any spiritual qi or magical power into your novels when you are writing it?” Asked Li Youran.

Chu Meng Yi shakes his head. He didn’t even know that you can do that. No way did he do it.

If Yi’er had an epiphany every time he writes something, then wouldn’t that mean that he would always be getting stronger without practicing and training his skills? That would cause the foundation of his skills and spells to be unstable.

And it seems like Yi’er knew it too if his twitching brows was anything to go by.

A small smile curved Li Youran’s lips before it vanished. This is a great excuse for Li Youran to use.

“Congratulation, Yi’er,” Li Youran said with a glint in his eyes.

“?” Chu Meng Yi looks at Li Youran with a confused look in his eyes. What's to be congrats on this situation?!

“Congratulation for getting to the peak of Foundation Establishment. Come with me, I will show you your congratulation gift and rewards,” Li Youran said without any preamble.

Chu Meng Yi looks at this man like he's an idiot. Does this man need to always use those excuses just to dote on him? Well, true. Without any excuses, Li Youran knew that Chu Meng Yi will not accept his gift so this was a perfect opportunity for him to relish the man in affection.

Sighing out loud, Chu Meng Yi follows Li Youran out to their backyard/front lawn.

    And froze in complete surprise.

In front of him was what a tropical garden filled with all kinds of fruits trees will look like if it was a real garden. Instead of seeing a clear land due to all the cut trees bases, Chu Meng Yi saw the framework from the Synrem system that Li Youran had put into the ground. It was like a pale shade of light of letters, telling Chu Meng Yi what would and could be planted on it.

What surprised Chu Meng Yi wasn’t the fact that this tropical garden comes out from nowhere. It was the fact that those labels are all things that he recognized without even having to think about it.

Pineapple, mango, guava, lychee, carambola(star fruit), purple mangosteen, pitaya(dragon Fruits), watermelon, grapefruits, longan, loquat, white and brown Sapote, apple, strawberry, orange, pear, peach, grapes, banana, cherry, avocado, cantaloupe, lemon, papaya, berries, apricot, tangerine, pomegranate, coconut trees, persimmon, date, passion fruits, quince, prune, kumquat, jackfruits, water chestnuts, and all sorts of fruits, nuts, and vegetables like carrot, potato, tomato, pea, cabbages from various part of Earth, unions and oh my fucking lord, there is too many listed for him to read it all!!!

Chu Meng Yi was completely frozen in his spot as his eyes widen so much in disbelief that it makes him look silly and yet very adorable to Li Youran’s eyes.

“Like it?” Li Youran asked softly as he innocently stole a kiss from Chu Meng Yi’s lips without any guilt whatsoever. Chu Meng Yi was still far too shocked to even realized it, anyway...

Hmm? Should I steal another kiss? Li Youran thought to himself.

    Kissed.

    Hmm? Yi’er is still shocked?

Kiss again? No, let’s not. I don’t want Yi’er to be mad at me.

Instead, Li Youran just let Chu Meng Yi naturally come back to his senses.

A couple of minutes later, Chu Meng Yi comes back to his senses, only to see a very satisfied-looking Li Youran holding him tightly in his arms with his back toward the man’s chest.

“Oi, let go,” Li Youran reluctantly let go. This man...

“Where in the world did you get all of these?” Chu Meng Yi cannot stop himself from asking. After all, these have pretty much 70%, if not 80%, of all the great fruits from Earth. If he didn’t ask, he would have been far too naive and taken everything for granted. And this wasn’t even including the vegetable names that he saw on the lists.

    Fucking damn over-powerful immortal!!!

“Earth,” Li Youran simply answered, not even hiding anything.

“... You went to Earth to get these?” Chu Meng Yi asked, completely thinking that this man was far too much. Earth was dimensional, universe, and realms away!

This man takes TWO freaking damn days to go and come back?!!! Did he use the doors from the Hall? But, Earth was a world without Magic or Spiritual qi that could be used as energy to connect to that door! They do have lighting and electricity but that’s not the energy used to open those doors, right? So, how did Li Youran come and go to and from Earth so easily?

Well, whatever. What he left behind was left behind with no attachment. So, he really doesn’t care much. His family members are all secure with finances, he taught his siblings what needs to be taught. His friends aren’t that close to him. The only one that could and would cry his heart out was probably Ming Yuan and his little brother, Chu Feilong, who’s only 12 years old this year. So, Chu Feilong was probably not yet good at keeping his poker-face, unlike his other brothers Chu Yangle, whose face was like a block of wood.

Chu Meng Yi was really easy to read once you get to know him. He was like the sun, shining so brightly that you cannot hide its presence away. While he might be indifferent toward a lot of things, have a lot of different views, and have various different kinds of friends, Chu Meng Yi was never good at keeping a poker face on. Unlike his two younger brothers and his little sister, Chu Meng Yi sucks at keeping a poker face.

Li Youran didn’t even have to read his mind, 90% of the time, to know what he was thinking about.

    “Hmm,” Li Youran nodded.

“...” His common senses. He can feel them flying away again.

    Sigh.

“So, what should I do with all of these?” Chu Meng Yi asked, completely confused and literally mind-blowing. His mind is a little... off right now to make a good judgment decision.

“Plants them,” Of course, what else can or should he do with it? Li Youran had already made sure that these seeds and seedlings can be planted into Spirits and Magic fruits. So now, all that Chu Meng Yi needs to do was cultivate them well and take good care of them for them to bear magical and spiritual fruits.

“Okay,” Chu Meng Yi’s brain was far too tired to talk back to this man.

The plots of land were already plowed and irrigated using spiritual water. All that’s left was for Chu Meng Yi to place the seeds of his choices into their places and then cultivate them using his own spiritual qi or magic powers. Naturally, he could also leave it alone and it would grow by itself. It just going to take a lot longer for it to bear fruits. If it was cultivated by someone, the plants would bear fruits faster and the fruits themselves will taste better with more spiritual qi or magic power. Naturally, rarely does someone truly spends their time taking care of fruits trees. The majority of the cultivators prefer taking care of spirit and magic grains or vegetables and herbs instead of fruits trees that require a lot more maintenance and power to grow.

However, because spirit fruits and magic fruits require a long time to grow, their effects on cultivators and practitioners were more permanent and everlasting. So, it was very high in demand but little in supplies.

Only large sects that had millions of disciples and hundreds of elders are capable of growing their own little fruits garden. And even then, a tree would require at least a cultivator of Foundation Establishment rank 5 to give at least 5 hours of spiritual qi or magic power every day for it to bear fruits.

So, for Li Youran to make sure that these fruits will still bear and yet doesn’t use much spiritual qi or magic power, he had made the plots around the variety of spiritual and magical veins within the formations around the house.

Which mean that as long as Yi’er take care of it minimally, like killing the spirit and or magic insects, fertilizing the ground every month or so, directing the spiritual qi and magic power into the plants along with using Yi’er own Spiritual Spring Water made from his Water Spells to water and irrigates them, then it is all guarantee that these fruits will bear fruits plentiful and abundantly.

Besides, Yi’er didn’t really need to take care of it every year. He only needs to take care of it in the beginning when it was still just a sapling. Once it reaches five months old, some of these fruits trees, and vegetable plants will automatically start producing and taking care of themselves. Because the majority of them will not die and just keep on producing and bearing fruits years round. Of course, Yi’er would still have to water them and make sure that there are no insects within those trees but that would happen rarely due to how insect resistances these plants and vegetables have.

Since there are literally thousands of different kinds of fruits and another thousand different kinds of varieties from each fruit, Chu Meng Yi had chosen to plant the ones that he knew about only. He isn’t a farmer who specialized in such a subject so he could only do so by intuition and logic.

He chose to plant these fruits; apple, peach, pear, orange, mango, lychee, grapes, longan, loquat, strawberries, and cherries, along with blueberry and a couple of other berries, lemon, lime, apricot, persimmon, date, and jackfruits.

As for vegetables, he chose: Daikon, carrots, onion, garlic, tomato, beans, cabbages, broccoli, mustard greens, and its varieties, cucumber, lettuce, sweet radish, celery, eggplant, garden-able asparagus, zucchini, leek, bell peppers, a couple of chards and watercresses, a lot of chilly pepper if only for seasoning, shallots, scallions, herbs used in cooking like thyme and sage, a lot of bitter melons- his favors, chayote, and a couple of veins of wax gourds and its varieties. He didn’t need to plant any bamboo because this world does have bamboo, only it is the purple bamboo one and not the sweet bamboo variety.

As Chu Meng Yi planted the listed above fruits and vegetables, he noticed that there was no mushroom at all.

Noticing the look of question from Yi’er, Li Youran answered, “Edible mushrooms will have to come later as this world isn’t ready for it yet.” Which caused Chu Meng Yi’s overactive brains to imagine all sorts of scenarios as to why this world isn’t ready for it.

Poison? Hmm, this might be the main reason. I hope that Li Youran won’t do anything over-the-top to change that.

Common senses in this world had said that mushrooms are poisonous and inedible. That’s why Chu Meng Yi didn’t see any mushrooms back in Clear Sea Town. One of the reasons why this is true was that all the mushrooms in this world have little to no resistance against corrupted mana or spiritual qi. Those mushrooms that take too much or too little pure mana and or spiritual qi will either rot and or turn poisonous.

Each year, about 20% of all death is caused by eating mushrooms. 20% of these are the majority of orphans, very poor commoners, beggars, and or idiots who have eyes but cannot see Mountain Tai. Or those that have the eyes but had to eat it anyway...

Of course, there are methods to get rid of the poison inside the mushrooms. But, only high-end sects knew the methods and it was a very private method. After all, it is said that once you had successfully taken out the poison within the mushrooms, it will not only turn the mushrooms into a very good delicacy but it was also very great for helping cultivators absorbs more mana and or spiritual qi from nature, once you eat it.

So, this world is not ready for such a thing.

Chu Meng Yi nodded in understanding as he continues to plant the other plants/vegetables listed above.

Since a lot of the plants/seeds/seedlings/saplings have the same methods of planting, it didn’t take him that long to plant all of it. It takes about 14 hours for him to finish planting it. By then, Chu Meng Yi’s mind had already calmed down and his common senses came back a little.

After watering the planted seeds/seedling/saplings, Chu Meng Yi watched as they literally sprout out so fast that it was scary.

As I said, Chu Meng Yi shouldn’t bother keeping his common sense intact when dealing with things that involved Li Youran.

That man made it his Mission to kick away all of Chu Meng Yi’s common sense. Why? Because his stunned face looks very adorable and Li Youran wanted to see it more. Since Chu Meng Yi always has an indifferent face on at all times, whenever it changes, Li Youran gets to see it and it was very adorable.

And was he successful with that?

He might have succeeded it far too much.

So, if Chu Meng Yi doesn’t have any common sense left in this world, he can and will blame it on Li Youran.

After that, Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran barricade their area up using the woods that he had cut it down. Well, of course, the wall was so much stronger than normal that no beast can destroy it. At least, not the beasts found in this part of the world.

As Chu Meng Yi continued to take care and cultivate the fruits trees and vegetables, he learned a lot of things and methods about each plant. The apple trees have very lively spirits so it was very responsive toward the mana and spiritual qi that he give them while the peach was very peaceful and doesn’t react at all except for when he give water. Each different plants have different reactions and it was very interesting.

Especially the grapefruits. It was very sensitive toward a lot of things. Temperature, water level, spiritual qi intakes, mana absorbing rate, sunlight, winds, nutritions, etc., etc.

It was a very sensitive fruit. A very lovely and adorable fruit.

However, its sensitives also affect its taste too. The first time that the grapefruits successfully bear the fruits, the taste was still the same from Earth. However, the second time was so intensively sweet that it almost gives him a sweet tooth.

It wasn’t just the grapefruits that are affected after their first time bearing fruits. The other fruits and vegetables are also the same too. The first time that the carrot grew, it tastes the same as from Earth. However, the seeds from the first patch of carrots were planted and it has grown much faster compared to the first generation. Its taste was far stronger in flavor and larger in size, while its leaves taste sweeter. The colors turn even more vibrant colors while the smell from it alone was enough to make any human, beast, or otherwise, stomach cry out loud.

