If by synopsis you mean what's the setting/more details; the mc is the head detective of the special investigations unit and has a team that includes a shapeshifting cat, a snake secretary, a wandering soul, a skilled user of the dark arts and a new recruit. They basically have jurisdiction in cases that seem beyond human doing/are supernatural/deal with di xing people. The ml is a university professor at a local university who gets mixed up with the supernatural cases almost all the time and has done research on di xing people (there's a complicated history and lore around their origins but in essence people with supernatural abilities). Which is all I can say without giving away any spoilers.
Based on the intro post, I would say the gong is ML, Shen Wei, the gentle, reserved and beautiful professor. "Easily switched" as in, easily mistaken as the opposite, because the shou seems like a gong and vice versa, or like ahem, bedroom activities' positions? Anyway, a kind person/group has started subbing the series, so far 3 episodes. Watching the trailer, I also thought that Prof. Shen Wei was the shou, cuz he looks so pretty.
It's been adapted into live action tv series. So far 27 episodes have been uploaded in online watching sites, but only 3 episodes have been subbed.

i just watched till eps 4. still waiting to watch all. n̶o̶t̶ ̶e̶n̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶e̶r̶n̶e̶t̶ ̶q̶u̶o̶t̶a̶ ̶o̶r̶z̶ it's pretty interesting for a drama. comparing to the novel......... well i always have tendency to prefer source material so the novel is still better lol
