That's totally understandable. I figured there would be some folks who felt that way, and honestly hesitated myself before deciding to do this. If people want to keep their camera turned off and just talk, that's also an option (but no pressure to come!).
Can't come. I don't have the Zoom app or space on my phone to download anything. I also won't be comfortable. Sounds like a fun idea though.
What initially got me interested in CN novels was King's Avatar, I watched the donghua with some friends and went looking for the novel when I realised it existed, and that's also when I discovered webnovels (i had only been aware of lightnovels before that). But what actually got me into the community was danmei lmao, before hearing about mxtx's works i had no idea there was actually such a large community for all sorts of translated cn/kn/jp novels.
I am Chinese american, and initially, I wanted to get more in touch with my culture. I watched a lot of dramas, and lots of them were based on books. Because of that,, I decided to check out some novels. Now, I just like them and thats why I read
I used to live in China and really fell in love with the language and culture. I used to watch a lot of Chinese dramas, but now I spend more time reading Chinese novels. I especially love "refreshing" face-slapping and rebirth novels, which don't really exist in English. I honestly don't remember how I read the first novel, or which novel that was, though.