And also, all the earthworms within the soil turn transparent and increase in size due to the huge amount of nutrition that the formations render. Causing all the vegetables and fruits trees to grow even stronger and taller, which in turn causes them to bear more fruits.

A couple of years passed by with Chu Meng Yi being very busy.

He made his own papers, writes a lot of short stories to get to know what kind of effects his Profession has, learned farming from Li Youran, learn how to set up low-level(?) formations, read a lot of books about all kinds of things, practice/trains his body so that his foundation isn't jackassingly weak, spends sometimes getting back his common senses while trying not to let it fly away again, practice dismantling beasts, cooking spiritual and magical foods, lazily sleeping around whenever he got lazy.

Pretty much, a carefree life with no big goals while Li Youran made it his goal to get as many kisses and holding hands from Chu Meng Yi as possible as his monthly goal. By the time that four years passed by, Chu Meng Yi was used to sleeping within Li Youran’s arm daily. So much that he can’t sleep when Li Youran had to go back to the Hall to do his work. When that happens, Chu Meng Yi would stay up to research recipes, read or train in the training facility by himself. As a result, by the time that 4 years went by, Chu Meng Yi had gotten used to Little Bee and this world.

He didn’t learn how to make Paper-Puppet yet, though. Since he doesn’t have the materials to make them and he isn’t really in a rush to get them. He does read all the information that he could about making Paper-Puppets, and he found it a little... indoctrinated.

Why? Because it needs bones from the dead. From the death that have regrets and hatred. Bones from the cultivators that have not done any misdeed but were still killed unjustly. That is the main material used in Paper-Puppet.

Chu Meng Yi was not looking forward to collecting those bones. At all.

So, yes. He will put this plan of his on hold for a little more while. As long as he can help it.

Yay! @Lunnear - Loved this story! An editor can take care of the grammatical mistakes but please continue updating the story! You can also choose to upload these chapters on Wattpad without the need of spending time in creating your own website/ blog... Plus Wattpad will also expand your reader base. However it is, I am eagerly waiting for your next chapters!!

    Thank you for reading.

I have Wattpads. But since my novels's aren't edits yet and the grammars are fixed, I don't want to put it on Wattpads.

Okay, first let me say that I LOVE your story so far and I know I’m going to rush through it all and then get depressed while waiting for updates, but BRING IT ON!

The following are some mistakes I saw...
“...Because there is no cultivation manual?”
should be “there ARE no cultivation MANUALS?”

“...than to not bother with the Last Three Elementals of Void, Time, and Spirit/Cosmic because it will tears his mind to shredded.”
It should actually be “because it will TEAR his mind to SHREDS.”

“...Depend on how you cultivates the plants...”
Is “...DEPENDING on how you CULTIVATE the plants...”

    A correction for chap 5
“...This is more like a freaking damn metropolitan city rather than a town, but since this world is far larger and wider than Earth has ever been, their towns were about the size of Beijing, the Imperial City of China. It is very large.”

    Correction for chapter 5
Instead of “...the earthen horses start moving at a steady rate of 35 mph.” It should be “...the earthen horses startED moving at a steady rate of 35 mph.”

Instead of “...Chu Meng Yi see no sin in using the money that Li Youran give him to buys books for himself!”
It should be “...Chu Meng Yi SAW no sin in using the money that Li Youran GAVE him to buys books for himself!”

Instead of “...Chu Meng Yi froze for a couple minutes before he relaxes since he doesn’t any ‘bad’ intents from the man.” should be “...Chu Meng Yi froze for a couple minutes(SECONDS? since it’d make more sense?) before RELAXING since he DIDN’T SENSE any ‘bad’ INTENTIONS from the man.”

Instead of “...So, he didn’t stop Li Youran but he wasn’t a hundred percents okay with it.” should be “...So, he didn’t stop Li Youran but he wasn’t a hundred PERCENT okay with it.”

Instead of “...While Chu Meng Yi still had that somewhat INDIFFERENT state of mind and didn’t SEEM to care, Li Youran’s eyes WIDENED a little and a soft smile tends(I think you should change this word, it doesn’t really make sense) on his lips as his eyes GLISTENED A BIT like he wanted to cry in happiness.”

WELCOME to the community and the world of fujoshi and yaoi! We’re always happy to have more fellow admirers!

It was actually a really long story with 15 arcs and a real world arc, but I know the feeling! It felt so short even though it was so long! But the translator will be picking up other novels so hopefully those are just as good!

Book 1 Chapter 7: The New Business in Clear Sea Town

It has been more than 5 years since Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran had left Clear Sea Town, and settled down here at the border of the two forbidden regions.

Their lives were very great and carefree.

    Far too great, in fact.

There was no one here to cause a mess for either of them. The only noises are from the winds and the roars of the beasts that occasionally came near. And even then, there aren’t many activities from outside. The inside? A lot of loud and various noises were caused by both Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran training together and practicing the other 9 combat professional arts and crafting arts.

The 9 professional arts such as the basic sets of skills for [1]Crafting, which consist of smithing {both black-smith and white-smith}, alchemy, leatherworking, tailoring, [2]spiritual and magical talisman making, seal creation, inscription, and formation(both Laws and Forces) creation, and magic and Spiritual woodcrafting (carpentry, doll creation, paper doll creation, and [3]crystallization creation and crafting, Jewelry crafting, and Jewelry Elements Augmentation.

When Chu Meng Yi was training in his cooking, fishing, foraging, skinning, and farming, there weren’t much of noises. But crafting and training in martial arts or combats makes a lot of noise. And that was the only kind of noise within the area.

So, yes, Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran were having a very quiet, peaceful, life.

So far, out of every skill that Chu Meng Yi has, his farming, leatherworking, alchemy, and craftings skills were the ones that level up the most.

Well, that was asides from his martial arts and magic skills, which was already pretty high for people his age... After all, Chu Meng Yi hasn’t been to this world for that long.

It was only 5 years ago that he had started to truly live in this world. So, for his martial arts skills to be that strong already was just... heaven-defying.

The farms that Chu Meng Yi has cultivated was so flourished that the surplus of foods that they got, was so much that it shoots through the roofs.

It was to the point that the majority of it was turned into preserved and dried foods and yet, it still filled the storage rooms with interspatial bags worth of them.

The three storages rooms that they had were already augmented into a larger space, the Interspatial Space Room. Because the rooms have been accumulated all the weapons, tools, potions, leathers and clothes, seals, and god knows what else that Chu Meng Yi had created and made, it needs to be properly augmented. Still, Chu Meng Yi’s augmentation skill wasn’t that high yet, so Li Youran was the one that turns most of the rooms into an Interspatial Space Room.

Chu Meng Yi did records what he had made and created in his Record of Creation books, but... yeah, the Interspatial Space Room wasn’t as organized as the rest of the rooms, so it was a lot harder for Chu Meng Yi to find his previous works for comparison and notes inside those Interspatial Space Rooms.

Even the extra rooms in the basements were also augmented into Interspatial Space Room, and yet, it still wasn’t enough.

Chu Meng Yi was tempted to turn the room next to his into another Interspatial Space Room, if not for the already there spells to protect all the things in there.

Hm? What is this Interspatial Space Room? It is a room that had been inscribed, sealed, and augmented using formation, arrays, and magic circuits into the wall. In other words, it is a room that was larger, wider, and higher than it seems.

The living rooms within this mansion are larger than normal, so when it was converted into an Interspatial Space Room, its size increased from a 27 ft. by 6 ft. by 30 ft. 4 inches into 687 ft. by 6 ft. by 758 ft. 4 inches. That’s a whole 25 times larger than before.

That’s the largest that Chu Meng Yi can create at the moment. Why? Only because this world’s Law and Force can only be molded this much. If Chu Meng Yi and or Li Youran bend the Law and Force any more than this, then it would cause the Laws and Forces in this world to twist, which will cause all kinds of disasters for this world.

So, to make sure that this doesn’t happen, Chu Meng Yi had asked Li Youran to make sure to prevent him from doing too many heaven-defying things, such as letting one of his creations into the world. It would totally break any balance that this world has if any of his items got outside. Well, the stronger ones, that is.

Yu Ying along was already world and heavenly defying enough. If Chu Meng Yi created any more paper puppets, they cannot be strong from the start. They will have to learn on their own and increase their base cultivation little by little. This way, the world could get used to their presence, little by little.

Who is Yu Ying? Yu Ying is the first Paper puppet that Chu Meng Yi had created, using both Magic and Spiritual means. Yu Ying was created with materials from a magical being. So, Yu Ying was far stronger than a normal paper puppet.

Moving on, the basement’s storage rooms were larger than the rooms upstairs but it cannot be augmented into an Interspatial Space Room. Why? Well, because there are far too many Interspatial Bags in there. So, Chu Meng Yi cannot augment or format the basement into another storage room. Otherwise, yeah, the basement’s space will distort and summon all kinds of dark creatures from the depth of this world’s(dimension and plane) hell.

Chu Meng Yi doesn’t want that to happen, so, yeah.

“What to do? Now, even the basement cannot hold any more spatial bags. Should I make another basement floor, especially for storage purposes?” Chu Meng Yi asked himself, not caring that Li Youran was behind him, watching his every move.

He would hate to waste food, especially when he knows that the people of this world always have food shortages due to the different kinds of monsters and beasts there are in this world. This world was only a Rank-F World, and yet, the monsters and beasts in this world were... abundance. Far too abundance.

Chu Meng Yi had never gone to another world before, but he does have this feeling that this world was slowly turning abnormal.

And this was proven by Li Youran’s statement.

Li Youran had said that it was due to his presence that there was a large increase amount of beasts. Which has resulted from the increase of mana and spiritual qi purity in this world due to his presence. With Li Youran’s presence alone, it slowly causes this world to increase from a Rank-F into a Rank-E world.

It wouldn’t be very fast but it wasn’t slow either. Within 2000 years, this world will turn into a Rank-E world from a Rank-F world. All due to Li Youran’s presence.

Normally, it would take up to 3 million years for a world to increase in Rank. yet, with Li Youran's presence here alone, it kickstarted the world's natural evolutionary stages so much that not only was the spiritual qi and mana being influenced, even the world's core itself was started to gain consciousness.

Every breath that this man breathes in this world, he was emitting pure mana and spiritual qi into the world’s atmosphere and core, causing this world to mature at a far faster rate compared to other normal worlds.

This was why there have been more beast hordes in the past 5 years and more death from both sides of the spectrums.

And so, Chu Meng Yi hates wasting food. Even if there was only himself, Li Youran, and Yu Ying living here. And yes, Yu Ying does eat too. He doesn’t have to as he can just absorb mana and spiritual qi as his fuel, but he does know and can eat.

Where did all those extra foods come from?

    The farms.

The beasts keep wondering inside their area.

    The breeding ground.

The majority of them are meats, fruits, and vegetables, which were already turned into preservation foods.

    No, not the canned food!

Some of them were dried, some were cooked and frozen, some were turned into sweets, and some were turned into jar foods. With magical and spiritual waters. But never canned that use metal! It is all glasses jars!

The reason was that metal cans react weirdly to magic. So, instead of metal cans, Chu Meng Yi was advised by Li Youran to use either magically crafted glassware or Woodware. He chose glassware. Easier to make and more presentable.

For example, the interspatial bags that Chu Meng Yi was currently holding was filled to the brim with jars of strawberry jelly, peach jelly, apple jelly, and all kind of fruits jelly and jams. The spreadable kinds are sweet and used on bread or desserts.

To make sure that the spreads are used, Chu Meng Yi even brought wheat seeds from another continent and planned them inside his farm. Well, after using magic and spiritual qi spring water to soak the seeds, of course. Which increases the harvesting amount by at least 50% and more. This made the bread slightly sweet, soft, and fragrant too.

So, yes, Chu Meng Yi would hate to throw away the foods that he plants and cultivates himself. They are like his treasures(not really) so the thoughts of throwing away food had never hit his mind. It’s like throwing away his own children or something similar. Much to Li Youran's amusement.

He doesn’t want to waste it. Even after making sure to use the majority of the vegetables to make soup bouillon cubes and preservation foods, there’s still far too much food leftover.

Yet, what can he do? Li Youran had already created a breeding ground for him. So, the foods that were left over, after making them into sweets and jars of food, were used as feeds for the animal/beasts that were inside the breeding ground. Still, the accumulation of food left even after subtracting the feeds was...too much.

