Summary: the MC is a guy who has the 【Zhen still wants to live 500 more years】【朕真的还想再活五百年】System. he's already lived 100 some years in different worlds at the beginning of the story. his system makes it so that every time he transmigrates its into the body of an emperor/ruler/royalty/someone at the top of the world. the system mission for him is to make sure the country/world he's ruling over doesn't get destroyed, so like basically be a good emperor

MC meets ML after the first world in the novel (already like the nth world in the storyline) after a long time of living thru worlds by himself & feeling lonely because no one remembers him again after he transmigrates to the next one. what ties ML and MC together is a pearl thing on an anklet the ML gives him in the novel's first world which shows up on the ankle of the MC in every world after that.

MC name is Jin Yuqing (靳雨青), he's the uke/shou

this is my first time doing this so im copying everyone else & pinging @alexfilia to ping everyone i read up to world 3 so far and like it, will put summaries below thx

-he has an empress and a son (his 2nd son) but
-the son is the kid of the empress and MC's younger brother/imperial prince (so he's got green hat hahaha)

-in original story the empress and her lover build up power in the palace and military and use the ML's army to overthrow the emperor
-emperor gets to be scapegoat for stuff in the country and ends up being locked up and starved to death
-while empress and lover take the throne in his place with support from generla ML
-MC's mission is to make sure he's still emperor and the country is still running good
-MC's younger brother (the lover to the empress) is the protag of the world so MC can't touch him too much
-so MC decides best thing to do is get general on his side
-in original world the younger brother protag secretly frames the ML's family for things he didn't do and has the emperor lock him up and like kill his family or somethin g (sorry forgot)
-then the protag "saves" the ML from prison and earn his loyalty
-in this world MC finds out the real evidence and saves the ML general himself, then has him stay at his guard/companion in the palace
-meanwhile he like messes up the protag's other plans
-by getting rid of the corrupt officials and not getting distracted by his harem (bascially he's a good emperor)
-but MC also pretends to "spoil" the empress a lot by promoting her family members and stuff
-and sons of concubines in the empress's family
-empress is i think a daughter of a concubine so that makes her family unhappy
-and ML is part of main family but gets snubbed by emperor b/c of emrpess so his family doesn't lke empress as much anymore
-anyways it's bunch of politics and acting and MC pretending to be the emperor 'swayed by the beauty of his empress'
-in the end he gets rid of the empress and her lover and the empress's family and puts his 1st son (by some other woman) in line to the throne
-ML general goes to war for him and gets poisoned by an arrow and asks to retire to countryside
-MC is like feck that and he leaves the ministers with a plan to keep the country running with his first son on the throne and abdicates to chase after ML
-MC finally finds ML in the countryside and they stay together
-they liked to admire the leaves best
-also this is the world where the ML gives MC a pearl which he never saw the MC wear until one day the MC takes off his shoes and show that he had it put on an anklet and wore in his most secret place
-so one day after admiring the leaves ML lies on the table and takes a nap
-he does this a lot so the MC doesn't think much of it until he tries to wake ML up for dinner and find he's dead
-by the next morning their neighbor comes to call on them and finds MC hugging ML, both are dead on the table together

Spoiler: world 2: "the elf king's man"

