Question Can you request for the light novel version of a web novel to be translated

    Like the title says can I request a translation for a light novel of an web novel that's all ready hear yes or no.

    Do you mean permission from the light novel publisher or the person translating the web novel? You could just go ahead and translate it, but what you are doing is illegal, well most fan translations are. So you might get DMCA.

    I think he meant whatever is it frowned upon like translating something someone translates already.

    O kk, then no it is not. The WN and LN versions are treated as different entities. Go ahead and translate it if there isn't an active translator translating the LN.