“Yi’er, do you want to implement that plan of yours?” Li Youran asked from behind Chu Meng Yi.

Li Youran didn’t really care whether or not Chu Meng Yi opened a store in Clear Sea Town, but since he is Yi’er's husband, it is his responsibility and job to make sure that his beloved wife isn't stressing over situations like this, right?

If Li Youran enjoys this situation a little too much, then that’s his problem.

The plan that Li Youran spoke of was the plan that Chu Meng Yi had made a couple of years ago.

It was to open a store or something similar within Clear Sea Town, dealing with fruits, vegetables, and meats for both the normal mortal and spiritual and magic for cultivators.

Li Youran embraces Chu Meng Yi from behind, not caring at all that the image was slightly rated PG-18 plus. Li Youran didn’t bother feeling embarrassed for thinking of himself as Chu Meng Yi’s husband. He is Yi’er husband, and that is final.

“Ah, the store. I have already sent Yu Ying to buy the land for it. However, to be honest, I don’t really want to stay in Clear Sea Town. It is far too crowded.” Chu Meng Yi said with his head tilted to the side, his expression was expressionless.

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran went into town before to restock their salts and sugar and sell a couple of things, but that’s pretty much once every three to four months and only for a couple of hours at best. The town was too crowded for Chu Meng Yi’s taste, so he didn’t want to stay there for long.

Compared to China in the modern-day, Clear Sea Town’s population is like twice the amount of Shanghai’s population and yet half the among of tall buildings. The number of people in the streets was... near unbearable. Especially their smells.

    Especially the smells.

It was no wonder why cultivators don’t like to come into mortal towns. Their five senses were heightened once they train, so their sense of smell was a lot more potent than before, causing them to smell all sorts of smells from the people in town.

It made Chu Meng Yi wonder how often do the people of this world washes themselves? Was there no public bath?

In that case, it might be a good idea to open a bathhouse too. No, a bathhouse is a must if Chu Meng Yi was going to be staying anywhere near Clear Sea Town.

He wasn’t a clean freak but he does prefer a clean and neat environment compared to a dirty and smelly one.

“Yi’er, do you want to adopt a couple of orphans and train them?” Li Youran asked, knowing that he had to choose his word carefully. The last time that Li Youran had to suggest getting a slave, Chu Meng Yi had stopped talking to him for a full week. He learned his lesson already.

“Or you could create more puppets to work in the store once it’s opened.” Li Youran added, carefully.

Chu Meng Yi’s hand didn’t stop putting away the interspace bags but his heart skips a beat with that suggestion. He had thought that Li Youran was going to suggest him getting a slave again. As a man from modern China who has younger siblings, Chu Meng Yi does not want anything to do with slavery.

But, training orphans with the professions arts? Hmm. That’s a good idea.

Cooking, Fishing, Skinning, Gathering, Foraging, Prospecting, Farming, Leatherworking, Tailoring, and Woodcrafting might be good professions for the orphans. Or just being an artisan in general works too.

Since this world is more Western Fantasy influence, with less Chinese Xianxia influence, and slightly more xuanhuan influence, to cultivate into an immortal was a lot easier than other worlds. So, turning the kids into immortal practitioners are okay for him, but he will refrain from doing that. Such things are just asking for reality-breaking.

If he was going to adopt orphans to train, then it would require Chu Meng Yi to make plans more solidly. Taking someone in isn’t easy.

Chu Meng Yi might have experiences with kids and looking after his own siblings, but kids who aren’t blood-related were another thing altogether.

The responsibility that he will have to bear for another person’s life, isn’t easy to support.

Financially? Not a problem. Physically? No problem. Spiritual and magically? No problems there. The only problems that he will have are Emotional ones.

Chu Meng Yi was just a normal human before he died. And even then, his poker face wasn’t as great as his brothers. He tends to cry when things get sad. Of course, silently and to himself, only. So, he wasn’t an emotional challenge person. But... there’s a reason why Chu Meng Yi’s poker face was a natural face for him.

Chu Meng Yi was the kind of person that will not let someone go once they are his.

This is one of the reasons why Chu Meng Yi is hesitating to repay back Li Youran’s love for him.

Even if Chu Meng Yi doesn’t love him, as in ‘in love, he could have stayed with the man and be 'his'. Only, this isn’t good. Why? Because if he was going to be Li Youran’s, then Li Youran will have to be his, too. It will have to be equal and mutually.

Knowing the man, Li Youran would probably be happy to be Chu Meng Yi’s, but... Chu Meng Yi doesn’t feel that way for this man- at least, not yet. So, he can’t be his.

That’s why Li Youran cannot be Chu Meng Yi’s possessive. And Chu Meng Yi isn’t Li Youran's. Chu Meng Yi could be his wife, but soul-wise, as in belonging to Li Youran completely in body, heart, and soul, Chu Meng Yi does not belong to the older man yet. Li Youran knew this well and he’s fine with it.

Regardless of the current stage of their relationship, Li Youran knew that sooner or later, Chu Meng Yi will be his and only his. Same as how he belongs to Yi’er and only Yi’er, regardless of how much time passed by.

However, if he was going to adopt kids, clothes them, feed them, train them, then all the kids will have to be his. As a possessive object.

Their rights as an individual will have to cease to exist. They will have to listen to his words and be loyal to him only. If they wanted to marry someone, then they will need his permission.

And this wasn’t good. This was not good.

Chu Meng Yi was very careful when it comes to taking someone in.

Nonetheless, in this case, he won’t be taking the kids in and adopting them as a family members. Rather, he would be taking them in as workers. So, he didn’t need to be that cautious with the boundaries that he would set for them.

But... “Where in the world would I find orphans? Was there an orphanage in Clear Sea Town?” Chu Meng Yi asked with a tilt of his head. Yep, Chu Meng Yi’s common sense from this world was still nowhere to be found.

“Yi’er, there isn’t an orphanage in Clear Sea town but there are villagers that are being run down by hordes of the beast so there are also a lot of orphans in the surrounding villages,” Ah, that’s right.

Chu Meng Yi had been living with Li Youran for the past 5 years with no one around, Yu Ying doesn’t count, his common sense was none-existed. Whatever common sense he had developed, Li Youran made it his mission to kick it off to the horizons. So, even now, Chu Meng Yi’s common sense wasn’t really there...

Due to Li Youran's presence in this world, the beasts and monsters were getting stronger so the damages that it had done to the people of this world were severe. So, even if Clear Sea Town doesn't have a lot of orphans, the orphans from other towns, villages, and cities were a lot.

“That’s a good idea. I will have Yu Ying take in some orphans and train them to work in my shop,” Chu Meng Yi nodded in reply to Li Youran’s suggestion.

Li Youran kisses Chu Meng Yi’s cheek and said, “Yi’er, one shop won’t be enough. Or rather, the shop will have to be very big to meet the needs of all the citizens in Clear Sea Town,” He said, as he led Chu Meng Yi by his hand toward the living room.

That might be the case. With the number of foods here, there’s no way that only one small store can settle to sell all of it.

Li Youran’s eyes soften as he read that though. Oh, Yi’er, you have no idea what kinds of things you are selling to these people. There was no way that just one store will be enough for the people of this town. And once news travels to other villages, towns, and cities, the number of people would only increase.

Did Yi’er not know this? No, he does know this.

Ah, so that’s what all those augmented inscriptions on those bricks are for. Yi’er had already foreseen the chaos it will cause the world once those fruits and vegetables from Earth are released into this world. Especially if it was the fruits and vegetables that Yi’er cultivates himself.

There’s no way that it wouldn’t cause a commotion once the people of this world came in contact with Yi’er’s fruits and vegetables. Even the normal ones.

No, especially the normal ones. Those have the benefits of purifying a mortal’s body, soul strength, and magical affinities, after all. No matter how small those benefits are, they are still benefits.

“Yi’er, are you opening only one store?” Even if it won’t be enough? Was left unsay.

“It will be fine. It’s not like I am opening the store to cater to rich people’s needs. I am opening it for the common people.” Chu Meng Yi replied back, totally not caring that he’s in Li Youran’s arms, or that he was totally disregarding the power of political inside Clear Sea Town. Power and politics? What’s that? Can I eat it? Li Youran’s eyes flashed with amusement at Chu Meng Yi’s answer.

Pulling the younger male into his arm, Li Youran had to fight the chuckle that was making its way into his throat. Ah, not good. Yi’er is too adorable.

That’s right. This is his Yi’er. He had never cared for richness, not before and certainly not now.

Alright, since his Yi’er said so.

Besides, it’s not like Yi’er was actually ignorant of the power struggle within Clear Sea Town. He had Yu Ying go to collect information after all, so there’s no way that he’s ignorant of it. He just doesn’t care about it.

Speaking of training, should he also grab some fools from somewhere and train them into his subordinates too? He can just do everything himself but why do that when you can just order someone else to do it?

Okay, good idea. If Yi’er was going to train some orphans to work in his store. Then I could also train some mortal to be my feet and hand.

Not knowing that Li Youran had decided to start a group, Chu Meng Yi places his head on the older man's shoulder as they sit on the sofa, waiting for Yu Ying to come back.

The image that they create was so harmonic and peaceful that not even God would want to interrupt. After all, even a god doesn't want to get into Li Youran's bad side. And interrupting their times together will really get Li Youran to put you on a black list.

Even though Chu Meng Yi’s feeling for this man wasn't loved, he does know that he belongs to him as he belongs to him. So, Chu Meng Yi sees no reason as to reject this man’s touch, kisses, hugs, and hold. At least, not anymore. Before, he was hesitated but now, he wasn't. Especially when he started to dream of the lives from long ago of him and this man. Honestly, how did he not recognize the Li Youran that was this Li Youran?

Li Youran, too, has a previous life. And it certainly wasn't as an Immortal being. He wasn't even human in that life!

Chu Meng Yi closed his eyes and started to meditate within the man’s arms.

Chu Meng Yi’s presence started to blend into the surrounding. Causing the peaceful aura within the mansion to turn even more peaceful, if that was possible. All the natural life within the area of the formation started to feel the pure and divine aura coming from and within the mansion. A pure aura of magic started to accumulate within the house, causing the fruits trees, vegetables within the earth, the animal inside the breeding ground, and the birds in the air to quiet down as they too meditate.

In a blink of an eye, all of the natures within the formation started to blend into one.

This is the realm of cultivating, Cultivating to and from Nature. A step above the realm of Cultivating with Nature. The feedback from the earth, the air, the water, the woods, the fire within the core of this world, the mana veins, magic veins, the spiritual qi that flows from the sky down to the earth, and most of all, from the stars’ energies. Blending them all into one, receiving and then giving it back.

This was one of the reasons why this world was gaining its own consciousness.

All the natures within the formation, the area that was cut off from the rest of the land, from Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran’s land, shivers and shine with a crystal clear amount of life. Vitality, understanding of Dao Laws and Forces.

This was especially true to a certain paper puppet, who had just come back from harvesting the fruits, vegetables, and feeding the animal in the breeding ground after he went to Clear Sea Town and bought the lands that will be for his Master. He stopped dead on his track and started to meditate, too.

The purity of the mana, the spiritual qi, and star energies was so abundant that Yu Ying’s body started to shine as he took in the extra energy, magic power, and spiritual qi into himself.

“My creator surely is heaven-defying.” Yu Ying murmured to himself with a slight smile on his cold face. The ground under Yu Ying was already frozen solid due to Yu Ying’s culturing manual... He stood up and went inside without a slight noise.

Inside the mansion, the aura was even denser. Causing Yu Ying to nearly choking on his tongue. Slightly shaking his head, he went to the two cultivators sitting in the middle of the sofa and kneel down, not making any noise. He will wait here for when his creator finished meditating.

Li Youran took one look at the silence of Yu Ying and closed his eyes again.

Yu Ying, the first paper puppet that his Yi’er had ever created in this world. A paper puppet that was a Sky Boundary realm cultivator. A paper puppet that can cultivate by himself. A paper puppet that has its own Consciousness and Soul.

Li Youran internally smirked. Well, what do you expect? His Yi’er is awesome.