-MC wakes up in world 2 as a beautiful silver-haired shiny-winged elf king (around 16)
-it's a fantasy world but all we read about are elves and like magic beasts
-so like 200 years ago or something the god of the world left it behind and a lot of magic died out except for the elves who ended up coming out of their forest to rule over everyone
-and the elves always choose a king to rule over them, the elf with the strongest magic powers
-what happens is that when elves come of age they have this ceremony to test magic, and the elf with the brightest light/purest wings gets chosen as king (i don't know why the elves in this world have wings, maybe they're angel hybrids or something)
-so MC is the newest king with a palace and shiny clothes and stuff (btw the elves love shiny sparkly things)
-but he's not really powerful because the kingdom is ruled by like a holy priesthood or something that basically use him as a puppet
-also he finds out the pearl thing the ML gave him in the past world is here too, as an anklet on his foot
-he starts holding hope that maybe the ML transmigrated over with him
-so the protag of this world is a black-haired elf orphan that had like no magic or something and was scorned/hated by the rest of the world
-until his powers exploded or something when he grew up, and he ended up destroying the elf kingdom cause he hated them so much
-the MC didn't even do anything to the protag in the original world, he was just the unlucky cannon fodder caught up in the slaughter and died w/o even knowing what was going on
-so MC's mission is again "make sure the elf kingdom keeps existing/prospering"
-he asks the system how to find the kid but the system's being stingy and says "i don't know, but he's still young, has black hair, and a mole under one eye"
-and MC's like omgwtalsdfjlasfj, there's thousands of elves that could fit that description but the system doesn't care lol
-anyways the priesthood tells the MC he has to talk at the annual speech-giving ceremony or something again
-MC goes out in public, wows everyone with how pretty he is and spots a random 13-year-old black-haired kid in the crowd that's getting bullied (our ML!)
-he goes to stop the soldiers from bullying him and tries to convince the ML to go back to his palace, because he fits the description of the world destroyer protag
-in this world the priesthood has brainwashed everyone to hate black-haired elves with no magic so yeah this kid is bottom of pecking order
-while MC waits for ML to respond one of his soldiers just knock the kid out lol, MC goes ".....guess that works too"
-ML gets taken into palace, washed up, clothed, and uh....chained to bed b/c soldiers assume that's what MC wanted him for = =
-MC gets delayed seeing ML because he faces the priesthood who talks him down for taking in a dirty black-haired elf
-MC has more spine than original host and sticks to his guns
-ML wakes up in bed, assumes MC ordered him chained up, and digs out his rusty knife (the people who cleaned him didn't throw out his dirty clothes but piled them in a corner so he found his weapon easy)
-ML attacks MC as soon as MC shows up by his bed and scratches his face, but MC's magic is too strong and stops him and holds him down
-ML's like 'i'll never be your plaything/slave/
-MC is like =.=; 'who told you you were going to be that?' 'also i wouldn't do that do a kid give me a break'
-anyways before ML can struggled free MC just heals his injuries (he's one of the rare elves who can still use healing magic) and pats him and basically wins over ML with his softness b/c no one's ever treated ML so well before
-ML's like 'why do you like me, i'm a dark-hair elf'
-MC's like 'as the elf king, you are one of my people too', ML gets touched
-fast forward to daily life arc, MC realizes that ML has magic inside him, he just doesn't know how to control it, so he personally tutors him in magic in secret
-MC also reforms the country and doesn't let the priesthood do as they want---for example, in original storyline priesthood created some spell that can like force people to obey them and MC's like 'nope we're not doing that imma gonna destroy this spell right here'
-BTW spells in this world are cast through chanting runes and stuff, just so you know
-meanwhile the main villain is another member of the priesthood, but much younger, who's insanely jealous of MC for some reason and wants to be king in his place
-he eventually plots for the MC and ML and their guards to get attacked by a really high level magic beast while they're out doing purification rituals
-(because magic has been lost a lot of the magical beasts in the world have deformed and become evil or something)
-the MC's two guards all die protecting him, ML nearly does too until he sees MC risking his life for him, then he awakens his hidden power
-turns out he's a demon elf (dark elf?), one of the earliest races of elves or something but anyways his eyes get all red and he turns yandere and goes 'anyone who hurts my king will be killed by me!!!'
-ML helps MC out of the forest only to run into an ambush set up by the jealous priest elf
-ML ends up killing more magic beasts and maybe some guards or something?? i forgoet
-but the jealous priest elf calls for more reinforcements
-ML's like 'let's get out of here!' but MC sees that it'll be impossible for ML to defeat all the soldiers and ML can't die here if he's the protag of the world
-so he pushes ML aside and yells "scram!" just as the soldiers come to surround him
-ML feels hurt and misunderstands MC pushed him away b/c he didn't like that ML was demon elf, but MC was just trying to protect him
-anyways they're separated for 4 years
-MC becomes prisoner in his own palace, tormented every 2-3 days by jealous priest elf
-he forces the MC to drink and dunk in tubs of demon elf blood, which is toxic to pure elves (and MC is the purest one of all)
-MC tries to contact the system during this time but it doesn't respond, and is basically living a life worse than death
-finally 4 years later the MC is forced to wear his crown and appear in public again, but he looks awful and his wings are all black and tainted
-the superstitious elf population all call him a liar and a worthless dirty tainted blahblahblah bad elf
-ofc this is when the skies suddenly turn dark and the ML shows up all broody and yandere and kidnaps MC away
-to like this special cave place surrounded by a death trap of corrupted magic beasts and stuff (the cave is made of some magic black stone that repels the dark/negative energy)
