I am so happy to see the end of Praise the Orc!, and I hope to see the fans of this story telling me "I am alive". Even if the journey lasted less than a year, this story has changed my outlook on life, and hanged my morals for the better. From a lying bastard to a magnanimous person who would help the elderly and homeless when they were trouble, I want to hear from you. My only question is, are you alive? http://www.novelupdates.com/series/praise-the-orc/ If you haven't checked out this novel yet, please believe me when I say that the author is top tier in implementing game systems with the real world in conflicts, it almost seems seamless I am definately alive, live by the warrior's creed, and perhaps you will find real fulfillment in your life....
Why exactly do you believe (Praise the Orc!) is full of stupidity. Or in the case that I misunderstood, why do you think I am full of stupidity besides liking a certain novel?
What the... it’s finished translating already? Feels like just a month when they announced that they will be translating it.
I'm glad someone understand the significance of this, it asks whether you are truly living or just being a machine with preprogrammed responses. I am truly alive, my brother!
This is the series where I find myself what it truly means to fight. Even without much romance or fanservice *cough* JP novels *cough* I still enjoyed it since it gave me thrill and the values that we should live with.
If there is a sequel (like the author how the author left the end open ended so that they could go back at any time.) then I believe that Tiyo and Anor will force open the dimension with artifacts and make Ian (Crockta) fulfill his vows, since a Orc's word is their honor, and Ian couldn't live and besmirch his honor while Lenox and his predecessors are watching. Crockta wiil always fulfill every vow he has made, at least I believe so. How so? If something truly moves someone and their moral compass, would it not be considered a piece of great literature to the person who experienced it? The fact you are on NovelUpdates does not give you any credence in calling someone else a Chuuni, considering you yourself are reading translated Asian novels. The very fact you signed up to make an account to comment already makes your claim null and void, if I am a Chuuni so are you.
The ending didn't really do much to give us closure. What happens to Tiyo? Anor? What about Ian's relationship with his sister, Laynie or that coffee shop girl. So many relationships that I would've loved to be explored more. Also, Anor was kinda forgettable. He was with Crockta for like half the story, and after he is introduced, he like never talks ever again.
Hey you guys forgot about the new shout of the orcs in the epilogue.. BUL'TARRR!!!! CROCKTAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I'm alive!!! Are you alive??! Bul'tar!!!!
He was not in the story until Crockta had already arrived in the North, and the fact is that 5-7 chapters revolved solely around him, more compared to Tiyo who had been with him longer. This was implemented to be a way to let us know how the World Tree would respond to the other gods goal to label Crockta as an enemy of the world, since only elves could hear it. Also it gives us a back-story on why necromancers exist in the first place, and why their bloodline is for some reason considered cursed. The fact that Anor only shows his prowess in large skirmishes or battles against army's or at least regiments or legions is a huge reason why you may think he is forgettable, but him and the other necromancers alone are enough to turn the tide of a battle from "impossible" to "possible". Crockta needs him as a way to introduce new elements into the story and add suspense as the Undead army rises back upon their plain of existence, and as a way to add a kind of "Deus Ex Machina" to the story in case the writer writes themselves into a corner and has already published it and has no idea how to move forward from there... Also the fact that they are going against the natural order is to be expected of Crockta's companions in the first place, since every one of them feels like they are made molecule by molecule of pure concentrated bravery, recklessness, and justice. Something I wish our world had more of.
Is there any other way you could possiblly respond?! Bul'Taaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I am alive! Even if for the first time in a decade! Prove your honor! Show me if I am wrong!
