Can we filter the release page in terms of language?

There are too many CN releases daily and I'm not into CN novel anymore. I just want to see the releases for KR novels or perhaps JP too in the front release page.

I look around the settings but can't find such feature.

So is it even possible to do so?

I don't think there is an option for this, but if you filter out xianxia, xuanhuan and wuxia from the genres and add Quidian to groups for good measure, you should be 90% done.

Many already asked this, but @Tony said no cause he wanted to encourage people reading new things.......while there are people that only want to stick to their preferences...

I mean... this proposed feature would be neither good nor bad... which should be the biggest reason to not do it. Tony should spend his time on more consequential additions than something which is entirely unnecessary and in my opinion goes against your own goal of finding different types of novels.

Not all Chines novels are the same, there are some which read like Korean or Japanese novels and some which even read like a western book not to mention the several Classical Chinese releases which hold almost no similarity to your standard or even orthodox Xianxia novels.

Try filtering out the things that you've become tired of and you will be surprised at the amount of novels that are left over in the Chinese category.



Though if you can't be bothered to do that just take the CN novels off of your reading list and they will no longer show up highlighted or you can just blacklist groups or genres.
Though i see this as the easy way out.

Don't generalize that all CN novels are the same. Just like western novels there are vast differences between them all. Just stop reading the same kind of book, has nothing to do with where it was written from.

 

Personally, the only CN novel I like is https://www.novelupdates.com/series/neet-receives-a-dating-sim-game-leveling-system/ because it's the only one I've found that didn't have a scum bucket Young Master saying "I, your father" every five seconds. So, I would honestly also like this option.

But there's people like me that add a ton of shit to lists claiming they'll try it but never actually do.

 

I know that feeling. I bookmark stuff all the time, thinking I will read it one day, but deep down I know it's a lie and I will never open a single chapter from most of them.

But seriously bro, people will do whatever they do. Even when you think they might do A, theyd do B. If this thing exist, i could use it to find jap novels or koreans, coz ive been reading too many chinese novels. It enables us to find something out of the garbage ratings some 2cents army sent out imo...

 

LoL I filtered most of the of the tags I disliked soon as I found the feature. Removing Qi novels soon after their stunt. I'll also be adding things like xainxia soon. I've had my fill of the never ending game of "death to those that insult me" that makes up the majority of the genre.

 

I wish there was an option like that, there are times when I want to just look for a JP novel but I have to browse through all the CN novels clustered in front of my face and try to look for that one update that's in different colour. Yes, I can use the series finder thing but its filled with novels that are dropped so I have to individually click on them and check the latest release date and all that hassle. I'd prefer seeing novels that are still updated.

If you want non standard CN novels, Release That Witch is quite a good exemple of a CN author going full western style and doing it well.
And if, like me, you are sick of all those repetitive, filler filled, hypocritical double standardised power trips, with stupidly pridefull psychopath MC fuelled by plot armor and potted plant jade skinned harem xia stories, go for good parodies of thoses like Cultivation Chat Group or My Disciple Died Yet Again.
