You're not lagging! We still have a week and a half of March. I just wanted to get a head start on choosing next month's book since last time we didn't pick one until nearly a week in. My goal is to give everyone several days to weigh in on which book they want to read before announcing the next book on the last day of the month. That way folks who are ready for the next one can start on the first if they want to. Also, nobody should feel pressured to finish the book in time. Since we're using the forum to discuss books instead of meeting in person, we'll all still be here whenever you finish. At some point we'll read a book you don't want to read, and then you'll get caught up. Or maybe not, and that's okay too! Also, feel free to comment on the book as you read it. We're pretty good about using spoiler tags (or at least saying what chapter we're on), so you don't have to finish the book before you join in the conversation.
By the way, if anyone wants to vote anonymously, just send me a message! Unfortunately I can't create a new poll in an old thread. Otherwise I'd do a poll every month. @mYboiS @Szara @Mental waifu @ToastedRossi @ReaderReader
April's book will be Very Happy. Find the discussion thread here: Very Happy Discussion Thread. I've already started the discussion, so stop by and let me know what you're hoping to find in this book! On a house-keeping note, I have figured out how to add and remove polls from the thread and will be using that to choose our next book moving forward.
Hello~ I’ll be joining the book club since Very Happy was on my “to-read” list Some of my favorite novels include: Supernatural Movie Actor App My Husband is Suffering from a Terminal Illness Mist Global Examination Where is Our Agreement to be Each Other’s Arch-Rivals? And I was just about to give Copper Coins a shot. I’ll probably only join in reading the BLs and GLs. Excited to join the group!
We are enthusiastically discussing the first chapter, so no need to wait until you finish the book to join in the conversation!
Aside from our book this month, Very Happy, what are folks reading? I'm reading Married the Scum Gong's Villain Brother, which is pretty fun, but also includes one of my pet peeves - poorly written mental illness
I'm reading The Demon King Always Think That I'm Secretly In Love With Him... So far it's pretty good
I’m about to start BOSS Transmigrates as a Little Cutie. Fingers crossed it’s decent cause I’m in the mood for unlimited flow Edit: I started it and it’s definitely not unlimited flow. Low key disappointed
it's basically a genre that stands for all genres. so the novel can have cultivation aspects, fantasy aspects, modern aspects, etc. most of them are separated by arcs tho so it's not one huge mess i'm rereading i'm not human!!
@writtenforcup said. Here’s a thread that goes into it https://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/what-does-unlimited-flow-mean.109738/ It’s mostly associated with survival games and horror novels but it shares a lot of similarities with quick transmigration since it involves world hopping.
I'm finishing I'll Be the MLs Sister-in-law. Can anyone recommend a book similar to Dreamer in the Spring Boudoir? I finished it a few weeks ago, and since then I haven't found anything as good.
How about some short tragedy novels like One Night, One Day, One Year, One Lifetime, Mulberry Song, and Ballad of Ten Thousand Gu. If you don't want tragedy, then Our Second Master is pretty good. Mostly due to the story tellng.
I decided to give writing a shot. Take a look a let me know what you think. I probably won't write a whole novel, but I might add a few more scenes or a summary of what will happen in the future.