The requirement for creating a Paper Puppet that has its own awareness like Yu Ying is really harsh. Not only does it require the bones of a cultivator that is pure in both heart and mind, and died unjustly. It also required a lot of a different kinds of knowledge to create it.

And yet, his Yi’er did just that. Unlike the Paper Puppet that he himself can make, Yu Ying was different.

The process in which he was created with it was different.

Yu Ying’s whole body was exactly like how a human body is. Only, the materials of that make-up his body were different.

The materials for the blood and bones were from a Magical Being called a ‘Moon-Fae’. They are a race very similar to the tinker but they are more butterfly-like instead of ‘tinker-bell’ like.

The blood and bones were from an old Moon-Fae called Little Moon, or Mari - in her language. She’s was really old, at the end of her life as a moon fae already so she was willing to let her bones and blood be used as material for a paper puppet.

At first, Chu Meng Yi hesitated but the old woman said that if he didn’t use her blood and bones, then it would turn into a secret talisman, leading all the monsters within the two forbidden regions into chaos as they fight over it. So, Chu Meng Yi stopped hesitating and make use of the blood and bones. Of course, after he had promised that if he ever meets a Moon Fae, he would give them her soul core. The soul core of a Moon-Fae was very precious and contain the memory of that being, so Chu Meng Yi agrees to it.

Unlike the Moon-Fae, Yu Ying was created as neutral gender. This was so that when Yu Ying finds his innate self, he can decide which gender he wanted to be. Male or Female didn't matter for Chu Meng Yi at all.

Li Youran didn’t need to use his Foresight to see the future that Yu Ying will choose to be a male.

Chu Meng Yi opened his eyes as he finished meditating for the day.

“Master, I am back.” Yu Ying said as he bows his head.

Chu Meng Yi nodded. “Thank you for your hard work, Yu Ying. The farm and the breeding grounds are alright?” He asked.

“Yes, master. The White Long Ear Rabbits had finally given birth to 12 pairs of small kittens. The Purple Fox had officially mated with the White Spirit Fox. And the spiritual herbs that the White Fox clan look over have mature enough. They will be sending this patch over soon in a couple of days. The magical herbs that the Werewolves Clan had to look after had also matured. They said that they will be sending the patches in the next two days.” Yu Ying reported.

Chu Meng Yi took out his Records of Archive [Spiritual and Magical Herbs Collection] and started to write down which herbs were ready.

“Hmm. Got it. When Dong Xinyi and Hou Mu come, exchange the herbs for the spiritual and magical fruits for them. One herb for one fruit or vegetable. Tell them that the next patch will be the Moonlight Herb and the Starlight fruits. The exchange rates are one Moonlight Herb to 100 Fruits or Vegetable of Mid-Graded, one Starlight Fruits to 120 Fruits or Vegetable of Mid-Graded. The deadline is three months.” Chu Meng Yi ordered.

The White Fox Clan and the Werewolves Clan are two Magical Beings clans that had contacted Chu Meng Yi a couple of years back.

Since then, they had been exchanging goods. Chu Meng Yi had made contracts with them in regard to the herbs within their regions in exchange for the fruits and vegetables that he cultivates.

The White Fox has an innate personality that will turn them into a mad beast if not suppressed. So, the Spiritual and Magical Peach that Chu Meng Yi cultivates was like the perfect pills and food for them. They only need to eat one fruit once every three months, for 9 times, and that madness that was their innate will turned into a good thing instead. So, the White Fox Clan all looked up to Chu Meng Yi as their ‘Master’.

Chu Meng Yi didn’t even know when did he tame that race of bloodthirsty foxes. He only knows that they act very cute and adorable in his presence after the first time that he feeds them.

As for the Werewolves Clan, they are a race that changes their form during the full moon. Which happen twice a month due to this world’s moons. When they change, they all turned cannibalistic. Husband will hunt their wife, the wife will kill the children.

This was a curse of a bloodline. So, to counter that, the vegetable, Red Blood Beets, is needed. But, the Werewolves Red Blood Beets were all Low Graded Spiritual vegetables.

And not only does the impurity within the vegetable itself was high, but the purity was also very low too. So, they need a lot of it to counter their bloodline.

If by the age of 16, and they didn’t successfully drink the potion made from the Red Blood Beets, then they will be turned into werewolves for the rest of their life, unable to turn back into their true form.

Chu Meng Yi had met them 4 years ago when a baby werewolf had wandered in into his farm. Since then, the Werewolves Clan had been tamed by Chu Meng Yi into royal dogs.

Both the White Fox Clan and the Werewolves Clan lived within the two forbidden regions, as the White Fox Clan are a heavenly Beast while the Werewolves Clan are from the Demonic beast.

The Moon-Fae is a magical race, one of the many shenliang beings in this world.

    “Yes, master.”

“What about the thing that I had you do?” Chu Meng Yi asked.

“Yes, the land had been successfully purchased. Everything is ready for you, Master.” Yu Ying answered.

    Chu Meng Yi nodded.

“Any news in Clear Sea Town?” Chu Meng Yi asked.

“Yes, master. According to the rumors, an Armament Master Refiner had put forth a Rank 3 set of weapons for auction.” A level 3 set of weapons? Armament Refiner? Ah, a weaponsmith.

“What kind of weapons is it?” Is it as strong as mine? Chu Meng Yi was curious.

“According to rumor, a level 3 armament refiner’s weapons are around level 7 to 9 for you, master.” Yu Ying answered straight ahead.

    ... Level 7-9... That’s not bad.

The levels of weapons ranking in this world go from level 1 to level 12. However, for Chu Meng Yi, who follows Li Youran’s measurement, that’s was just the basic level for Spiritual Weapons.

Levels 1-9, are all within the basic level. However, for the people of this world, it was already pretty high.

“Are these weapons enhanced?” Chu Meng Yi asked. Every weapon that he had crafted was all enchanted and enhanced at least 5 times, at the minimum.

Li Youran and Yu Ying: “...”

“No, master.” Yu Ying answered after a couple of seconds of silence.

“... I see,” Disappointment clouded Chu Meng Yi’s eyes.

Aha, here he thought that there might be a weapon out there that interest him. He was currently in a slump over his weaponsmithing. So, he was hoping for motivation but guess not.

    Li Youran: “...”

    Yu Ying: “...”

“That’s fine. For now, follow this blueprint and build this building for me.” Chu Meng Yi passed a Jade Memory stick to Yu Ying.

“Yes, master,” Yu Ying bow as he vanished from his spot.

Chu Meng Yi tried not to flinch as Yu Ying vanished from his kneeling spot. Ah, he can’t just get used to it. The vanishing act.

Mah, at least, his poker face was still up.

“Hm? I’m a little hungry. Li Youran, what do you want to eat?” Chu Meng Yi asked as he rubs his stomach.

“Anything Yi’er made is good,” Li Youran said without a shame. Flirting whenever he can with Chu Meng Yi. Oddly enough, Chu Meng Yi found this feeling to be very familiar.

Chu Meng Yi totally ignored the flirting words from Li Youran as he nodded his head and vanished into the kitchen.

    Li Youran: “...”

A couple of minutes passed by and the delicious smell of food came from the kitchen.

Chu Meng Yi came out with their breakfast and settle them on the table.

The food emit steams of pure spiritual qi and mana, causing the steam to look slightly blue and slightly green.

In the past 5 years, Chu Meng Yi’s cultivation stages had already reached Earth Boundary rank 9. Now, all he has to do was train more in combats with Li Youran and condense his foundation skills into his body, mind, and spiritual awareness.

With Chu Meng Yi’s level of understanding toward martial arts from Earth, training with Li Youran wasn’t easy. Especially when the older man has eons of experiences under his belts.

This was both a blessing and a curse for Chu Meng Yi. The benefits that he got from training with Li Youran were god-sends. But so were the experiences of hell-diving and giving. The good thing about training with Li Youran was that this man was strict with every lesson and drill. The bad thing was that, now, Chu Meng Yi’s target goals will also be very high.

    This has consequences.

The first sight of that consequences came in the form of a paper puppet called Yu Ying.

Yu Ying was far too strong. Too strong, too fast, too flexible, too much stamina, too many different kinds of knowledge and experience.

This, lead to a lot of different things.

For one, when Chu Meng Yi sends Yu Ying to Clear Sea Town to be the connection for Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran, it causes the power struggle within the city to surge even more. Why? Because Yu Ying looks like he’s only 21 years old. And yet, his strength was already in the Earth Boundary realm. This speaks of power, insight, background, and mysterious connection.

True, cultivators in this world might be a little backward but that doesn’t mean that they won’t be any genius found in this world. So, with Yu Ying’s age and cultivation realms, it only speaks out one thing: Dangerous. Deeply Dangerous.

Now, all of the food that Chu Meng Yi cooked was all spiritual and magical foods.

Due to his own cultivation level, the food wasn’t that high in terms of level but comparing it to potions and pills, it was a lot more effective for cultivators. Why? Because there were no disadvantages to eating, unlike pills. Taking too many pills will cause the accumulation of impurity to condense inside your meridian and then you can forget about a breakthrough.

After eating breakfast, Chu Meng Yi went back to practicing with Li Youran.

This time, he was making Pills and Potions. By the time that he stop, the sun was already setting. And it was time for dinner already.

Li Youran stays by his side during the whole process. Not getting bored or tired at all.

Chu Meng Yi cooks their dinner, water the farms and plants, secure the parameters to make sure that no beast accidentally got into the farms, and then water the plants again using the Water Elemental spells that bring in clouds made out of spiritual qi and mana condensation before going to bed.

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran had their own bedroom but Li Youran was always sleeping with Chu Meng Yi, in his room. The first couple of times that they had slept separately, Li Youran had stayed up all night while Chu Meng Yi had trouble sleeping. Since then, they had been sleeping together even without sex. No, they usually sleep without sex.

And yes, they had sex before.

The first time that they had sex was more of an accident.

Chu Meng Yi was training within one of the forbidden grounds near their house when he came across a plant beast that specialized in illusions and aphrodisiac.

Since that beast plant was a mutated variant plant, Chu Meng Yi didn’t recognize it even after seeing it.

The fruits from that plant look exactly like a strawberry so Chu Meng Yi didn’t even suspect anything. Yes. Chu Meng Yi ate it. He didn’t feel anything right away with his body constitution but three hours later, he collapse. Making Li Youran’s heart nearly collapse too.

Due to Chu Meng Yi’s special constitution, the fruits didn’t work that well. However, since he was a virgin, the fruits were like poison to him instead. So, he collapsed. That day alone, all the living, breathing or not, beings in this world saw their lives flashed by their eyes. Why? Because of the killing intents from Li Youran. It was so dense that the whole planet shivers in fear and saw their lives flashed by their eyes. Even cultivators. No, especially cultivators.

Li Youran took Chu Meng Yi’s first time. Halfway through, Chu Meng Yi regained his consciousness and found a silently crying Li Youran over him and inside him.

For the first time in Chu Meng Yi’s life that he can remember, he panicked. Li Youran’s tears shocked him so much that he panicked. He was so panicked that he didn’t even care that Li Youran was inside him.

Seeing the utterly devastating worry loves, pain, and who knows was else in Li Youran’s eyes, along with his tears, Chu Meng Yi feels his heartbeat for the first time in a way that might have something to do with romantically love.

On that night alone, Chu Meng Yi’s body and mind were in one place with Li Youran. Their lovemaking was slow, intense, passionate, and literally causing all sorts of things over the heaven. Their house got destroyed by it and had to be rebuilt. It was that intense and passionate.

Their lovemaking cause Chu Meng Yi’s cultivation base to raise from Earth Boundary rank 1 to rank 9, all within a single hour. Meaning that his dantian would be so damn fulled and in a chaotic state. His golden stove dantian, crimson palace, and his muddy pellet were all a mess. Causing Chu Meng Yi to feel like he was in a bed of needles one second and the next in a pit of fire. His body awareness was going all over the place. Especially when Li Youran touches him. He felts too much. It overwhelmed him.

And to consolidate these loopholes, Chu Meng Yi had been training with Li Youran for the past 15 days.

It wasn’t just Chu Meng Yi’s cultivation level that rose. All of the living beings within the formation that surround their house, all got power-up, too.

