Hi! Just trying to see how many people is still a fan of this novel after so many years. If we can get a official translation of this novel, would anyone be interested in this? From what I'm aware there are many holes in the translation and it's all over the place,but if one person finishes the whole thing would people be interested in seeing this? *edit: should probably note that this novel is currently dropped
Your post title says retranslation. So start from vol 1 ch 1? That seems like a lot of unnecessary work considering that the latest release is up to vol 16. I've only read Sooky's translations but hers seemed to be fine. It's a good story though. I'm sure you could find an audience for it.
It may be unecessary work, but it will still improve the flow, and the missing chapters will be done as well. There will be less confusion and the readers can support the author directly if we can obtain the licenses. Though her other works are also being considered, so if anyone else prefers those it will help for us to know.
Ah I see. I appreciate your level of dedication. Personally, I would be interested since I'm rather picky about readibility and translation quality, but I can't speak for others. As for other works, I'm also a fan of Gu Fang Bu Zi Shang but that has been completely translated. So even if you retranslate it, you probably won't find an audience for it. I'm surprised you are trying to obtain the license. As far as I know, most translation groups don't bother (other than WuxiaWorld and Volare)
Yeah wuxiaworld and volare does licensed work but only Chaleuria as far as I know does BL lol, and we need more BL Thank you very much for your input though! Much appreciated
I'm honestly even more interested if the dropped novels would get picked up instead of retranslations. But if it'll make you happy to redo it, then just go for it. It'll be more satisfying for you instead of forcing something you don't wanna
I'm interested! I just recently started re-reading the series from the beginning, so it would be nice to read a re-translation too. Not that there are any distinct problems with the previous ones, though. Good luck if you decide to go for it~
I remember there are about 10 volumes that aren't translated, or at least summaries but not properly translated, I'm also working with what's possible to license and atm jjwxc novels are not available so... I'm honestly happy to do anything lol I complain but I'll do it anyway Thanks everyone for the input!

Its still ongoing tho isnt it. Up to volume 20 I think. While the translation hasnt updated in a while. I actually am interested I was just waiting for it to be finished. Not gonna lie im drawn by the beautiful cover art the volumes seem to get.