-it's where the ML ran to 4 years ago to escape being hunted
-it's near a lake also filled with the negative energy repelling stones, which also has good water and fish to feed the two of them
-and ML and MC live together a while, ML splitting between acting cute & wanting MC's attention to like angry resentment and obsessing over MC
-but dark!yandere ML seems to recognize the anklet + pearl more, which puts MC in a bind b/c he wants to see if this ML is his ML but that would mean making ML go more dark which would also mean the end of the world if he got in a bad mood (aka mission fail)
-one thing ML does is bring MC a tree with red leaves, saying he 'thought the MC might like it,'
-MC remembers the tree from the trees he and ML used to watch in their past life
-ML also brings the MC a little rabbit, only to get jealous when the MC pays it attention (eventually ML cooks the rabbit for dinner) = u =
-ML at first thinks MC just abandoned him but then learn from his magical beast spies how the jealous priest elf tortured the MC and vows to give him a fate worse than death
-jealous priest elf is now the new elf king, so ML sends magic beasts to haunt him at night and give him nightmares and bite him
-(ML can make the beasts do things for him in exchange for offering his blood to drink)
-jealous priest elf calls for more guards but no one else can see or catch the magic beasts, he also doesn't dare to tell the head priest he's been bitten (aka contaminated) b/c that was the reason the people impeached the previous elf king (the MC)
-finally he gets driven to desperation and finds a way to set a fire to force all of the magical beasts out
-ML is smoked out and forced to deal with the beasts rampaging everywhere
-MC (who's still weak and stuff from longterm torture) is left behind in the cave, but it starts collapsing because of the concentration of negative energy from the rampaging beasts
-so he somehow makes himself a cloak out of the black rocks and chases after ML
-ML is facing off against the jealous priest elf turned elf king and his retainers, who realize he's a demonic elf and shrink back in horror
-then MC shows up and everyone's surprised b/c they thought he was dead, but then they hurl invectives at him for being tainted and cursed and recognize the ML as the boy he took in all those years ago
-ML vows to destroy the world b/c he thinks it's absolutely worthless, he also says even if no one recognizes MC as the king, MC will always be 'his king'
-by this time the system FINALLY wakes up and even has an upgrade, MC asks how to stop ML from destroying the world
-system says there is one way, to sacrifice MC's life in exchange for a spell that will heal the entire world
-(system also gave MC a mission earlier to help the birth of a new god, but MC was too preoccupied to worry about that yet)
-MC's like 'but if i die, who's going to continue the main mission to preserve the elf kingdom'
-system doesn't have time to reply before fighting kicks in
-in the middle of the fight ML exposes the jealous priest elf king for being tainted already by magical beast bites, once his clothes are torn off it's revealed his skin is completely black and his hands and toes skeletal or something
-the retainers recoil in horror
-then they beg MC to save them, as their king
-ML is like 'who are you to call him your king?!'
-retainers go 'but, but...if MC is the king, he has a responsiblity to save this world!'
-and ML's like bulls***, none of you stood up for him while he was suffering and being tortured and maligned, he owes you nothing
-and ML proceeds with his 'i will destroy this worthless world plan'
-but MC goes 'even if they were wrong, this world isn't wrong, and neither are its creatures'
-then he tells ML 'wait for me, i'll definitely come back' and starts chanting the sacrifice spell the system gives him
-long story short the world is healed, the animals and plants return to normal, even the jealous priest elf king gets his regular body back
-MC finishes the spell and ends up lifeless
-ML....ends up turning into a god, because all of his excessive magic was to hide his godhood while the world waited for the descent of a new god
-the elf retainers realized they not only cursed their world's long missing god, but also his most faithful supporter/their king, and quake in their boots
-ML says the only reason he's not destroying them now is b/c MC told him not to, and b/c MC promised to come back
-he then catches jealous priest elf and says 'you want to be a king so much? then i'll make you a king'
-a jet black crown and glorious cape appear on the jealous priest elf's body, one elf tries to move the crown in curiosity and breaks off a piece, showing white bone beneath
-jealous priest elf screams; turns out ML fashioned the cape and crown out of his body's bone and flesh
-ML then says he doesn't care about this world any more, the elves can do whatever they want, he's leaving
-the elves beg him not to but he's like 'yeah right losers' and vanishes with the MC, leaving no trace behind
-MC and ML end up going to the god realm, where the gods' servants have been patiently waiting for the next god for the past 200 years
-ML lies MC on his bed in a really shiny, sparkling room; at first he wanted to redecorate but when he remembers how all elves like shiny things, he decides to keep them in hopes that MC will like them after he wakes up
-he bathes MC in holy water daily, feeds him, etc etc until MC recovers his radiance and brillance again (he also stops aging from the moment the ML gave him the water and become immortal)
-it takes MC another 5 years 9 months before he wakes up
-MC and ML live happily in the god realm
-then one day MC says he misses the mortal world, so they go down
-by now the elves have fallen on hard times since they've lost their god and their prestige
-they're overjoyed with the MC and ML's appearnce
-MC becomes elf king again and sets about fixing the kingdom, doing reforms, dissolving the holy priesthood and reducing prejudices amongst the elves (basically be a good king)
-MC then yields his kinghood to a successor and laves with ML
-a long, long time later, when ML yields his godhood to the next god, both of them lose their immortality
-eventually, MC's time to die comes, but he tells ML in his heart to definitely remember his name (Yu Qing) the next time they meet
-he activates the system and during its 5 second countdown he hears a voice saying "Yu Qing, Yu Qing, wait! wait for me!'
-but he doesn't get to see who it was before he gets whisked away