The fruits trees are now taller, stronger, and have more vitality. Their consciousness turned from a 1/10 semi-conscious to a 3/5 semi-conscious. The ground itself was harder and firmer. The animals inside the breeding ground all got stronger and more perceptive towards who was their master.

This was all due to Li Youran’s aura when he was making love to Chu Meng Yi. No, it’s both of their aurae.

Li Youran’s aura during the lovemaking was very dense, dangerous, and filled with possessiveness, while Chu Meng Yi’s aura was filled with a kind of softness that isn’t softness, a hardness that isn’t hardness, a sharpness that isn’t sharpness, a darkness that isn’t dark, a light that isn’t light, and all sorts of things. The blending of Chu Meng Yi’s aura and Li Youran’s, caused the area to experience a rare phenomenon that was close to how it was when gods ascended.

It was full of Laws and Forces from the Elements that Chu Meng Yi had affinities with.

Although, this is great and all, there was still a side effect from it. Such as the fact that Chu Meng Yi’s cultivation base realm wasn’t stable due to the far too fast increase of leveling overnight. So, yes, Chu Meng Yi had to consolidate his cultivation base.

This was one big loophole that Chu Meng Yi was not looking forward to.

To consolidate that loophole, Li Youran had turned the training facility in the basement into a separate world for training purposes.

In another word, it was a Maze. That training facility was a fucking damn maze. With beasts that are far stronger compared to the beasts in this world.

Inside the Maze itself, times flows differently. Unlike Chu Meng Yi’s Interspatial Space, where Little Bee officially resides now, the Maze’s flow of time wasn’t as slow as the Interspatial Space.

In Chu Meng Yi’s Interspatial space, one day outside is one month inside, that is a full 90 days, which consist of 28 hours a day due to this world’s size. This means that for one hour outside, 2,520 hours had already passed by inside the interspatial space.

However, in the Maze, one hour outside is only 140 hours inside. This means that the times flow 4 times slower than the times outside. This had caused the training facility to be a very great place for training.

And since Chu Meng Yi’s partner was Li Youran, it didn’t take him that long to fully learn to control his new power and consolidate his cultivation bases.

He just had to stay there for a week, which was 9 days in this world and finished sparing with Li Youran.

From the beginning level of the basic to Earth Boundary levels, Chu Meng Yi consolidates his foundation skills all the way up to where he could actually touch Li Youran without him kissing the ground. Of course, this had made Li Youran excited and Chu Meng Yi’s tofu got eaten again from it.

Chu Meng Yi knew that he was very lucky. A little bit far too lucky, in fact.

Li Youran had loved Chu Meng Yi ever since the age of unknown. And he still loved him even today. So, the older man has always made sure that he won’t hurt him when they are having sex. Not even a little bit. So, the lovemaking between Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi was always so damn passionate that it nearly makes Chu Meng Yi’s heart stop a couple of times.

Chu Meng Yi will always feel so damn full afterward that he can’t even stand but Li Youran would always message him. This was because Li Youran’s size wasn’t normal. Not only that, the older man’s stamina when it comes to sex was... over the roof.

Had it not been for Chu Meng Yi’s weaker body, Li Youran would have been happy to be inside him for months. No, seriously.

And lucky for Chu Meng Yi, Li Youran have great control over his will, mentally and physically. Spiritually? Not quite since his soul would always seek out his Yi’er soul, even when they are doing nothing.

Now a day, Li Youran and Chu Meng Yi didn’t have sex much. Once every other week or so was okay with them.

After all, Chu Meng Yi had accepted the fact that Li Youran is his as he is his. Even when the feeling he's feeling right now might not be love, he knows that Li Youran is very important to him. So, Chu Meng Yi didn’t mind being Li Youran’s wife, both literally and figuratively.

He was not taking Li Youran for granted.

“Yi’er, now that you can make level 3 Meridians Pills and level 3 Qi Circulation potions, the next thing would be understanding the herbs that are used within the pills themselves. To be honest, the spiritual herbs that you used in the Meridian Pills were slightly weak, and because of that, it takes some time for the pills to form. You can also try making the other level 3 pills. The Meridians Pills is great for practicing but it lacks the probability of mutation and not really great for when you actually wanted to learn new thing.” Standing beside Chu Meng Yi was Li Youran in his ever purple and black robe, trying to mentor and advise Chu Meng Yi on which roads are best for what.

For the past three days, while Yu Ying was taking care of the tasks that his master gave him, Li Youran had been showing Chu Meng Yi how to make the level 3 pills and elixir(potion). And due to Chu Meng Yi’s Alchemy being in the F-Rank initially, for the past 5 years, he had been learning the basics of alchemy and reading about them more than actually using practical training. So, his alchemy was slightly slower to raise than the other.

As of right now, after Li Youran had deemed that Chu Meng Yi’s alchemy was worthy of being a Rank F Alchemy, the ranking for Chu Meng Yi’s skill upgrades from Alchemy (F) to Alchemy (E). This means that any pills or potions that he made would now be effective against and for people who are in the Sky Boundary realm.

Chu Meng Yi nodded as he took out his notebook that had the label [Beginning- Basic Alchemy: Level 1-3] and turned to a page that had the title “Level 3 Meridian Pills” and begin to write what he had learned. Even before Li Youran had told him that one of the herbs within the recipe was weak, Chu Meng Yi had already noticed that the pill forming procedure was slightly not right.

No, that’s not the right word to use. Chu Meng Yi felt that a part of the spell formation used on the level 3 pill recipes was a slight ‘none’ resonance while the rest of the formation had more tactical formations like models feeling to it.

Chu Meng Yi told Li Youran his feeling.

“A part of the spell was not resonating? Hmm, this recipe was from a B Ranked World where Alchemy was a big part of people’s life there. However, it would make sense that the recipes don’t feel right. As that world doesn’t have both Spiritual Qi and Mana at the same time. This recipe was a complete recipe.” Li Youran said as he recalled where that recipe came from. “Still, if you feel that this spell array wasn’t complete, then why don’t you try to see if you can complete it?” Li Youran said, having complete faith in Chu Meng Yi’s innate to do things like this.

Chu Meng Yi blinked as his finger started to tab out all the spell array’s makeup.

12 Base, 4 Foundation, 24 Lines, 32 constructors. The base was true to their intentions and was strong enough for a level 3 array spell. The foundations in the four corners are strong and flexibles, able to support up to four different kinds of magical and spiritual herbs. The 24 lines guide and help separate the waste of the herbs. Good, they connect. Ah, the 32 constructors... one of them isn’t strong enough to resonance with the rest of the constructor.

Okay, now he found the problem, all he has to do was change and strengthen the constructors. Making the 32 constructors into a formulation within the array. 8 Constructors to the North, 8 to the South, 8 to the East, and the last 8 to the West. Done.

Now, let’s see if this changes anything.

Li Youran: “...” He was right, Yi’er really did fix the formulation of the spell array in a blink of an eye.

The herbs for the recipes called for 3 magic herbs and one spiritual herb.

One Red Magic Herb, One Blood Vein Herb, and One Serpent Flower. The spiritual herb is the Bone Leaf herb.

    Ratio: 0.20: 0.15: 0.30: 0.25.

Ah, cannot forget the fusing agents. A beast core, any of the four-element core are fine, the magic water, a bottle of acidic alcohol. And done. The fusing agent is good to go.

Now, all that’s left is to drench these herbs, separate the impurity of the herbs, and start the refining process.

Oh? So, that was the cause.

Ten minutes later, 10 bright red pills came out of the Magical and Spiritual Pill furnace.

    Chu Meng Yi: “...”

Li Youran’s eyes soften and amusement flickers in it. Ah, he wasn’t surprised that this was the case. But, his Yi’er got surprised from it.

Before, he can only get 8-9 pills out of a patch only. And, that patch doesn’t have Pure Pills like the ones in Yi’er’s hand.

Li Youran can see the glimmering look within Chu Meng Yi’s expressionless face. Ah, so adorable.

Truly, his wife is so damn adorable!

There was no need to be said that Li Youran’s brain need to be looked into. His brain has been like that ever since he meet Chu Meng Yi way back when he was still a mortal, so it is a lost cause.

“A patch of Pure Pills... Li Youran, did I do something wrong?” Chu Meng Yi tilted his head as he expressionlessly looked at his so-called ‘husband’.

“No, Yi’er. You didn’t do anything wrong. The ratio of you successfully refining a Pure Pill was already very high and since you fix the formula for the spell array, that successful chance only increases that chance of getting Pure Pills. Still, this is a good thing so why are you so confused?” Li Youran asked as he softly pulled Chu Meng Yi into his arm, taking any chances that he has to hold his beloved.

“... Isn’t it a little too high?” Chu Meng Yi closed his hand over the bright red pills and send the pills into his Inventory. He lean into Li Youran and relaxed slightly into the older man’s arm, totally getting used to the level of contact that they had daily.

“No,” There was no hesitation within Li Youran’s voice. He needs no hesitation when his Yi’er’s questions are things like doubting himself. Yi’er does not need to doubt himself when it comes to crafting and creation.

After all, Yi’er didn’t create the Infinity Hall out of doubt.

“You’re understanding of the Laws and Forces behind the Dao of Alchemy wasn’t high due to your innate spirit roots. However, your soul’s strength was abnormally high, causing your soul innate to strengthen, which was what is affecting your control of fire during the Alchemy Processes. Do you remember when I told you that you had stayed in the Hall of Infinity for nearly 200 years? Every second that you have stays there will only enhance the strength of your soul. Not to mention, you have my breath within you. Yi’er, you had practiced over and over again on your control over your spiritual qi. This only makes it, even more, easier for you to control your spiritual fire.” Li Youran replied back.

“Oh.” So, it was like that. Wait, wouldn’t that mean that whenever Li Youran kiss me, my soul strength would increase?

“Yes, it will.” Li Youran’s voice answered from behind Chu Meng Yi. His voice has a slight fondness tone to it. He said that because Li Youran has no intention to stop kissing his Yi’er just because of so.

Chu Meng Yi blink. The strength of a soul was drastically hard to influence and strengthen if you aren’t born with it. Chu Meng Yi’s soul was a ‘fragment’ of his original soul but was it so damn pure in limitation that it was so easily influenced by those that he trusted.

This was why just by breathing into him, Li Youran had been able to slowly change and increase the strength of Chu Meng Yi’s soul. Not only that, Chu Meng Yi’s mentality strength was abnormally high too, causing him to stay within the Hall of Infinity for years, resulting in his soul being purified over and over again.

For Chu Meng Yi, Li Youran’s breathe was like a pool of Soul Spring, strengthening his soul every second of the day.

This was why so far, Chu Meng Yi hasn’t actually experienced what a bottleneck was like when it comes to cultivation, much to his disappointment since he does want to experience what’s it like to be stuck in a bottleneck. He wants to experience it so that he could write about it better.

Well... Fine. Chu Meng Yi sighs internally before relaxing into Li Youran’s chest. There is this warm feeling within his being that speaks of his contentment with being together with Li Youran like this. He doesn’t mind much about the kisses, hugs, and actions from Li Youran. Even though he knew that his feeling didn’t love, yet. He still likes Li Youran enough that his body relaxes him like this.

Feeling the small sigh of relaxation from Chu Meng Yi, Li Youran holds the younger male even tighter yet softer at the same time. He anticipates that if Yi’er keeps going into trance like that whenever he crafts or makes pills, then it won’t be long before he reaches the standard for a Grandmaster Pill Refiner in this world. Actually, at this rate, it would only take another 20 to 25 years for Chu Meng Yi.

They stay like that for a couple of minutes, letting Chu Meng Yi scan the internal makeup of the Meridian Pills that he made. Once the pills were inside his Inventory, he can analyze the internal constitution of the pills for a better understanding of it.

Due to the pills being Pure, 100%, pure pills, the internal composition of the pill was very active like it was alive.

Chu Meng Yi was fascinated with the activity within the pills. It’s like watching a pool full of goldfish in the middle of a day fighting over food and mates.

Afterward, Chu Meng Yi continues to make more Meridian Pills, trying to perfect his succeeding rates to 100% Pureness Perfection. Soon, the pills that Chu Meng Yi refined started to let out streams of blue and green mist, causing Li Youran to hold his breath in both surprise and shock.

Li Youran: This is Yi’er first world right? How come Yi’er started to regain his control of Pill Creation already? This... was too fast even for Yi’er.

