Hello! i see a fellow dogblood lover over here hahahaha coming to the discussion, have you read "Professional Body-Double"??? it's really good. in fact, the author (shui qian cheng) mostly writes dogblood angsty novels. so if you are interested, then you can check them out. oh, and if you are looking for something short then you can also go for, "Heart of glass" and "loneliness"
I'm currently obsessed with "Today the scum gong screwed me over again"- It's not gut wrenching angst, but it does have darker moments and the misunderstandings along with the pining and heart stopping Clichés are just terrific. It really hits the feels and the comedy is right up there to balance the agitation on point