Spoiler: world 3: 'the cultivator turned into an idiot by tribulation lightning'

-MC wakes up in xianxia world while in a cave and discovers he's the sect head of a demonic sect, he's also not human, but a snake demon who cultivated into human form....
-his mission is to make sure the demonic sect prospers...
-in the original world the host did a bunch of evil things (or was accused of doing evil things) and gets crushed by the righteous sects
-the protag of this world are a righteous cultivator and his true love
-the righteous cultivator turns out to be the ML hurhur
-so in the original storyline the host attacked the ML after coming out of his cave seclusion, thus affecting his cultivation breakthru to the next level
-MC's like nope, not doing that, i'll stay here in this cave and mend my injuries; he ends up hanging around for 2 years
-but by the time he gets out and snoops around, he finds out the ML was attacked by demonic cultivators anyways, and everyone believes it was MC who ordered them to do it just to cripple MC's cultivation progress
-MC's like 'wth?! i was in a cave when that happened, does this mean there's no avoiding canon?'
-anyways he remembers the next plot point is when the ML meets the female lead, falls in love and later on team up to beat him up
-so he decides to has to stop the ML and female lead from meeting no matter what
-he goes to a mountain where the female lead's supposed to be and spots two cultivators there at the same time; his ankle and its anklet heats up, which makes him think one of them's the ML (because the anklet always heats up and reacts when related to him)
-but the two cultivators disappear in a hurry when they sense a strange fog on the mountain, finding it unnatural
-it takes MC some time to react before he realizes it's fog for tribulation lightning! someone's breaking thru!
-so he runs for it and hides too
-but the next day he comes out, ML literally falls from the sky right at his feet = u =
-MC is about to go when he feels a lightning bolt, and uses his treasure, some sort of magic red umbrella, to block the blast for them both
-he checks to make sure the ML is still breathing and tries to steal his sword, but its too heavy for him
-then he tries to leave when he hears ML's sect members' voices as they hurry up the mountain but ML grabs his ankle and refuses to let go
-MC somehow gets free but then ML grabs his wrist
-MC has no choice but to flee with the ML before the sects start accusing him of hurting the man himself
-MC takes ML back to his mountainpeak and has his best friend (2nd head in the sect, known for his cheerfulness and bloodthirsty sword) heal the ML with pills
-MC's known for coveting pretty people so his friend doesn't find it strange, only warns him not to get in big trouble with the other sects for hiding him
-MC's like yeah i know, we can throw him out after we make sure he's not dead
-MC's best friend comments that the ML keeps muttering some name while he's unconscious, prolly someone important to him
-MC asks what name and the best friend goes "Qing something..."
-MC (Jin Yuqing) freezes at that and promptly decides to keep ML there with them
-ML eventually regains consciousness but has completely lost his memory and his wits, acting like a child
-MC is forced to look after him, they grow closer that way, MC likes how ML is obedient and always listens to what he says
-MC's a big flirt in this verse because his host was like that, and doesn't hesitate to keep up the jokes and flirting for the whole story btw
-ofc trouble comes knocking next; first an all-female sect loses a few of its key disciples and all the rumors say that MC kidnapped them
-then the ML's sect master and fellow disciples find out ML's with the MC
-all of them confront the MC in front of his house, he pleas innocence and says he's willing to prove it
-ML followed MC out, shocking everyone when he doesn't try to attack MC right away
-then ML shocks MC by saying in a formal tone that he'll support MC too, and that the disappearance deserves a serious investigation
-the righteous sects all trust ML's words so they agree to cooperate and disperse
-MC asks ML if he's regained his memory
-ML said it felt like those people would listen to what he said so he said what he thought was best, then he faints from exhaustion
-MC is impressed that ML's idiot brain can come up with a plan like that and brings him back
-long story short MC and ML go out to investigate the missing people
-they have a run-in with a girly man who's a cultivator of another sect, he seems disturbed at the sight of MC and runs away
-MC takes ML flying on his....soemthing, until ML senses people in danger and tells MC to go down and help them
-they almost fall into a trap with a mind-controlled cultivator who claims it was MC who kept him there and killed a bunch of others
-the cultivator tries to kill MC too, but ML stabs him to death first, before fainting again
-MC finds that the whole area's under some sort of seal/spell and go to a cave with unconscious ML to treat him
-while ML is unconscious MC talks out loud and says the place is tainted, but the water seems alright so he'll test some first before giving it to the ML
