Maybe there's a forum/site where people post them or some particular search term to find them. I hope the visual can lead me to discover some good novels that I wouldn't choose to read based on the summary alone. Plus it's always nice to have an idea of how the characters look like when you read the text.

sometimes you can find some on deviant art but the best way to find fan art is to type in the name of a particular book (better in the original language of course) and search google images. not much help but it's better than nothing.

Why not go to the NU site for the novel you want to find art for, scroll down until it shows you the original title, then stick that into google?

I always find mine through an app called Lofter! You’ll have to make an account tho, I think? I set it up so long ago I don’t remember haha

Other than Lofter, I like to browse Weibo too. Both sites have a treasure trove of fanarts!!

Or search the novels original language title in NU and then search in Baidu if its Chinese.

Twitter. (Use tags, for example #ScumVillainsSelfSavingSystem or #六爻)
    Tumblr.
Pixiv. (Also uses the tag system)
Lofter. (copy-paste the novel name after 'tag', just like in the link)

You don't need an account to browse and download fanart from Lofter. There is a handy trick:
open the page (top right corner of the post) -> 'View Page Source' (or equivalent) -> search for 'stripmeta' -> open the link.
