Tales of Herding Gods. This novel is in my opinion the best xianxia out there. It's so good it doesn't even feel like it's xianxia because of the MC and world building, but it technically is. As for the body sharing you are looking for, it takes a while for it to happen but it's an important part of the novel after it does. If you want major spoilers for the body sharing, Spoiler The mc is only the second consciousness of their body. The first consciousness was too dangerous so it was sealed by this dude who has literal worlds on his corporeal body. MC calls the first consciousness his older brother but because it was sealed when it was only a baby, it's very childish. Pure evil with no malice vs. MC who's cunningly kind-hearted and good.

Before that, the most that happened was that experts were curious about the seal so they tried to unseal it out of curiosity or someone was close to killing his life. They get rekt because of that either way and becomes afraid of MC. MC stayed unconscious and unaware during those times but when he finally knows about it, he frequently makes deal with it (tricking him lol). While 500 sounds very far, the current chapter is 850~ so there's more than 300 chapters worth of content where body sharing is relevant available rn.