-before he can drink it ML immediately wakes up and stops him because the water is fatal for demons/monsters like MC
-MC smiles and says 'so you've recovered your wits, ML'
-ML is like 'when did you find out?'
-MC is like 'when you asked me to go down to save the people. if you were still out of your mind, how would you have sensed they were in trouble in the first place, much less ask me to go down? maybe you regained your sanity even earlier than that, and only pretended to be dumb so you could stay by my side and find evidence of my sins, then kill me'
-ML doesn't deny it, but MC then asks 'why did you stab that cultivator for me?'
-ML says the cultivator was infected with a bad spell, if MC tried to help him the spell would transfer to MC instead
-MC acts all touched and lovey dovey and ML gets annoyed
-then they get attacked by some monster/swarms or something and get busy fighting them off, before continuing the investigation
-MC believes the female sect members were taken into an illusory mirror (?) world, he and ML find the entrance and go in
-it's a place that shows a person's worst fears, but is also good for cultivation as long as you don't lose your mind to the hallucinations
-MC and ML end up in a snowy landscape because MC's host body's worst fear is the snow and ice and cold (since he's a snake), MC even reverts into giant snake form and keeps huddling up to ML for warmth
-eventually he gets coaxed back into human form after 3 days, and after ML threatens to cook him for dinner otherwise
-they exchange stories around the snow
-when ML was young, he found a young snake frozen in the snow and saved it, only to be bitten
-MC remembers that when his host body was young, he was a small snake on the cusp of cultivating to human form when a snowstorm trapped it in the snow and ice; then when a human saved it it bit him out of desperation to drink its blood (?)
-anyways because of that MC took the last name of the boy who saved him and even made himself look a little like him so as to thank him one day
-ML reveals that he was that boy; he changed his last name when he entered the sect and he still has the snake bite on his body from that time
-MC is amused at how fate has tied them together
-they break thru the illusion and continue into the world, where they meet one of the female disiciples wandering around an illusory town, deluded into thinking she's a common girl who has to offer to work to earn money for her family
-they follow her to a hole in the ground that leads to an underground chamber where all of the other disicples are kept---not only the female sect disciples, but multiple disciples of other sects who's been missing for a while
-they've been sealed and have seals on their bodys, so the MC being a seal master offers to help
-they don't trust him but the female lead (also one of the kidnapped) stands out and volunteers since it was her cultivation mistake that attracted monsters and made them weak to the kidnapping in the first place
-ML's presences there calms down suspicion as well
-ML and MC ask them about their kidnapper b/c everyone says it was the MC and his signature fan weapon
-but after calming down they realize the kidnapper only held the fan as a decoration and actually attacked with his sword
-he was dressed like the MC, but hidden in black robes, the most they remember was the red light given off by his weapon
-MC suddenly comes to the horrifying realization that the kidnapper was his best friend from his own sect, framing him for his own misdeeds
-ML and MC quickly decided to get the disicples out of the place and back into the real world
-however they run into MC's best friend along the way, who tries to stop them
-the girly cultivator who ran away from MC also shows up as the best friend's ally
-he traps all of the disciples into a large pit, where the best friend (some sort of blood cultivator) has been performing all sorts of seal and etc experiments on them by plucking out their cultivation dan;
-his only wish is to kill as much as he like so he can have more experimental subjects while MC can play at being sect head, but MC won't even allow him that
-he tells MC off for trying to clear his name and being a 'good guy' when they're a demonic sect
-ML and MC prepared to fight him, but ML suddenly has a spell of weakness
-MC realizes that he's been feeding ML all of the best friend's pills, so ofc ML's been compromised
-the best friend uses his blood to start like...absorbing/dissolving the trapped disciples
-MC tells ML to stab him, because ML's sword is a weapon designed for dealing with demon/monster types like him
-ML refuses, but MC says only his blood can counter the best friend's blood seal, and also tells ML that as a 1,000 year old snake demon he won't die from something like this, ML just needs to grab him and run when he's done
-ML still won't do it, so MC just ends up impaling himself on ML's sword before turning into snake form and rushing to rain his own blood over his best friend's blood seal
-MC succeeds, and then he and ML flee for their lives into another part of the illusory world
-they find a house to hide and use dual cultivation to recover faster
