This was another BL Quick Transmigration novel that I read during my QT binge. I don't remember much of the overall story, but in that arc the MC transmigrated into a xianxia world, and had to pass some kind of cultivator exam or competition. The last part of the exam was a place with dozens of graves. The MC noticed that two of the graves were different from the rest, one of which was taller than the other. The MC swept the graves and used his blood to trace the faded names, and once he did so, a secret path opened. He found out that the two graves belonged to a pair of master and disciple that were both secretly in love with each other but died without confessing. IIRC, the master rescued the disciple and took him in, and so in the disciple's heart, his master was a god-like existence that he couldn't contaminate with his lowly, earthly desires. At the same time, the master grew very fond of his disciple, but considering their difference in age and power, he didn't want to say anything in case his disciple felt pressured to be with him. Once, in battle, the disciple took a sword for his master and died. The master, heartbroken, went to tidy the disciple's room and found a diary that recorded all of the disciple's feelings for his master, how scared he was that the master would reject him if he found out, but how even more terrified he was of being the one that blocked his master's way to becoming an immortal by tainting him with such ideas. (IIRC, that's why he chose to die in battle for his master, even though it would have only seriously wounded but not killed the master.) Knowing his disciple's true feelings, the master was overwhelmed with regret, and chose to destroy his own cultivation and follow his disciple to the afterlife, even though he was only one step away from becoming an immortal. Their friends buried them together, side by side, in the last stage of the exam, so that young cultivators who would come after them would also continue to take care of the two graves, and bless them to be together in another life.
cultivation world bl is not my thing but this one sounds tasty. Hope it will be found soon. +1 camp added.
Ahhh, sorry, I think I should explain that this was only a short side story in one of the arcs, not the main story, so please don't get your hopes up too high! (>~<) I think the whole last part of the exam was done in a few chapters. I don't remember the main story nor whether the main story had any good angst, but fingers crossed it's a good one!
You're right, I'm like 95% sure it's QT? ...Or...like, at least 90%? I really hope I didn't get it mixed up with another novel ^^;;;
I am joining the camp... Waiting for the name to shine its light down on mortals like us... about to be frozen in cold (not joking its cold here)
