So...this is a really good novel that gets practically no love on QI. Or at least that’s what the rankings say.

That can be because it’s on QI, but I still think that it deserves more love! So what is it about? It’s about two people who were married via arrangement. Our protagonist, Qiao Anhao, has loved her husband for thirteen years but has never had the courage to confess. Then everything else is spoilers that people should read instead.

Hopefully this will help spread the love!

 

If it was named 'bringing the nation's waifu home' you'd have so many readers.

 

I quite understand the rankings. It's probably not because it's a QI novel, but because reading about a sadist ML and a spineless FML who both have some sort of disorder that makes them unable to converse properly gets old real fast.

 

I did hear that the story gets really good after they both realise their feelings but I have a hard time reading through all the abuse the ML puts the FL through...I can´t understand how she still loves him

 

The typical reasons in an abusive relationship, 'it's not his fault' , 'he cares about me' , 'i can change him' , 'he's different when we're alone' , 'it was my own fault'. I must say this is the staple shoujo ML though, the asshole that they can change.

Some people like puzzles, some like DIY husbandos that require assembly.
In comparison it's like how people dislike 'waifus' that insta-love MC for no reason, they need to be conquered. It's a process that adds interest.

I’m wanting to say chapter 150ish. But that’s only when he starts trying to be gentler to her during sex. He’s kind to her way before that.

 

I´ll give this story another try once there are more chapters and I have the time xD who knows, maybe I´ll love it

I really started reading this story again..turns out it really turns good but I have been reading the raws and I have to say I HATE THE STUPID MOTHER AND HER COUSIN!! In the end the whole mess is her cousins fault....I could have understood the mother of his brother...but she went to far...what does she take human life as?!

Though now I’m curious about how it’s Qiao Anxia’s fault.

 

That's why I didn't say anything specific And we already know it's Qiao Anxia's fault in the current chapters, don't we? After all to get out of the engagement she faked the recording so that everybody thinks Qiao Anhao and Xu Jiamu are in love? This means she started the whole mess

I don't think he appears again? But I'm not sure...(he's not important enough to disturb Qiao Anhao further )