A question look flickers across Li Youran’s eyes for a split second before it vanished.

Li Youran took one look at Chu Meng Yi’s face and his eyes widened.

A small drop of tears drops from his eyes, unnoticed by him.

Chu Meng Yi’s eyes had turned dark purple. His hair had turned slightly purple, and his aura had changed slightly into a maturer aura.

Chu Meng Yi’s eyes flicked to his and a small smile graced the younger man’s face before a soft voice vibrated across the room.

“Li’er, what and why are you crying for?” The voice asked, filled with tenderness and fondness that cause Li Youran’s chest to tighten painfully.

“Yi’er...” Li Youran whispered, disbelief clouding his voice.

Chu Meng Yi smiles tenderly at Li Youran, “Don’t worry, Li’er. With my current body, my soul and spirits aren’t just strong enough yet. The memories are just starting to consolidate into a spiritual form so that I can absorb them better. For now, just stay with me and my memories will naturally come back. It might take a long time but it will come back,” He said with a soft smile on his face as he lean forward to kiss the older man’s face and wipe off the teardrop. Li Youran quickly kissed him back when he noticed that the aura is dimming.

Chu Meng Yi smile as he closed his eyes and turned his attention back to making more pills.

“Hmm? What just happen?” Chu Meng Yi asked dazedly as he blink with a look in his eyes that look like he was going to cry.

“Yi’er? What’s wrong?” Li Youran asked, completely calm now. Not a trace of tears was left.

“For some reason, I feel weird. Like I was in a dream for a long time.” Chu Meng Yi replied back with a confused look in his eyes.

Li Youran was about to say something but then he blinked again at the light smile on Yi’er expressionless face.

“Oh well. I guess the timing isn’t right yet.” Said Chu Meng Yi as he carelessly went back to practicing making more pills.

Li Youran: “...” Yi’er, aren’t you too carefree? Ah, it's been a while since Yi’er laziness stage came through. For it to hit now of all times... Well, as long as Yi’er said so. This just makes me want to spoil him more!

The rest of the time was spent making the other level 3 pills.

After making the pill, Chu Meng Yi was always enchanting and enhancing the pills with fortification array spells.

Causing the already pure and powerful pills to be even more precious.

Chu Meng Yi even wanted to have the pills go through the Infusion Process, which will increase the duration that the pills could stay effective for, but seeing that his own level wasn’t that high yet, he didn’t do it.

Instead, he focuses on getting more familiar with the herbs that are used in each recipe, understanding the core of the pills, and getting his foundation in Alchemistry stronger.

He tries and successfully makes the other level 3 Spiritual Root Vein Pill, a level 3 pill that can help a mortal increase the purity of their natural-born spiritual roots by one rank, with a 100% chance for Pure Pills.

After that, Chu Meng Yi stopped. He could have continued on making more pills but he was feeling lazy, so he didn’t.

He laze around the house, drinking and enjoying the wind while Li Youran was beside him, at every second.

Chu Meng Yi wasn’t an alcoholic so all the wine that he drank was low in alcoholic percentage, even in spiritual and magical level. Not only that, the wines were slightly sweet and very smooth to the tongue, causing him to be very relaxing and not intoxicated afterward.

When Yu Ying came back after a whole week of completing his tasks, he found his Master and His Holiness relaxing with each other over a couple of jars of spiritual wines.

He smiles softly. “Master, I am back.” Yu Ying kneels on one knee and bows in greeting. A surge of soft power scans over Yu Ying, trying to see if he needs some rest. Yu Ying was feeling both grateful and pleased by his Master’s worries over his health, even though, as a Paper Puppet, he doesn’t get sick unless he surged underwater for a long time.

Unless something happens to his Magic Core and Magic Circuits, or if he happens to be underwater for too long, then there’s no way that any sickness would harm him. Much fewer stresses.

Still, His Master’s caress was something that he made he feels both grateful for and pleased by it. This was a sign that his Master wasn’t a jerk like the majority of the cultivators that he met in Clear Sea Town.

According to His Holiness, this world was more of a Western Fantasy with a slight Eastern xuanhuan influence, so not all cultivators are about faces and reputation. But nonetheless, Yu Ying had found himself feeling really frustrated with the cultivators that he found in Clear Sea Town so far.

With all the cultivators looking forward to connecting and flavors all the time, you can say that Yu Ying was tired of being the target of so many cultivators.

Why? Because Yu Ying was a very strong cultivator.

And strong cultivators are lookup to anywhere.

Not only that, Yu Ying was going around hinting to all of the cultivators and mortal alike- that his Master was opening a store and restaurant in the building that he had built, according to the blueprint his Master had given him.

Yu Ying was so glad that he’s home with his Master and His Holiness. He didn’t have to feel that slightly repulsive aura that reeks of hidden agenda now.

Instead, he’s in his Master’s calming presence.

Now that he finished building the ‘building’ that his Master had told him to and had already scouted out at least 50 kids for him, he can finally stay home with them.

Well, at least until his Master decided to officially open the store and restaurant. By then, Yu Ying would have already long rest to his fullest.

“Great work, Yu Ying. Come over here and relax,” His Master lazily wave a small cup of wine in his hand from where he was leaning against His Holiness.

“Yes, Master.” Yu Ying bow as he sits in a seiza position.

Chu Meng Yi:”...” When did he learn to do that? I didn’t teach him to sit like that. I had only been sitting in the lotus position! I haven’t even tried sitting in seiza ever since I came to this world, so how did Yu Ying learn to sit like that? Was it from Mari? The Moon-Fae that’s made up of Yu Ying’s core and mana circuits.

So, that means that there are Japanese influences in this world too! No, wait. Not Japanese influences. Eastern cultural influence!

“Master, I had successfully built the building that you want me to. I had also finished scouting out 50 kids that meet your standard.” Yu Ying said as he bow his head.

“Okay,” Chu Meng Yi nodded lazily.

“Good job, Yu Ying.” Chu Meng Yi said as he pass a porcelain wine cup toward Yu Ying.

Yu Ying accepted the cup with a small bow as he accepted the coming jar of wine from Li Youran.

They stay like that for a while.

Actually, had it not been for Chu Meng Yi falling asleep, they would have lazed around like that for another week. But because Chu Meng Yi fell asleep within Li Youran’s arm, Li Youran took him to bed. So, Yu Ying could finally relax by himself.

When Chu Meng Yi woke up the next morning, he was still within Li Youran’s arm.

“Aren’t your arms tired?” Chu Meng Yi asked Li Youran as he set up and stretches.

“No,” Li Youran simply answered with no hesitation and a hint of fondness within his voice.

“Alright.” Chu Meng Yi nodded as he got up and went to do his morning routine. Take a quick shower, brushes his teeth, wash his face, brushes his hair and tie them, put away his PJ- wait a minute, since when did I put my PJ on?! - and do the laundry.

Chu Meng Yi: “...” Since when did I turn into a full-time housewife?

After breakfast, Chu Meng Yi went to grab the interspatial bags that have the fruits, vegetables, and meats that he will be selling. And no, it’s not just spiritual and magical products that Chu Meng Yi takes to sell. There are also normal fruits and vegetables, too.

When he came out of the basement storage floor, Li Youran and Yu Ying had already finished preparing the flying mounts for them.

The flying mounts were made with stone and it was a type of Flying Talisman. Except that theirs are made using alchemy, seal making, talisman making, and White-Smithing. Meaning, these mounts are Magical and Spiritual Artifacts that can do both defense and offense.

Although they are only a ranked 4 Artifacts, they were the subjects of every cultivator dream out there!

Chu Meng Yi didn’t know that but Yu Ying knows it because he was gathering data and information for his Master in the Auction House in Clear Sea Town.

A Ranked 2 Artifacts was already causing all sorts of fights in the Auction, if the cultivators in Clear Sea knew that Chu Meng Yi can take out ranked artifacts like this on a whim, they would have choked on their own blood.

Yu Ying respectfully keeps his thoughts off his face.

The flying mount, called Golden Wind, was much faster than the flying carriage that Zheng Yun had flown them in from before.

Chu Meng Yi hasn’t been to Clear Sea Town in 3 years, so he didn’t know if anything about the lands has changed but he does know that he won’t care for it.

The last time that he was there, the smell from the citizens was so bad that it cause him to nearly kneel over. So, he could only stay long enough to sell the pelts, hides, and meats that he has and buy enough salts, sugars, and crystal Peanou(the MSG seasoning powder of this world) to last for 10 years. He did not want to go back there anytime soon.

Even though the majority of the cultivators in this world were Spirit Qi practitioners, it seems like none of them knew how to use Spiritual Tools to help out the mortal citizens at all. So, the mortal citizens in Clear Sea Town would always stink really badly. Why? Because they only bathe once a week. Right. They only wash once every 9 fucking damn days!

For Chu Meng Yi, whose nose was so sensitive due to his cultivations manual, you can say that it was like he was being placed in garbages dumps that have more spoils from nature than the whole world combined.

It was no wonder that he would send Yu Ying there instead, as Yu Ying can turn on and off his senses of smell.

On the way, Chu Meng Yi would practice his Wind Elemental magic on the beasts that they passed by. Trying to find even more ways to save mana and perfects his control of using Wind Magic within his level of understanding.

The nature of Wind Magic itself was Freedom. And Chu Meng Yi was never one to deny himself of freedom. So, Wind Magic came easily to him.

Yu Ying had to gather all the corpses/carcasses of beasts that his Master killed for practice, though.

While Li Youran was driving the flying mount, Chu Meng Yi would practice dismantling the beasts and collecting everything that he could from them. Blood, bones, meats, muscles, tissues, ligaments. Everything. Even the furs.

Li Youran intentionally slows down the traveling so that Chu Meng Yi could have more time to perfect his control.

By the time that they got to Clear Sea Town, it was near midday already. The clock had just stroke right at 14:00 hours in midday when the flying mounts descended down a couple of yards away from the gate. Li Youran got off first as he held out his hand for Chu Meng Yi.

Chu Meng Yi wasn’t shy so he accepted Li Youran’s hand, not caring at all that they are the center of attention.

With Li Youran’s appearance and Yu Ying’s identity, it was impossible to not get attention so Chu Meng Yi didn’t bother hiding his presence.

By the time that Chu Meng Yi got to the store that he told Yu Ying to build, a long line of people was trailing behind them with a daze, amazed, and lovestruck expressions on their faces.

From both genders of the spectrum, there was a countless amount of youngsters following the three practitioners. There was even a little girl not even 6 years old following them!

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran ignored those people while Yu Ying’s face turned slightly annoyed.

While Chu Meng Yi tried his best to ignore the smell from the people that followed them has, Yu Ying was trying his best to not lose his temper due to the sounds of screaming from the girls.

Chu Meng Yi notice that this was the first time that Yu Ying encounter situations like this. But the question was, was it like this every time that he came here? If yes, then Chu Meng Yi understands why every time he came home, he always looks relieved.

The store itself was a huge commercial store like how Walmar* and Targe* are on modern earth. However, the way how the store was built was different. Instead of a commercial department store type of building, this building that Chu Meng Yi had Yu Ying built was a mix of an apartment complex and a Mall-style store.

    There are 12 floors total.

The first floor was the informational floor.

It has 250 Token Machines lined up all over the first floor that will dispense the tokens for the item of the customer’s desire. Exactly like how a ticket vending machine in ramen shops is like. That way, not only would there be no haggling, there will also be no cheating involved.

Two hundreds of the machines are for dispensing normal tokens for the normal products. While the rest of the fifty machines are for Spiritual and Magical products.

Asides from token machines, there are also three large staircases from the first floor.

One leads to the basement, while the other to the second floor and third floors.

The one leading to the basement had the words that said, “Public Spring Bathing Pools”. While the other two have words that said, “Second Floor Store this way,” and “Third Floor Store this way”.

The basement has an additional five levels.

The first two levels are for the general public. Which means that it is open to the public for a small price.

The third to fifth levels are for members only.

The second floor of this store was for selling the general normal fruits, vegetables, meats, and other products. This floor was for the mortal citizens of this world.

While the third floor sells items and products that are between the spiritual and magical levels and normal mortal levels. The produces on these floors are very expensive to the general, mortal, public.

