I've finished the first arc of the novel and marathon-watched the drama. So many differences. For a casual viewer, the drama would have been an okay popcorn series to go through when there's nothing to watch tbh. After I got through the first novel arc, I realize, that you're right. The source material is much better. Unexpectedly hilarious and filled with lots of horror scenes. Everyone has such sassy lines compared to the drama. :/
indeed. the novel is better because practically it has more lines and space to expand. i especially like priest's works for the characters. they are mostly interesting and amusing.
Nope, the drama's ending is not like the novel's. The novel got HE, with extras of their daily life. The drama is more like open ending. The MC and ML never got together in the drama.
This video basically sums it all up: Spoiler: Guardian Review by AvenueX Because I also only watched a couple of the earlier episodes, haven't download the rest yet.

Does anyone know if there are explicit scenes? since it's labeled as yaoi in the NU page, and is it FTB or detailed if ever there is/are?
Its clear as water. Suddenly jump to the next day, he feel so weak. I wonder did he went to catch thief or what?
Dipped into it a bit sometime back so memory is a bit vague but other than a few kissing scenes described, I don't really recall seeing more explicit scenes than those...