-turns out best friend was part of a long line of doctors who found their own cultivation way via pills/medicine
-however their family was always looked down on by other cultivators, so they wanted to make an ultimate pill to condense 100 years' worth of cultivation in one serving
-best friend is a descendant of this family who went on a demonic path in search of power
-MC and ML end up witnessing part of best friend's past in the illusory world, where he was a child and tricked another daoist into picking medicine for him before killing the man with his own sword
-they also found out the best friend ended up killing his own father and brother in front of his clan
-this was over 100 years ago, MC suddenly remembered how he first picked him up as a half-dead orphan, then the best friend had woken up and the first thing he said was 'i cannot die'
-then they see another member of the young best friend falling off the cliff as a child and dying, only for a red bird to see the body and transform into its exact likeness, thus taking its place. best friend wasn't from the medical bai family at all, but this bird in disguise the whole time
-as it turned out, the red bird's mother (the most beautiful of its species with the prettiest song) was killed by the Bai Clan (best friend's human form's family) or seomthing to increase their cultivation levels with her dan so the best friend vowed to take revenge by taking the cultivaton dan of humand disciples as justice, his enemies are all of the righetous sects in the world
-he also hates the fact that MC hasn't grown to hate the righteous sect like he does despite being maligned by thme, and how the MC has no goals to take over the world, and did all those things to frame the MC to force him into a breaking point so he could be a true demonic sect head
-MC realizes his best friend has gone off the deep end
-ML attempts to attack best friend but it gets blocked by the girly guy instead, who awakens best friend to his senses that there is still true feelings inthe world
-unfortunately, it's too late and best friend has already sealed them in the illusory world until his blood seal completes or something
-meanwhile the disciples who escape contacted their sects who all gathered at the entrance of the illusory world
-somehow, MC and ML break thru with best friend, MC takes the chance to expose the Bai Clan's misdeeds and harvesting of demons/monsters to the other righteous sects and makes him promise to pay back the losses as well as dig out his and his clan's cultivation dans
-the best friend knows MC is trying to help him but says he can't erase his hatred, and doesn't even have a name besides the identity of the Bai Clan member he took on, he then ends up killing himself with his own sword
-100 years pass, ML ends up leaving righteous sect to live with MC (ML's master makes up a lie that he's in closed door cultivation, but most people knows where he really went off to lol)
-ML and MC end up listening to gossip about themselves in a random inn, one of the peeps mentioned the female lead saying MC looks better than ML lol, especially when MC smiles
-the others are like how do you know, have you seen MC? and he says no, but i've seen a painting by a female red bird demon that cultivated into human form
-hearing this ML and MC track down red bird demonness turned human and glance at her from a distance
-ML proposes bring MC to his sect to tell his master officially about their dual cultivation
-after all this time, master grudgingly agrees and the duo live together for the rest of their lives
-ML also loses MC's pearl/bead thing in uh....MC's behind (long story)
-next is the story epilogue, where 1000 more years pass, MC and ML are almost at immortal/godhood
-they're debating whether they can survive the 99 tribulation lightning but promise to find each other again in their next lives (as an expression, ML doesn't remember the transmigrations)
-ML suddenly asks MC if he has another name, because he remembers Yuqing
-MC's eyes light up and asks him what else he remembers
-ML says he remembers MC in yellow emperor's robes, how he laughs and how he cries, and a bunch of others things that shouldn't have happened before, and different people who shouldn't be MC and ML but feel like them
-MC is very happy and wants to say more when he suddenly falls asleep
-ML is perplexed before he suddenly hears a voice in his head "Stop it, stop it! Save him!"
-ML has no idea what it means and gets a headache trying to remember more things
-MC only fell asleep out of exhaustion, but he's very happy, in his dream he suddenly realizes he's all alone until the system tells him he's completed his missioj
-because of this time's success, he unlocks the bonus "Love at First Sight", where everyone who sees him will love him, effects lasting up to one year
-system also says it's been experiencing some abnormalities so it'll have to separate it and the MC from this world ASAP, and wishes him luck in the next world because failure will reduce all his points to 0 and punish him!
-MC doesn't want to go because ML is still in this world, but the system is already loading the next one
-then he ends up in the next world...