The fourth floor was the restaurant that served only mortal food and drink but only to the memberships who are above a certain rank.

Starting from the fifth floor, it would start selling only spiritual and magical products. The fifth and sixth floors sell rank 1 products. The seventh floor sells rank 2 products and the Eighth floor sells only rank 3 products.

On the ninth floor, a restaurant that would only open to practitioners of a certain rank and above would be open there. All the prices will be in immortal currency only. Mortal currency cannot be used on this floor.

The tenth floor was for storage purposes only.

The eleventh floor was for the worker’s sleeping quarters and resting rooms.

On the twelfth floor were Chu Meng Yi, Li Youran, and Yu Ying’s rooms. It is a restricted floor filled with high-ranked formations and a magic array. Unless someone was stronger than Li Youran then it is impossible to pass by into this floor.

Afterall, it wasn’t like this building was normal, even in cultivation standards.

No, this whole building/complex was a huge Talisman-and-Magical-Tool.

Not only was this whole building a freaking damn national level Talisman, the building itself was also a Magical Tool, too.

Chu Meng Yi look at the huge, magnificent, grand, elegant, and totally out-of-place building in front of him and he nodded satisfied.

“Good job, Yu Ying.” Chu Meng Yi compliments the silent paper puppet behind him.

A small smile grace Yu Ying’s natural cold face, causing both males and females alike to faint in happiness.

Chu Meng Yi and Li Youran: “...”

Yu Ying's smile vanished so fast that it looked surreal. A tick appeared on his forehead and his aura surge dangerously.

Chu Meng Yi pretended to not see this as he and Li Youran walked into the store. Yu Ying’s eyes narrowed slightly as he clenched his fist to calm down his temper before following them inside.

Since the store wasn’t officially open yet, no one was able to go inside aside from the three of them. So, for now, Yu Ying was safe from those hordes of vixens and animals.

Inside, the whole store was empty since Chu Meng Yi only had Yu Ying build the building itself and not its anterior designs.

Chu Meng Yi took out one of the interspatial pouches/bags that had the Token Machines, which was really another Magical and Spiritual Talisman that corresponds with the whole building, and started to place them on the first floor.

Next, he and Li Youran went to the second floor and installed the rows of stone shelves that had literally 99 magic arrays on each shelf. The rows shine a bit as mana emitted from the magic arrays, causing it to look profound.

He continues to place more wood and stone counters for the fruits, vegetables, and meats before checking their position with his consciousness.

Chu Meng Yi made sure to place the wood and stone shelves in a pattern. This cause the whole second floor to shine as the formation array came alive from the corresponding array within the magic array.

Each stair from the first floor lead to a large hallway that divided the floors into five sectors, so there was no need to worry about space and traffic within the store. Each hallway can occupy up to five lines of people each, making the trafficking people a non-existence problem.

Aside from placing the shelves and counters inside the store, Chu Meng Yi had also made sure that there are enough bamboo baskets for the customer.

The customers only need to pay a couple of copper coins for each basket as rental fees.

There’s also wheel-carts for larger shopping shopper. The rental fees are more expensive for the larger carts compared to smaller carts but this has its own benefits and advantage too.

He continues to do the same for the rest of the floors that will be selling products and items.

On the fourth floor, the restaurant was more or less similar to a restaurant mixed drinking bar. On the side of the wall, it has wooden plates that listed out the menu along with a number on each plate. Next to the frame which divided the hallway from the restaurant, there were four token machines. All you need to do was see which dish you want and input it into the token machine. After that, someone will show you to your seats and bring the dishes that you order to your table.

As for the members who had tokens already, they just need to give them to the worker and take a seat. The worker will naturally bring them the food/products which the token had stated.

For the fourth-floor restaurant, all the tokens are Red in color while the ninth-floor restaurant’s Tokens are Blue.

Red Token is for normal members who are below a certain rank. Blue Token is for VIP Members who are above a certain rank. Green Token is for VVIP that have a certain strength and are above the Blue Token’s ranks. Dark Gold Token is for Cultivator who had reached a certain stage, and they can only be 100 VVVIP in ten years.

The last color of Token is Purple Token, which has only 10 spots. Those that got the token are genuine geniuses.

To be a member of this store, which was called [Little Bee’s Shop, Restaurant, and Spring Bath-House], there is a certain price that you must pay.

The information about it is on the first floor.

“Yi’er, are you sure that you wanted to open a public bathhouse in this building?” Li Youran asked as he place his arms around Chu Meng Yi’s waist as they continue on to the eleventh floor.

“It’s fine. It’s better than having all the citizens who comes to buy things smell like garbage.” Chu Meng Yi said as he finished placing the bamboo basket on the designated place.

“Alright. If that’s what you want,” Li Youran didn’t argue with Chu Meng Yi on that front.

After all, the only reason why he asked was to confirm his own finding.

The crowd outside of the store just continue on getting larger and bigger once news of Yu Ying’s reappearance came out along with words of two celestial-like males, who are better looking than Yu Ying, came out.

The streets started to fill with people of all ages and gender. Girls whispered from one to another with their faces flush and their eyes full of stars. Some males even have the same looks of lovesickness. And yet, the most noticeable thing wasn’t the fact that the crowd all look utterly love-sick, but rather the fact that groups of flying cultivators started to arrive one after another.

“Oh my god! The Gold Knight School! What are they doing here?” One of the well-informed mortals whispered out loud with his face pale in both fear and excitement.

“There’s also the Shui Clan’s top martial artists too!”

“Wait, isn’t that the Huo Clan’s elders?!”

“Wait a second, look over there, isn’t that the Purple Sea Sect’s top elders and disciples? Why are they here?”

All sorts of exclamation came out.

Anyone with eyes can see that not only does the top 10 most influential Clans within this town was here, even all the small to large and well-known sect was also presented here.

The mortals would only watch as more and more cultivators started to show up.

First was from the City Lord’s group, then the other top 10 clans, then the sect, and lastly, loose cultivators started to show up in ragged robes with large and menacing weapons on themselves.

Not only that, none of the clans started a fight or argument at all.

You must know that the top 10 clans in this city are more likely to be enemy-kills-on-sight than turning-into-friend-like of relationships.

Their dog-blood history was well known by the people who lived here.

The normal members from each clan would fight within school, in tournaments, and within the auction house. While the cultivator members would fight within the higher sect, trying to best one another. It was never a secret that the 10 clans within Clear Sea Town were more or less blood-thirsty dogs and cats who will never get along with one another.

On the surface, some of the clans are connected through marriage but it was only on the surface. Beneath it all, it's all a cold war.

One of the elders from the Huo clan, Huo Shengle, is an old man with white beards and piercing eyes. His face has a small scarce on the right side while his left hair had a white stroke of hair. Telling people that he was the First Elder of the Huo Clan. He wore a clean blue robe with a black slash over his waist. On his back was a large weapon of some kind in a case.

According to rumor, it was a spiritual weapon of rank 3. A qin instrument is a spiritual weapon.

As one of the elders with very good eyesight, he can see the large wooden boards with writing on them.

The red wooden board has the Rule & ethics that anyone must respect and comply with if they wanted to shop within the store. The green wooden board has the opening hours for the mortal store and hot spring. Below that green wooden board was a silverish greenish color, which tells the public price for the public hot-spring. And then below that board was another 5 more wooden boards, only the print was a lot smaller and the feeling from it was slightly profound.

Huo Shengle’s eyebrows raise with curiosity as he sent his spiritual awareness to read it.

Huo Shengle read out to his family members. However, he wasn’t loud at all, and yet, his voice seems to vibrate across to everyone within a certain range of the door.

To the other side of those wooden boards, he also read out the instructions on how to use the Token Machines. Including the warning on what was already being in place within the stores and restaurant.

Murmurs would hear from all over. This was the first time that the people of this world had ever seen such a thing.

But then, they notice that all the cultivators' practitioners straightened their backs and had determination glints within their eyes and face, accepting the rules of the store with knowledge and promise on their lips. All of the non-practitioners were shocked.

What is this? Had the three sunrises from the North?

Why is every one of them acting so weird? Are they really in a truce? Really?

Everyone doubted their eyes and rack their brains to think of the reasons why aren’t they all killing each other or belittling each other now. However, no matter how much they think, they couldn’t come up with the real reason why and leave it like that.

They could only sketch their heads in confusion. Curiosity was eating away their guts and mind but they also value their lives so they didn’t ask. After all, curiosity kills the cat wasn’t just a phrase in this world.

Next, someone from the Liu Clan also read out the wooden boards that are closest to their side with a tone full of excitement.

It says [Second & Third Floor Store Price]:

“For normal, mortal, products, it cost from 10 copper coins each to 15 copper coins, depending on the size of the product or the kind. Whereas spiritual and or magical products cost differently. It depends on the grade of the products, the side effect, and the rank of purity within the products.”

“For example, the Low Graded Apple, which has around 15% spiritual qi and 10% mana inside the apple, it will cost 5 Low-Grade Jingshi, each. The rest of the apple itself is normal and ordinary. There is no impurity but there are also no more benefits. The taste was slightly more intensified compared to normal apple.”

That someone from the Liu swallowed his saliva as he wipe off his sweats on his face.

“For the Mid-Graded Apple, which has 25% spiritual qi and 30% mana inside, it cost 12 Low-Grade Jingshi, each. Same benefits and side effects here, with no impurity. The tastes are smoother and sweeter.

“For High Graded Apple, which has 50% spiritual qi and 40% mana inside, it would cost 50 Low-Grade Jingshi, each. At this grade, the tastes are more smooth, denser, and more intense. It was enough to cause someone to go into a food coma from just one bite.”

The man’s breathing continue to climb, totally looking like his heart was going to give out.

“As for the Pure Graded Apple, which has 60% spiritual qi and 40% mana inside, it cost 60 Low-Grade Jingshi, each. The taste of the apple is very smooth, so smooth that it will melt inside your mouth, and the intensity of spiritual qi inside it are warm and intense. It is like bathing your whole body inside a hot spring made out of spiritual water.”

“The rest of the spiritual and magical fruits taste in similar aspects. If the fruits or vegetable size was larger than normal, then the price might increase. If the size was smaller than normal, then the price are lower. That will also depend on the grade of spiritual and magical inside the fruits and vegetables itself.”

Someone curse in the background while others’ jaws were nearly wiping the earthen ground with their tongues.

While the Liu people were reading that, suddenly, the door was opened and a large wooden board appeared on the windows to the sides of the door, with a big [OPEN] on it. Shocked, everyone froze for a couple of minutes.

However, the crowd didn’t stay shocked for long. As the people from the top families and sects quickly form three lines to get in, many normal people who bought money also copy them.

When the people got inside, they were shocked silly to see 12 large wooden desks with a big front that says [Informational Desk], [Register Desk], [Token Exchange Desk], [Mission Exchange Desk], [Currency Exchange Desk], [Hot Spring Token Desk], and [Membership Only Desk].

Behind those desks, was three large stairs. One leads down to the basement while the other two lead to the second and third floor respectively.

And then, what truly grabbed their attention was rows of Blue and Red Talisman(machine) that had the words [Token Machine] in bright gold. The Red Token machine was the largest while the Blue Token machine look more profound and mysterious.

    Someone gasped loudly.

“Mei-Mei, quickly, pinch me. I must be dreaming!” Someone asked with a loud whisper.

    “Ouch! I’m not dreaming!”

“Who open this store? Was it a god?” Someone murmured with tears in their eyes.

“There’s no way a god would come to this part of the world where nothing is at!” Someone shouted emotionally back.

“B-but, if they aren’t god then what are they? No one care enough to look after this rural town in the middle of nowhere!” That particular person answered back with tears in his or her eyes. Their voice shooked with emotions, causing it hard to hear if the person was a woman or a man.

Soon enough, a little girl of about 10 years with a normal citizen complex and clothing braved herself and went toward the Red Token Machine.

She can’t read, write, but she was smart enough to notice the sign on the machine, telling her to press on a certain Red Button. Once she pressed it, a soft somewhat machine voice voiced out the instruction on how to use the machine.

The little girl took out 1 silver coin, her whole month’s allowance, and put it into the small hole that the machine told her to. She then pressed the button for the tokens that she had her eyes on.

