Well, it is done by the same site dev after all. Why fix something that's not broken? Granted, we've done some tweaks on the author's post to make it more visible than it was on the previous site.
Hope knowledge of Maria's background doesn't stifle interactions between her and Claude too much. It was a pretty good chapter considering he got half forced into cooking. Edit: This was in reference to chapter 95.
Last I recall, the older sister was there when Claude "defended" himself against those of that gang. She was also talking to her little sister about it afterword. I think the last time Claude and Kefnie had a mentioned interaction was during the New Years celebration.
Spoiler me people... how long (chapter) until he finally leaves to conquer the new continent??? Btw: i felt really bad for him killing the poor bandits guarding the casino, those guys have family too, the boss giving the order to support the family of the dead ones was cool too...Lorist was way superior MC....
yep that was just randomly racist out of nowhere. "Chinese people are the only civilized people in the world" essentially. Dafuq?
En todas las novelas chinas tienen que decir que los chinos son superiores y los demas inferiores. Sino te cancelan la novela como le paso a Tales of the Reincarnated Lord
Well, to be fair, he was having the MC remember someone else who was racist. I wouldn't say all Chinese novels are like that... but I have seen it more than I care to. Korean and Japanese novels can be nationalist too; I find it more bearable because it's usually less extreme though.
I don't know about Koreans, but Japanese WN are basically "black hair means you're blessed by god, our katanas and cuisine are superior" with a sprinkle of "nothing happened between 1930-1945, we Japanese are a peaceful people." It is a nationalistic, but like you said it's less extreme, and comes across as silly than malicious (except when they whitewash WW2 war crimes).
To be fair, if you're reading the raws, you can tell the author's testing the waters with what's acceptable with the censors and what's not. There was one chapter where a slightly racy scene was included, nothing too extreme or graphic, but the censors removed the part the next day with the author intentionally highlighting the fact subtly in the writer's thoughts (it's ch 174, not released yet, but I'll be translating the uncensored version). I'm not surprised he wrote that part because of certain pressures. Given how out-of-place it looks with regards to the rest of the story, I'd say that doesn't represent his true intentions. Interesting observation there. He was careful to state that it had come from the MC's boss in his past life, which leads me even further to believe that it is not his core belief.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. I don't think my post was spoilery, if that was your concern. I was only responding to some of the previous replies.
That's weird. I see you quote me but I have never replied to anything in this LCD. And the quote that you quote me also didn't belong to this thread but from another one.
Apologies. I must've accidentally clicked the quote and threw it with the other multiquotes without checking. Really gomen orz
Gotta wonder how Claude is going to handle his Kefnie situation later on. I hope Arbeit doesn't come back later on as a antagonist if the ferd family rises again.
Claude repeatedly refers to himself having womanizing ways, but I don't recall any detail implying that he did in either his past life or this one. Cool to see Anna learning more from Claude. Hope she'll play a bigger role later on. Gotta wonder how 'little puffball' will turn out.
He has trust issues after his wife cheated on him, whether he was actually a womanizer or that's an excuse he came up with isn't really clarified.