EDIT: forgot to add after MC leaves ML is left behind in world
-he wakes up and finds MC missing and the name...token thing of the MC broken, which means MC is 'dead'
-he gets really mad and goes looking for MC
-he hears the voice in his head again going "Stop it! Stop it, save him!"
-and ML yells to the skies 'how dare you take MC away from me!'

The first world is TOO MUCH alike QWFOD... like, too much. Is this novel good?

MC's personality changes a bit in each world to match his host body so i can't tell what he's like originally
i think it's fresh in that he's always some emperor/king person tho

we don't hear about it for the rest of world 3, MC thinks he might have absorbed it into his body or something as a cultivation ingredient....

.......MC and ML were on the bed and ML was trying different kinds of...play....

 

Just read through the first arc, and it's not like QWFOD at all. I think the initial post might have mistranslated something, because there's no empress character in the story that I read.

The MC/emperor has a single brother, who was like seven years old at the start of the story and mid-teens when the original emperor died, so he's not really a threat. Original emperor had a problem with spending all his time with women and being incompetent at ruling, which caused massive corruption, lost wars, and generals turning against him. There wasn't anyone explicitly plotting against him, he pretty much was responsible for his own downfall.

In the original timeline, it was ML (who was also the main protagonist of the world) who had a problem with his wife cheating on him with some other guy. They framed him for corruption and plotting rebellion. The original emperor believed the lies and executed ML's entire family, with only ML escaping alive. Thus the ML turned against him, raised an army, and brought down the original emperor.

In the new timeline, MC tries to do his best to prevent the ML from turning against him. However, his actions kept getting mistaken for him having a thing for ML - by the entire court, by the peasantry, and even by the ML. MC wasn't actually going for a seduction plan originally, even though he seems to be bi, and admits the guy is really easy on the eyes. Over time however he does come to love ML as well.

Also there was no antagonist for MC to counterattack against. Preventing the ML from marrying the cheating girl was as simple as just ordering ML to cancel the engagement. MC also arrived before he had accumulated any women in his inner court, so there wasn't any empress or concubines for him to worry about. He planned to hand off his position to his little brother anyway when he finished his mission, so there wasn't any point to guard against him. Majority of the plot consists of the MC wearing himself out trying to "fix" the country, occasionally have ambiguous moments with the ML, and then later on worrying while ML is out fighting a war/conquering the neighboring country and then coming back poisoned.