One silvers coin was the equivalent of 100 Copper Coins, so she chose five apples, five pears, five oranges, and 10 kilograms of White Rabbit meats, along with 4 ounces of spices that had herbal properties.

She even bought the recipe for making the fruit-herbal porridge from the machine for 15 copper.

She took the token and went to the second floor, completely ignoring all the eyes on her. She doesn’t have the time or hesitation to wait for other people.

She looks at the number carved on the Token and exchanges them by following the direction that the token machine had taught her. Due to not having any bag to carry the item, the girl’s eyesight was directed to the door, where a lot of stacks of bamboo baskets were there.

She then proceeds to buy one for 2 copper coins each. It was extremely cheap so she happily bought two. The machine had already told her that the bamboo basket will be returned back to the store once she’s finished with it. So, she didn’t need to worry about coming back to return the bamboo baskets.

She notice that something was different once she place the products that she exchange for into the bamboo basket. However, as a normal mortal, there was no way that she would know what was different.

She doesn’t know it, but that doesn’t mean that the cultivators watching her don’t.

They all gasped, again. This time, their eyes bulged out like fishes.

“What the fuck?! Even the fucking damn bamboo basket was an enchanted item?!” Someone curses loudly.

The girl didn’t care nor does she have the time to care. She left the store just like that, under hundreds of people’s eyesight.

What happened next was a mix of chaos, awes, frustration, happiness, sadness, excitement, and disappointment.

Luckily, the chaos was only because there wasn’t enough Token Machine for everyone so they have to line up.

The awes came from how secure and convenient the token machines were. The frustration was the fact that there’s a limit amount to what each person can buy. Especially for cultivators.

For them, it was based on strength and a foundational base. The second that someone touches the blue token machines, it had automatically read the person’s blood veins, the cultivation level, the potential, the kind of martial arts the body practice, and if their soul is clean.

Depending on the reading, someone can buy from 10 tokens to 50 tokens at a time. However, who in this part of the world would have enough data(worth) to actually get more than 10 tokens? Only a couple of elders from the clans and sects.

Chu Meng Yi, who was looking at the “corresponding” tablet that showed the history, reading charts from each person, and how clean their souls are. Not only that, it even had their fucking damn bloodline history. Be it martial arts history, spiritual technique history, or mutated whatever-it was history within the bloodline, it shows it all.

Had they known that just by touching the machine, this much of their information was gathered, they would have thrown up blood in anger and fear.

Chu Meng Yi then upgrades those data into the stone shelves that sell technique, martial manual, and spells on the cultivation level floors. This will restrict not only those that aren’t able to learn the technique, but it would also stop thieves.

After all, once you hit the 5th floor, there are requirements that you must fulfill before you can buy any of the things on that floor and above.

Why else do you think that all those Desks on the first floor was for?

The fact that there were five informational desks was normal since a lot of people will be coming and going in and out of the store. However, what does the registration desk have to do with anything? What about the Token Exchange Desk? Mission Exchange Desk? Currency Exchange Desk? The Hot spring Token Desk was self-explanatory, along with the Membership Only Desk, but what about the rest?

That’s because certain things within the fifth floor and above floor will require those desks/counters.

For example, to buy one of the level 2 Protection hairpins on the fifth floor, called “Tears of Phoenix”, you are required to collect herbs called the “Greenstyle Gem” herb.

It is a level 2 herb that is sold within the town for 5 Low-Grade Jingshi per stem. And the mission required 10 Greenstyle Gem. Not only that, the hairpin cost 250 Low-Grade Jingshi. That’s 300 Low-Grade Jingshi total.

It was pretty cheap for a level 2 Talisman. However, don’t think that this was an easy quest or mission.

No, it was a very dangerous mission for some people.

The Greenstyle Gem herb was a hallucination herb that attack the mind and soul, using the cultivator’s own greed, desire, and mindset. If your mind and will aren’t strong enough, then getting the Greenstyle Gem herb was just a nightmare waiting to come true.

Why was the mission so dangerous? Because Green Tear of Phoenix was a Talisman that can influence the soul-strength, the spiritual qi intake, and the magical control of the user.

Having the Green Tear of Phoenix on your head was like a game character taking the Experience Gain Pill that will multiply the experience gained on that character.

Even though the Green Tears of Phoenix can only be used for one hour a day, it was still a rarity that causes countless cultivators to seek it.

And yes, the mission had a deadline upon accepting it. You are given a three days deadline upon accepting the mission.

For this, the customers must seek the Mission Desk for the mission itself. And yes, the mission cost 2 Silver Coin, in mortal currency.

Chu Meng Yi continues to update the stores with more and more data.

Li Youran lied behind Chu Meng Yi with his arms around his waist and his head on his other hand, supporting it. He watches as Chu Meng Yi used Talisman, Formation, Array, Enchantment, Engravement, and Magic Circuits to create a semi-wireless-corresponding data collecting building.

Li Youran didn’t really care that Chu Meng Yi was invading the people’s privacy with this. What is privacy if you cannot protect it?

This is a dogs-eat-dogs world, afterall.

Only the strong survive. If collecting this data and information can help these fools get stronger then Li Youran didn’t see why he should stop his wife.

Besides, he likes seeing a concentrating Chu Meng Yi. He looks very adorable.

“Oh?” Chu Meng Yi’s eyebrows raised with interest.

“What is it, Yi’er?” Li Youran sits up from behind Chu Meng Yi as he wraps his arms around Chu Meng Yi’s waist.

“There’s someone with the bloodline of an ancient dragonkin. Although, it is very light.” Chu Meng Yi was surprised that there was someone who have an ancient bloodline in this part of the continent. Shouldn’t people with that bloodline be in the center of the continent? Where the capital of the Kingdom is located at.

“Hm. Weakling,” Li Youran said without caring as he hold onto Chu Meng Yi.

Why would Yi’er pay attention to people like that? If he has the time to pay attention to them, then, he should pay more attention to him.

“Interesting.” Chu Meng Yi ignored Li Youran and pull up a Talisman that looked like a mirror, only it was in the shape of a flower.

“Oh? A mortal human? Hm. Orphan, too. Oh? The kid’s only 12 years old? What’s this? Isn’t this little guy one of the Male Leads of this world?” Chu Meng Yi was an author through and through, so he was able to recognize the internal charm, intelligence, and wisdom that this little boy will have in the future.

    Li Youran: “...”

“Yu Ying, go ask that boy for his name. And see if he wanted to work for me,” Chu Meng Yi commanded with a somewhat devilish glint inside his eyes.

The Male Leads of the world. The ones that are the trigger for world evolution and development.

“Yes, Master.” Yu Ying answered as he vanished from his spot.

A couple of minutes later, Yu Ying returned with a small boy.

    Chu Meng Yi’s eyebrows twitched.

The boy looked like his 8 years old. But, the bone reading said that this boy was 12 years old.

This kid... how was he still alive? Was this the fate of this world’s Male Leads?

Chu Meng Yi exchanges look with Li Youran.

“This world is only that much, Yi’er.” Was Li Youran’s excuse, much to the boy’s and Yu Ying’s confusion.

    Chu Meng Yi: “...”

The boy and Yu Ying: “???”

“Alright.” After a couple of seconds of pausing, Chu Meng Yi sighed out loud as he lead back toward Li Youran’s chest. Not caring at all that there’s a small child here and his action might have more influences than not.

“I had Yu Ying called you here to see if you want to work for me. I will provide you with the environment, help mentor you, teach you the seven arts of survival, and a safe home. However, if you agree, then you must be royal, trustee, have a strong will, and not give up no matter how tough things get. More importantly, you have to keep your mind and soul clean. Can you do that?” Chu Meng Yi lazily asked, even though his eye had unknowingly hardened and his expressionless face had turned slightly colder.

Chu Meng Yi didn’t bother telling the boy about spirit roots and whatnot since he really doesn’t care less. Especially when what he will teach this kid will not need a strong spirit root, it won’t even care if he's a demon or beast.

“... my spirit roots...” The boy had a worried face as he say that with a pale face.

“Ah, you don’t need to worry about spirit root. I don’t need you to have a strong spirit root since that can be changed when you are ready. However, I do need you to be strong in both mental, spiritual, and belief.” Chu Meng Yi replied back without any hesitation.

In the boy’s eyes, this beautiful - too beautiful for words - men in front of him was so profound that he can’t think of any word to describe it. After all, he wasn’t ignorant nor was he ill-informs like most of the kids in this town are.

He knew who these three men are.

According to rumors, these three men are very strong cultivators practitioners.

Master Yu Ying came to this town two-three years ago and cause commotions inside the Tri-Stars Auction House. The man had sold a Grade 3 Talisman, three Grade 3 weapons, and a set of grade 2 armors.

    It nearly causes a bloodbath.

If that wasn’t enough, the second time, the man had sold 3 potion bottles of High-Grade Healing Potions, 10 sets of grade 3 Magical Herbs, 10 sets of grade 3 Spiritual Herbs, and 50 Grade 3 Beast Cores.

Now, that time, he has seen the aftereffect of what happened outside of the Auction House.

There were a lot of dead bodies.

And yet, what surprised him the most was the fact that Master Yu Ying said that he didn’t make those things. He said it out loud that his Master had instructed him to sell them.

He even told the people that were fighting him that soon, his master will be selling more things. So, for them to better earn more money to bet on them.

At that time, no one takes Master Yu Ying seriously.

That was, until, a week later.

This time, Master Yu Ying went to the other auction house, the Purple Jewels Auction house, and sold them 10 sets of Full Armour. All Grade 3. Not only that, he even sold 20 grade 3 weapons to the auction house.

So, now, the Liu and Tang clan had enough weapons to go head to head with the Shui Clan.

“What are you thinking of, little boy?” Chu Meng Yi interrupted the little boy’s thinking.

“H-huh? A-about Master Yu Ying’s past action?” He hesitatingly answered.

Chu Meng Yi turns toward Yu Ying with a questioning look in his eyes.

“Master, I think that the boy was talking about when you had me sold that ' stuff’,” Yu Ying answered with a bow.

    “Oh.”

    Silence.

The boy nervously plays with his torn clothes.

“So, do you want to work here? The contracts will be for 10 years for now.” Chu Meng Yi went back to ask the boy.

“Yes!” The boy answered so fast that it surprised Chu Meng Yi for a split second.

“Okay. Before that, what’s your name? What do you want to be called by?” Chu Meng Yi recalled that he hasn’t asked for the boy’s name yet.

“...” The boy looks depressed. “... the other kids called me Ah Guo... I don’t have a name of my own.”

“Hm... In that case, from now on, you will be called Guozhi Fang. Guozhi is in the passing record of time. Fang as in Dawn. Your name and meaning are to record the passing time of dawn. Guozhi Fang. From now on, your code-name for working in this store will be Yu Fang. Your name is Guozhi Fang. Your identity is one of the workers of this store. A member of the store. Understand?” Chu Meng Yi asked the boy with a tilt of his head, not letting the boy answer No.

The boy’s eyes teared up as he nodded.

“Yu Ying, take Yu Fang to take a bath and get him some new clothes. The rest, you know what to do,”

    “Yes, Master,”

Yu Ying took the boy with him as they vanished from their spots.

Chu Meng Yi went back to what he was doing. As he continues to update the customer’s data.

There was no one else like Yu Fang, but there was one girl who have the Nine Ice Phoenix body constitution. Only, she’s the daughter of the Town’s Lord. So, Chu Meng Yi ignored her. Besides, that girl’s soul was very dark and dirty, so Chu Meng Yi wanted nothing to do with her.

The rest of the day was spent like that with Chu Meng Yi updating, spying, on the customer's data information while Li Youran hold him with a small barely-there smile on his face.

While the two men were spending their time carefreely, the customers downstairs in the store wasn’t getting any less crowded.

No, in fact, it only got crowder and crowder. To the point that there was nearly a couple of fights.

It was a good thing that Chu Meng Yi had enough insight to make sure that whenever the spiritual qi and magical aura inside the store got too wild, the formation would open. It is a harmless formation that would act as a warning that inside the store, there will be no fighting tolerated.

So, the first day of the store opening was a success with more than 8 thousand people coming and going constantly.

It was to the point that the Free Market within the town was closed down for the day since all the store’s owners were here inside Little Bee’s Store and Restaurant.
