    Okay there is this novel that I want to add to NU but I'm not the author or translator and I think it's an original, am I allowed to add it on NU?

    NU is for Asian novels translated into English, so if the original novel is not in an Asian language than no.

    I believe you are allowed to add novels even if you are not the translator, but as others have said NU is for Asian novel translations. No originals allowed. Check item 3.10 in the Novel Updates Site Discussion FAQ.

    Like others said.
    NU is a Directory site for Asian Translated Novels. So you can't add it to Nu. And beside, unless the Author permission(as in the translator in this case or the writer), you still can't add it otherwise.
    In the forum, there is a Community Original. If you have the Author's permission, you can try adding the novel there.

    shouldn't it have to be translated? No matter what language it is as long as it is translated to engrish/english?

    NU is a Directory Site for Asian Translated Novels. It can be Any Language, but it Need to be Origin from Asia. So Western Country, like America(then of course English/Original Novels), France(French), Germany(German),etc....then NU won't accept them.

    well if the original is in any Asian language and you can show a draft of it. . .
    (not a mtl draft of the translated)
    ex.
    like printed old novels, short stories or the like,
    also you need the approval of the author, well incase the author is deceased or something, well a tribute on the Authors name. . .
    in case it is an aspiring writter, well atleast some drafts or in case if it's a blog type a url?

    Just looked through the FAQ, nothing seems to indicate that novels translated into English other than from asian languages are forbidden. Only original english novels are ._.

    But a moderator would probably be more clear about this.

    it based on syosetu and that thing still fail to reach invisible dragon
    using loophole which is make story on another language > convert it to JP > post it on syosetu > translate into english > post on NU

    Just because @Aicila didn't add a section to the FAQ saying "what novels can be added", it doesn't mean that non-asian novels can be added.

    On these cases you should just check the NU Policy instead: (bold of my own doing)
    So... Only Asian novels. For the sake of NU's policy btw, Russian is not considered an Asian language.
