The MC is the gong but he doesn’t realize his true feelings until the middle of volume 1. There are 3 volumes total and 3 extras. But before that, ML casted a few spells on the MC to make him fall for him. Things get fluffy from Ch. 7 onward. There are a few other couples in the novel like the rabbit and wolf, the prince and his bff, another fox and human, etc. Total of 8 couples (including ML’s sister).The main end up having one kid of their own but not mpreg. The MC eventually cultivates to immortal level and lives happily ever after with his fox.

No, they’re just side characters. They have no more than 1-2 chapters fully dedicated to them.The author leaves them to your imagination which is nice.
This novel is fluffy AF. An Junyue and Liu Li got together in less than 30 chapters lol, and keep making everyone else around them eat dog food. There is also quite a bit of fluffy smut. For those who like relationship switch, at one point there's a detailed smut scene in which Liu Li is top and An Junyue is bottom. It's sorta left to us to determine whether the switch really happened or if it's a dream...... (An Junyue, the MC, is mainly gong) There are also other BL couples around them: Di Ye x Bai Rui (wolf spirit + bunny spirit) Prince x National tutor (I can't get their names right lol) Ghost cultivator x Fox clan patriarch (I'm pretty sure they were in a relationship though I haven't gotten far enough to tell for sure. Fox clan patriarch's stance against human lovers is pretty telling) ...and there's probably more, but I gotta read further to know for sure.
Is there a reason the kid refers to them as his parents? Do they just resemble his parents or what? He seems to be able to speak so probably not a newborn.
The kid in chapter 2 calls Jun and LL dad and mom. It's like they're imprinted in his mind. Anyway, they both adopt him. Later on, he'll have a brother (formed from LL's inner core which LL extracted earlier; the core fell into Jun's cauldron used for cultivation pills). So then the core cultivated itself and became an adorable baby. There is an incomplete side novel with the 1st kid, Qingran, and another fox, Liu Zhan. The author quit. As for the 2nd kid Liu Zui who can morph into a fox, he's paired with a white wolf.
