Yes, though I prefer BL. Due to censorship a lot of BL can be considered bromance, especially if it's gonna be on TV or in a movie.
I've never read that shit. Pretty sure everyone saw it in movies way before novels. Any movie with two guy friends is probably bromance even way back in Lethal Weapon(1987). More recent examples would be Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, Harold and Kumar, Jay and Silent Bob, Hangover, Dumb and Dumber, Bill and Ted, Merry and Pippin, Frodo and Sam, elf and dwarf, Sherlock and Watson...
Never...cause I never did I think it's tad bit leaning towards BL...just brotherhood is fine...any excessive awkwardness I get goosebumps.
Because it's wholesome and fun to read two guys getting along and being close friends without having any pressure of questioning their relationship, as they know they love each other platonically, even though people over-sexualize it a lot now. (not trying to start anything here). My favourite bros are Jeb and Todd, from a Webtoon. They make me miss my man Josh who moved away without saying anything by accident. Then he remembered, like, a year later and sent me an email saying: "Lol oops I moved, my bad" and Yes, I cried for a good time about that because he was a good friend, like a soul-mate type scenario we got along so well, but now he's gone.
I discovered that I liked bromance, was when I realized that not all of them are straight women's freaky fantasies, (and yes it had no "17+ only" conent warning)
In this one kdrama(?) Where the second male lead and male lead get drunk together and habe a deep talk it's funny and adorable!
